Had a very good experience in go outdooors on Saturday 5th March 2022. I bought some wet weather trousers. Josie was super polite and just lovely. She offered a bag which I declined but did check that I was receiving all discounts available be to me. As it happened I am ex military and she offered me that. Well done Josie.

I brought a 5kg bag of Boilies online to go fishing. When it arrived they only sent out 1kg. The weight on the delivery bag said 1kg. But the order number said 5kg so I paid £41 for 1kg. What a joke will never use this company ever again, stay away and buy from your local fishing shops. Customer service really bad and not helpful.

Absolute joke of a company!!! I was emailed and texted on Monday 14th March to conform my order was ready for collection. I went to collect it on Wednesday 16th March to wait for 10 minutes for them to wonder around their storeroom, rifle through a load of other parcels and then they call a second employee. Turns out they couldn't find the package that they had scanned in as delivered 2 days prior, they even tried to tell me it was delivered on Wednesday 9th march (which was the order date) and that it could have been returned for refund. I explained that that was not possibe and the package arrived Monday 14th. Very red faced, they called customer services who told them the same thing is was scanned as received on Monday 14th, she spoke to the second employee who said " Well I was working Monday, but not on deliveries so its not my problem". Then they informed me that "We've lost it, we can't find it" no apology no nothing. Absolutely shocking service, will never order or buy anything from them again.

Bought ladies North ridge jacket from Doncaster store ,had a big problem with down coming out of seams and the fabric, my clothes covered in small feathers and car seat covered every time I wear this jacket ,I went back to Doncaster store and spoke to Peter assistant manager I was told to push the feathers back in the holes and said he would not exchange this jacket ,this meant I would spend all my time putting feathers back in the jacket than actually been able to wear it, I feel he had come across this problem before after speaking to him, I looked at the same jackets in the store and they was the same with down coming out of the seams, I was told by customer service to travel 30 mile to another go outdoors where another manager may exchange this jacket ,this jacket is not fit for purpose the down that is coming out is excessive not just a couple of feathers which I now consider to be faulty ,no signs around store letting customers no about down coming out of this item or on there website.

Ordered 3 magazines. They were the wrong ones. Sent them back for exchange. Never received the correct ones. Now I’m out the money and merchandise. Won’t answer the phone. Worst service ever. I just want to resolve this matter. They just don’t value there customers. So frustrating.

Ordered a coat online, received several messages about the “order is making its way through the warehouse” but the order was then cancelled on the expected day of delivery with the briefest of notes on PayPal “out of stock” Despite this I was still getting messages from Hermes about them collecting the package I am still waiting for the refund to clear - this takes 7-10 working days. So I have no coat and am £180 down - can’t afford to buy another coat until the refund arrives. And best of all - the same coat (in the same size) is still showing as in stock online for more people to fall foul of. Scam? Really poor service, won’t order online from them again

Avoid online ordering. I feel the membership is me paying them £5 for their failings. Wrong item sent. They tried to get me to pay return. Eventually they paid for a courier collection. I chased my refund. They confirmed receipt but refund is 14 days. 1 day to take my money 14 days to return it. After 14 days I am still chasing my refund and they ask me for proof it was returned! Appalling service. I asked for a refund on membership as it is an insult and they say not sure but will find out how to. This is phone calls, being cut off, about ten emails. Tripe! Avoid.

Don’t use this online store. I placed an order they sent me someone else’s order which I returned. They said they could not send my order because they had no record of me returning the other order so I now have no clothing items and they have kept my money. Really no customer service whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.

We were very pleased with the products we bought. As we live in Redditch we were wondering if there could be a Go Outdoors shop in or nearer to Redditch as we have to travel to Kidderminster. Thanks Richard Hendey 10-02-2022

Preston (Deepdale) Went in store to purchase item seen on website at £139.5, Told in stock, at required size, in store item on shelf at £140.00 but wrong size, required size not in stock, left store and opted to do click and collect at same store assuming they would be a few days from being in stock, surprised that they were available within one hour at the same store that 30 minutes earlier were not in stock, and at the 139.5 price. Arrived to collect ten minutes later to be told that they would cost £165.00, when cashier informed that they were ordered at 139.50 she said that was at a sale price, and she would not provide the discount unless I joined their scheme and handed over personal details, name/address mobile phone etc and paid £5.00 joining fee. When she was informed they were on the shelf at 140.00 she claimed that two prices were on the label and it was clear that joining their scheme was a pre requisite of obtaining the lower price, there was no mention of this by the sales person when initially enquiring about the item and there was no alternative price on the label as I checked, there was no mention on the website of an alternative higher price either the cashier was clearly lying, I suspect she gets the £5.00 commission for conning people into providing personal details, will never shop at this store again, or any of their associated companies. Will be making a complaint to the Information Commissioners office, although I suspect that will be a waste of time and also to the local trading standards as they are clearly displaying incorrect pricing. Unfortunately cannot give no stars

Paid over £500 for items,and 2 arrived within 3 days and now I'm into week 2 still waiting for my air porch,Hermes are not doing anything,and when I asked for a refund go outdoors said just wait for it to turn up and refuse delivery so you can get a refund.😲

Dreadful business model. Went in for the first time today and found something I wanted to buy at a sensible and affordable price in the sale. So I thought till I got to the till. Was asked if I had a member card of some description. I said no and the price shut up from £19 to a whopping £40. The woman sing to delight in telling me that was the business model that's been in operation for 4 years. If I wanted to pay £5 for a card I could then have the item at the sale price. I was absolutely gutted and astonished. I wanted the item but would not purchase on principle. Don't know how this company makes any money. And the woman on the till seem to be getting a buz out of my consternation and disappointment.

The lady called Laura on the till today was so helpful and polite. She could not have done any better. I used to train people on customer care and I would have been proud I'd Laura had been trained by me .This was the store in cribbs causeway Bristol

On line ordering shocking. Ordered a Tilley hat for my dad as a present. They sent the wrong size.I ordered again...the order was cancelled. Third time lucky? No! They sent the hat I ordered...right size...but the security tag was left on ! So it was returned. Same story as others.A refund will not be issued until it reaches the warehouse..even though GO arranged a collection and I sent evidence of the collection ticket. Not happy at all. They have offered a £10 gift card..but no where near enough regarding the time I have had to spend on this. Oh and the fact that my elderly father still does not have his Christmas present. Has to be the most appalling on- line service and customer service response.

As said by others, nice stores and staff; but purchasing online useless. Bought a Tilley wool fedora for my husband for Christmas, but was sent a Sealskin roll-cuff toque that cost 1/2 the price. Sold out of the Tilley size by the time I called to complain, and they were going to have me pay the return postage! I had to ask for a return postage code! Ended up having to pay 34% more for the same item on another site. I have previously bought online to collect in store, only to have the store call me right before collection to say items not in stock…despite money having been taken. Refunded, of course; but shouldn’t sell if there’s no stock!
