I started using Gen Mobile and really like it so far. I like that I am able to call back home and I also get hotspot. I can go to coffee shops and use it.

I asked a representative named "John" to change my phone number. Customers are allowed to make one phone number change free per year. Gen Mobile was given my zip code, & as computer systems go, zip code generation matches the area code. I had a Colorado zip code & thought to change it to a Chicago one. It remained a 720 zip code, after the change, & he lied about the amount of time it took for the phone number to change. Another rep, "Alex", couldn't explain why, if a Chicago zip code was entered, a 720 zip code was generated. I just came right out & told her the probabilities, & how area code generation works. She couldn't explain, however said he put a note in the computer of the zip code. I just came out & told her the importance of doing as the customer said. She told what came off to me as a self protective lie, when I asked about speaking to a supervisor what "John" had done. She said there wasn't one available. I countered, having worked in a call center before, there's always @ least one supervisor available. I point blank told her she was covering for John, & asked her if she was telling me take it or leave it. She admitted she was. In summary, it was made clear the desired & required askance. Not done. Then, spoke to a second rep who was unwilling to correct the situation or let me speak to a rep. 23666899

I have their 4g chili phone and it's way more ergonomic and handy than my bulky 5g android. But it works just as well, and the cost is more affordable than any phone I've had before!

This company only cares about paying customers it's been over 2 months since I signed up for the free service only received a phone the Sim card was wrong the told me up to 10days it would be here it's been over 2 weeks do not choose this company

Got Gen mobile from a store in Dallas and it took them 10 minutes for them to port my number in and save me over $30 a month!!!

This service sucks ONLY good thing is its a FREE service The data the calls the towel is trash And worse of all when you try to leave they service it's hell I spoken to a supervisor he released my number made notes he released the number waited almost 5hours at store where I was transferring my number to just for gen mobile to said at first I have to wait 24 hours then turn and say I had to wait 48hours making me miss work because my phone is the way I clock in and out for work they turned my original phone off because they took my number now I'm out of a phone and missing work because of them EVEN THO THINGS SEEMS GOOD BECAUSE ITS FREE ITS REALLY THE WORST I wouldn't be surprised if they don't post my review because the truth hurts they don't want the truth to be told

If you need help with a port, please email genmobilecare@dish.com. Include your name as it appears on the account and phone number or account number. Generally, you need to provide the new carrier your personal information and account information to transfer a number. If you have had an issue, we can help look into it and help get it transferred.
