“We got our bed with a little delay , but we have been informed about it. The delivery then was on time as per email and text message and the guys put the bed together within 15 minutes. They were very polite. The bed looks fantastics it is brighter colour what we saw online but it's still very nice.”

“Instructions clear. Use a rubber mallet to gently push joinery together. Excess screws available . Looks good and is very comfortable with a Simba matress.”

“From a great website and product selection/product information, to a slick end to end fulfilment process I can't fault these guys. Delivery was quick and all in order via Panther too. The bed itself is amazing. Well built, lovely materials in use and so easy to put together. Wouldn't hesitate to buy it again and can easily recommend get Laid Beds”

“Excellent communication. Loved the option to add extras and to choose a finish. Excellent delivery as well and the bed itself looks great. The only major downside was that the bed was an absolute nightmare to build. Parts of it were made out of pine and those were super easy to assemble. However putting together the parts made of oak was nearly impossible. Personally I can't understand why having the installation included is not a must-have when you choose a hardwood finish.”

“The service was excellent right from the ease of ordering, to receiving updates on delivery. I had requested an assembly service. The service and professional of Chris and Susan were outstanding. The actual delivery to assembly did not take more than 10 minutes possibly. The bed looks stylish, is comfortable and looks well made. Thank you for an excellent service.”

“Low Tokoyo Bed not very easy to put together. Instructions could be clearer. And trying to fit the wooden headboard slats together was impossible. Subsequently there are gaps albeit very small bit its not a perfect fit. Also 2 screw caps short. I don't think I would buy again. Sorry.”

“Some disappointment with this order, firstly I was given the wrong information by customer services regarding the use of glue in the construction of the bed, and then when I raised this issue after the bed was delivered, there was reluctance to correct the issue. It’s not been corrected to date and I had to make adjustments as to how I wanted the bed set up. The Oak bed tenon corner joints cannot be tightened which means the bed now creaks when you move in the bed. Other beds I’ve constructed use a form of corner joint that when bolted together actually tightens the joint. I went for this bed because I thought it was superior and made in the UK! The draws have unsightly metal corners on our lovely oak boards, there must be another way to create a corner with the joint mechanism hidden. I think the price justifies a better-quality approach. There’s no obvious sign on the website of these metal corners. The black screws provided in the drawer kit are not wood screws, the gauge is too large, and split the wood, also the raised heads do not allow the boards to sit in the metal corners correctly. I used my own smaller screws. All of the pre-drilled holes in the drawers had to be redrilled as the screws would not go into the oak. As far as lining up the draw bottom boards, I had to resort to screwing them all to a temporary baton during the construction of the draw, even with two people it was impossible to get them to fit, without the extra baton. I would say a necessary tool for the assembly of an Oak bed frame, and drawer, is a good power impact/screwdriver.”

I have listened to all of the calls you have had with the team and I can only apologise that one member did make the error in saying that we do not use glue. We use wood glue on the battens and, on some designs, within the bed frame itself. This person has been re educated already after the incident. I can see that replacement parts were organised for delivery before Christmas for you. Please do let the customer service team know if you are still having issues because of this. We have not had any further contact since the 19th of December. Thank you for your feedback regarding the difficult assembly of the hard wood items and the design of the storage boxes. “Fantastic customer service from the moment we entered the shop floor to having our new ottoman, king size, solid oak storage bed delivered and assembled. No pressure selling, therefore given time to make the correct choice for us. The quality of the bed is excellent and responded quick to a query.”

“After spending a bit of time checking out Reviews to Purchase a New Bed , I was looking for something that’s Well Made , Strong and Modern, I found this company and decided to purchase my New Bed from them , the beds are made from really good quality Oak and they’re definitely built for the slightly heavier People of this world just like myself, there’s also a 11 year guarantee and it’s all made Bespoke which really does give you that extra reassurance of the personal touch , I found from making my order with the friendly customer service lady’s on reception, to being kept right up to date frequently, I chose to purchase the delivery white glove service which I only paid £50 for , gave me the reassurance of a safe delivery and being inspected & constructed for me. On the day of delivery , I was even kept up to date for my delivery time and slot , I found my whole total experience with this company thoroughly amazing right from the start of the order , right until the whole completion & construction of my bed. The staff that work for this company are exceptionally friendly and obliging and I was given they’re experience to make me feel like a very welcome and satisfied customer and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for all they’re good work to anyone else, and I’ll most certainly be doing business with them again. “We drove to the show room to take a look for ourselves. Though it was 230 mile round trip. It was worth it as it was reassuring before buying. Taking little samples of wood was very helpful to match with the rest of the room. Adding the extra height on the headboard was useful if you like to read in bed. Only one slight gripe ... One of the assembly persons was bit careless in how he used the motorised screwdriver at times I saw the screw was sent at an angle I could not say anything as it was so quick.”

“I ordered a kingsize platform bed (space saving) and it arrived in 4 boxes via a courier, who carried the boxes to my front door. The packaging has a cool wood grain pattern on it which is a nice touch! The bed was easy to assemble. Took about an hour. Very simple. Would just recommend that people read all the instructions first before beginning and remember to use the washers on the screws! Would also recommend an electric screwdriver to make the screwing in a bit faster. I’m so, so impressed with the quality of the bed. It’s seriously robust and well-proportioned. I bought this one as it takes up the minimal amount of space - kingsize mattress fits perfectly atop it. I’ve had it for a month now and am really impressed. There’s a lovely wood smell every time you walk into the room (I bought the pine one in honey finish). Have been and will continue to recommend Get Laid beds to my friends, family and anyone that asks!”

“I found this company after searching for some real wood based beds for a cottage that were not hugely bigger than the mattress to reduce there overal size. They have a good range of simple good designs with the flexibility of options like under-bed draws in different sizes and wood finish. Despite ordering just before Christmas there was good order communication and the bed with mattress actually arrived on the stated date of 22nd of December. It was quite easy to put together with a good solid screwed tongue and grove joints, although an electric screwdriver helps. The result was a good-looking solid bed base and a good firm mattress (we went for the 2000 spring one). I would definitely recommend this firm and the Oxford style bed we ordered.”
