Geeks on Wheels are a mobile computer support and repair task force. We travel to your home or office to fix troublesome computers and help solve your computer problems. We have staff based in Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Kapiti Coast, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

Here at Geeks on Wheels, we have have spent more than a decade assisting New Zealanders with their IT needs – we take the stress and frustration out of computer repair and malware removal, so you can enjoy your laptop or computer as you are meant to.

We have a genuine, customer service-based philosophy, delivering the experience and expertise you should expect from a team that have been visiting Kiwi homes since 2005.

Paikea was prompt, was professional in a friendly way. He answered all my questions in layman’s terms. Set up my new ASUS laptop without fuss, made a few recommendations and reconnected other devices-scanned and printer. No fuss. No bother. Was courteous and helpful.

The Geek, Nate, who brought things back to 'normal' was very good at explaining what needed to be done and then doing it! He explained very clearly what he was doing and it was relief at what he achieved, and things are now normal! As a result I would willingly recommend Geeks on Wheels to anyone needing assistance. Sam had a very calming vibe that instantly put me at ease. He helped me understand the set up of my cameras, whilst also connecting my Fibre in a more efficient place. He positioned my cameras as per my direction and guided me through the app while I was using it. This helped me understand the system fully and I can now confidently use the the security camera app independently. Top bloke

Anthony was super efficient and helpful and sorted out my list of things to do within an hour - linking new laptop to scanner/printer, updating Zoom and Teams, putting all my email addresses where I can find them etc. Really apprecite his work - saved me hours of fiddling - well worth every cent. Ben was very good at explaining how everything was connected and was he was doing at the time regarding cleaning the ink jets and getting the printer working again.

Ben V. from Geeks came to have a look at my computer on 2 September. 2025. He told me I need a new one. We discussed what would be the best option. He said that he would get the new computer for me, then come and collect the old one, then transfer the data and then bring the new one back to me. He phoned me the next day and asked me the same questions he had asked me the day before. I was surprised that he had not written down what we had discussed and decided the previous day. Four weeks went by and there was no follow up. He never contacted me aqgain, so on 3 October my daughter took me out to J.B. Hi Fi and we bought exactly what I needed. It took us less than 15 minutes in the shop to buy my new computer! I can't understand why Geeks were so slow. Ben V, led me to believe that he would do the job within a few days.

Today I learned over the course of an hour and a $180 fee that the cable from headset to computer was faulty. I bought one for $12 from the Warehouse. Oh - it would be good to be able to figure stuff like that out by myself.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Geeks on Wheels. Their service was extremely poor, and the technician I worked with seemed to waste my time rather than solve my problem. Despite being charged a high fee, my computer issue remains unresolved. I expected professional and efficient support, but what I received was the opposite. I would not recommend their services.
