De borg op mijn creditcard staat nog steeds gereserveerd. Het is al een maand geleden dat ik de auto heb gehuurd. Slecht bereikbaar. Hoelang gaat dit nog duren?

Extremely Disappointed – Still Waiting for Refund After Over a Month I’ve been waiting over a month to receive my £1,505 deposit back from Green Motion. Despite multiple emails and repeated promises, the refund has still not been issued. This is a clear breach of our contract, which stated the deposit would be returned within 7 to 30 days. To make matters worse, I’m now being charged interest on the credit card I used for the deposit. The lack of follow-through and accountability is unacceptable. Their business practices are unprofessional and deeply frustrating. Attempts to reach CEO Richard Lowden have gone nowhere, and customer service has been unhelpful. Honestly, one star feels generous. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

I STRONGLY ADVISE against using Green Motion car rental services! I booked a car with a required prepayment, prepared all the necessary documents, and arrived at the branch on the scheduled day to pick up the vehicle. Despite meeting all the stated requirements, they refused to hand over the car, citing a small loophole in the terms and conditions—something that was never clearly communicated and is very easy to miss during the booking process. The staff was extremely rude, dismissive, and made no effort to help or even explain the situation. They simply told me to leave, as if I were an unwelcome guest. I felt humiliated and disrespected, even though I had done everything by the book. Let me add that I’ve rented cars many times in various countries and I’ve never encountered such an absurd and unprofessional situation. Every other company I’ve dealt with was transparent and fair—until now. Worst of all, my several-day holiday in Cornwall was completely ruined—I had no way of getting there without the car, and everything had been planned around the rental. I lost money, time, peace of mind, and my vacation because of a company that thrives on vague policies and has zero regard for its customers. Avoid Green Motion at all costs – this is by far the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had!

The car rental is 10 minutes away from the airport. They don’t give us the car if we don’t pay for the insurance. And they don’t give us back the 100$ deposit, even though we called 3 times and each time they say either tomorrow, or today.

I was asked to pay a £1,500 deposit forcing me to pay excess cover. It ruined my holiday. They are holding my deposit of £400 for 28 days meaning I have no money for this month. I was crying my eyes out and was just ignored by staff.

Unlike most car rentals companies which use credit card per-authorisation for the deposit, GreenMotion actually deducts the money from your account. I have been waiting 30 days for my payment to be returned. They company say they return the deposit within 30 days but this is not included in the rental agreement of included in the term and conditions displayed when booking via booking.com. Keeping the deposit is very lucrative for the company.

“I had a very disappointing experience with Green Motion. I booked a car for two days, but they charged me for three. Additionally, when returning the car at their Luton location, the staff spoke to me in a very rude and unprofessional manner. I would not recommend this company.”

I have still not received back my security deposit of 1505£. Returned the car without any issues 39 days ago. I will soon report it to the police as it seems to be a scam.

I will not be using Green Motion car rental again. I pre-paid for my rental and was met with another large bill upon arrival before I could take the car. This was because, I was told, I went through a 3rd party . Hidden costs, which made it very expensive. The car was fine but, this is not fair behaviour, so I will never use them again.

Leider hatte ich Probleme mit der Abrechnung des Deposit. Ich hatte Premium gebucht, einen leichten Kratzer festgestellt und danach sehr schwierige und bis heute nicht gelöste Abrechnung des Deposits.

The location at “Heathrow” is not even close to the airport. You’re dependent on a shuttle that they don’t control to get you there. It was going to be a 1.5 hr wait so we had to pay for a cab to get there. Then they have outrageous administrative fees. I got a parking ticket that was not actually my fault and had to dispute it but just the act of forwarding it on to me, they charged me £68. They are the absolute worst and I would never recommend them.

They found scratches on the bonnet of the car, crazy how they went straight to them. Walked fast around the outside and straight to the scratches. H, almost as if they knew they were there. I'm guessing I not the only one to have paid to have them repaired. Oh well live and learn but highly recommend you use another rental car agency.

I have been a regular client but am now fighting for the return of my £1505 deposit after 4 weeks even though they have confirmed nothing was damaged and after a number of chasing emails. Don’t use this company if you want your deposit back!!!

Green Motion Edinburgh Airport tell me it takes 2 weeks to refund deposit after return of car. This has blocked use of my credit and I incur additional charges. Awful customer service................

Charged £475 for missing piece of small moulding on the underside of the bumper. Not a thing which is easily spotted on initial check over of the car so no photos to confirm it was missing on pick up. Most unsatisfactory customer service. Other customers at pick up and return were also in dispute over small issues. If seeking repeat business they have failed. Would never use again and would not recommend

J’ai louer un véhicule à Rabat jusque là tout c’est bien passer. A la restitution jusque là tout c’est bien dérouler et valider que je récupère ma caution. 8 jours après toujours pas de caution. Heureusement j’avais le numéro du gérant à qui j’ai rappeler que je n’ai pas eu ma caution et c’est à ce moment là qu’il a exécuter le remboursement et m’a envoyer la preuve par wathsapp! Dernière fois que je loue chez vous du moins à Rabat. Désoler de le dire et toujours fier d’être marocain 😉

Horrible. It's been a month and a half and they still haven't returned my excess deposit. They're charging me a fine I've never seen before. Book with AVIS or EUROPCAR. I repeat, they've kept the excess deposit, and I'm from Spain. I'm giving up. I wish you luck with this company.
