Val completed the job of making my laptop run more efficiently as requested by me. My only regret was that I had not purchased a better laptop initially as I feel that I have wasted money on the purchase. However I am satisfied that my laptop is now running to its maximum capacity and my thanks to Val for that and explaining what was required.

We only had an Annual WOF today. But the young employee JamesC was outstanding, well mannered helpful and only too pleased to explain what he was doing or had done!!!

While Geeks on Wheels technicians provide a good service (technically-wise), you can't always get them when you want them - you have to book several days ahead - and unless you keep asking questions they don't always explain what they are doing with your computer - I am someone who wants to know everything that's being done and why. That is, I like things being explained to me by the technician and that doesn't always happen. This last time when I made the booking I was told that customers with Gold Cards received a small discount. No mention was made of this by the technician when the time came for payment and as far as I can see no such discount was applied. In either event, being told one thing and it not being put into practice does rather put a sour taste in ones mouth. So, there is room for some improvement in Geeks' service.

Andrew was unable to find a solution for our problem but it is clear to me now this is because there was not a solution. He was assisting in setting up our new monitor but I completely forgot to ask him if he could dispose of the old ones. If this is still possible I would be grateful if he could drop by and pick them up.

I have found the Geeks who have come to sort out my computer problems all good. Sanju, who came to install Windows 10, was particularly good and knowledgeable about the system. My only query is the cost, but then I don't have any other computer fix it company to compare with.

Found John very knowledgeable. Have set up Lightroom and Photoshop but unable to print. Canon Pro9000 firmware and driver unavailable but this problem was overcome when purchasing the previous computer. Are you able to copy firmware from the previous device and load on to the new? Perhaps this incompatibility should have been identified and tested for at home install. (I am always prepared to accept the possibility of user error however).

Regarding work done on Invoice 323061: Scott was very good. He came on two days. The second day my husband received Scott. After a few days I tried to print from my MacBook Pro to our Brother printer as usual via the wifi. It did not respond. It's really a huge discomfort to revert back to the short cable in order to get printing done. It would have been great if Scott could have included this in his visit. We find it too expensive to call in his service again and have tried to communicate with Brother's help desk, but still no success in setting it up via wifi since Scott moved the router. A huge thanks to Andy who did an outstanding job in rebuilding my pc and gave me lots of excellent advice. The only glitch was a Word template issue but tell Andy it’s being fixed by the template provider who told me my templates were due to be upgraded. Something to do with bit size. So really pleased with the service.

Thank you for retrieving my Thunderbird email and all the old files. My PC is running but periodically locks up, The CPU usage is often it 100% usage due almost entirely to the antivirus program Malwarebytes. I have two questions. 1. Can I pause Malwarebytes and run it say, once weekly or on demand? I have attempted this but I haven't succeeded. 2. If this is not possible I would like to cancel my subscription and have a refund. I don't feel the need to upgrade this computer, it is less than three years old, and is not used for any intensive apps, such as gaming, mainly MS office 2000 pro and Photoshop. Peter Sayers
