Geeks are great at fixing laptops (5 stars) but the wifi troubleshooting service is very average. I was warned in advance that the fault may not be resolved but hoped for more indepth testing for the $200 charge. My tv intermittently freezes and double-takes which I (amateur) read can be high jitter. My ad-hoc wifi measurements show great download speeds but really variable jitter with an average of 38, worst was 168. (Ping ~48.) He said that might be just my laptop (fair enough) but he only tested speed, looked at my current wifi settings and said freezing is normal without ethernet. He did suggest that I could replace my tv or (2 mnth old) dongle and use ethernet but he didn't check the ethernet, even from the remote (satelite) wifi box that the tv would use. A nice enough chap but I am not confident in his approach to spend more $$ on this theory. UPDATE: A second, more experienced, Geek (Ben) has now checked and tuned our wifi / setup. It will take a few days to see if it worked (the fault is so intermittent) but we do know that it has been properly considered and thoroughly investigated. Definitely happier with the quality of the service.

Justin explained the problem I had on the computer well.. Also he said that DVD remotes are available at the shop but I see you can get apps to do the same, this was not suggested. Also he didnt respond in time for me to purchase a computer through geeks on wheels and in the meantime I arranged my own purchase. I would use geeks on wheels again if the need arose.

Ryan came to our house to determine why the external hard drive is not recognised by the brand new Sony TV and managed to cure the problem, so we thought at the time. Less than a week later the same problem reoccured. As a result of the on going problem, Geeks on Wheels advised I approach the retailer to submit a warrantee claim which is currently under action. I appreciate the service and response of the geeks on Wheels organisation and can recommend others to their services.

I got him in to fix a problem which he sorted out in 5 Mins As we haad more time I got him to look a couple of other things which was great. He was one of thge best IT repairers I have dealt with

Advised arrival time and upon arrival set to work . Ryan was pleasant and tackled my security camera issues but unfortunately was unable to fix the issue. Tried his best and was courteous and efficient .

I thought Tom M displayed good knowledge and fixed the problem with Sonos and computers by copying all saved music to my installed NAS drive, then scanning music. Now works well. Thank you.

Prompt service given and good help with the upgrade of our system. There were some things linked to our e-mail change over that could not be done at the time but we had some help from friends so did not need a follow up and one issue was also done via remote help. We would book Hershal again - we are very happy with our new updated system. Thanks Geeks on wheels

Steven was on time but had a lot to do. He tried to explain to me what he was doing. I could not understand a few things but some was okay. After Steven left the building some items came straight to me . Steven was very knowledge, just to much work. I will leave the old laptop as I cannot send email using xtra.co.nz. Anyway thanks Best Regards Brian Francis
