About Geeks on Wheels:

Geeks on Wheels is a mobile computer support and repair task force. We travel to your home or office to fix troublesome technology and help solve your computer problems.

We have staff based across New Zealand in Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupō, Hawke's Bay, New Plymouth, Kapiti Coast, Wellington, Palmerston North, Nelson, Christchurch, Ashburton, Dunedin and Invercargill.

Here at Geeks on Wheels, we have spent over two decades assisting New Zealanders with their IT needs – we take the stress and frustration out of tech repair, malware removal and everything in between, so you can enjoy your laptop, computer, smart TV, Wi-Fi network and other technology, exactly as you are meant to.

“Very efficient service, following a pleasant initial phone call to establish the problem with our security cameras and remote viewing. Sam arrived in a timely manner and after a few questions was able to quickly sort out the issue and resestablished a reliable way to view videos remotely, in less than an hour. Thanks Geek team.”

“We would very highly recommend Angus from Geeks on wheels . He was on time , friendly , respectful and polite and very knowledgeable about setting up our IMac . He provided options for all our needs and ensured we understood our new computer. He linked our iPhones and iPads and future proofed our software. Angus was patient with us and nothing was a problem. We would encourage everybody who needs advice to use this service .”

“I had multiple problems with my PC and laptop. Jessee (Christchurch) was very methodical and patient with me, as he repaired things, and explaining the process along the way. Highly reccommended.”

“Ben was patient and kind, even when he had to explain something twice. When he left all my queries were solved.Computer land is hard as i grew up with manual typewriters and remember the excitement when calculaters were introduced!”

“Ashvin did a Super Job in sorting out the issue with my Emails. He removed a Malware Virus. Ashvin then connected my Laptop with a separate 27inch Monitor Screen , and made sure it was all working. He also checked other things with my Laptop computer to make sure everything was working as it should. Ashvin also paired my mobile phone with my printer so that I can now also print from my mobile phone.”

“Geeks are great at fixing laptops (5 stars) but the wifi troubleshooting service is very average. I was warned in advance that the fault may not be resolved but hoped for more indepth testing for the $200 charge. My tv intermittently freezes and double-takes which I (amateur) read can be high jitter. My ad-hoc wifi measurements show great download speeds but really variable jitter with an average of 38, worst was 168. (Ping ~48.) He said that might be just my laptop (fair enough) but he only tested speed, looked at my current wifi settings and said freezing is normal without ethernet. He did suggest that I could replace my tv or (2 mnth old) dongle and use ethernet but he didn't check the ethernet, even from the remote (satelite) wifi box that the tv would use. A nice enough chap but I am not confident in his approach to spend more $$ on this theory. UPDATE: A second, more experienced, Geek (Ben) has now checked and tuned our wifi / setup. It will take a few days to see if it worked (the fault is so intermittent) but we do know that it has been properly considered and thoroughly investigated. Definitely happier with the quality of the service.”

“Rang Geeks, got James, excellent, explained situation, he understood, made appointment for next day, great service. Next day, lady rang me from Geeks to say technician, Frank, running a bit late, no swear, Frank rang to say on his way, turned up 5 minutes later. Nice guy, explained situation, he got it immediately, set too, pulled out old gear, hooked up new modem, downloaded Deco app to my iPad, set up modem. He was about to go, we noticed light had changed to red, still had time on call, fixed problem, then set up my phone and laptop to new WiFi in the house. Great conversation, great guy, 10/10 for service from Geeks-on-Wheels, thank you guys 👍😊👏”
