Green motion have billed me 60 pounds for a toll crossing notification, its a bit much, don't you think!

I only ever use my credit card for blocking on a car rental.. a few weeks after my rental finished, my card was tried to buy something in the Birmingham area. Could only have been a member of your staff. Luckily my bank noticed this & blocked my card. Will not use Greenmotion again..

N'y allez surtout pas!!! Le bureau de Zurich m'a totalement arnaqué en protestant un choc sur le capot (de 2,5mm) qu'ils m'ont facturé 2000 euros de réparation sans que je puisse faire quoi que ce soit alors que j'avais des photos prouvant qu'aucun choc n'a été fait. Prenez une assurance en amont !!

Edinburgh airport car hire..: Not a positive experience when dealing with them .. (the car was good) the Green Motion office is not with other hire cars it’s a bus trip away from airport. We previously booked online and paid money, We were then told that deposit that secured the booking of over €200 was facilitated by another company and was not refundable. On the car return, very hard to find the office as it is not in the normal area. When we eventually found it. It was very unclear cars were everywhere and disorganised we found a spot and were told to remove the car and park another spot which then blocked in at least nine cars. We were needing to catch a flight and in a hurry no help or assistance from them. No toilet either after a long journey. We were sent an email saying our car was dusty and should have been cleaned so we have to pay for that as well. Not worth the hassle

Edinburgh branch - Difficult to know where to begin. Surly and rude staff. Refused to take Amex or Mastercard debit. Ultimately refused to give me the car and are now not willing to refund me. Literally, the worse car rental experience in 40 years of renting cars.

We got charged £900+ for a chip in the windscreen which is an absolute rip off. If we'd got it repaired ourselves, they said we would have paid twice as they wouldn't have accepted the repair. Absolutely disgraceful when roads are in such poor condition, how can you avoid a flying pebble!

Car had warning lights on as soon as we picked it up. We told agent we were travelling outside Germany but he did not advise about the tolls in Austria which cost us a £300 fine! Now they are trying to charge me an admin fee for their time! Their customer service is a waste of time.

The agent at the airport kept asking how much I paid the UK agent for the daily rate and tried to pressure me into canceling my UK booking to rebook directly with them—clearly an attempt to cut out the overseas agent's commission/discount. They used highly unethical tactics, including refusing to honor the unlimited mileage I had already booked and paid for, even though my email confirmation clearly stated it. This kind of behavior is disgusting and completely unacceptable. I would never book with Green Motion again—whether directly or through an agent. Avoid them at all costs!

The car was a Christmas tree of warning lights form start to finish. We told the agent we would be travelling outside Germany, he thought to charge us the extra insurance but not to mention the tolls, which cost us £300 in fines!

Green Motion - Heathrow Airport - London: Three days before my arrival, I reserved a Seat Leon, Kia Ceed, VW Golf (5 doors, automatic) or a similar model, but upon arrival, I was given a significantly smaller vehicle—a Seat Ibiza. Despite my concerns, the staff initially insisted that this was the vehicle I had paid for. However, when I pressed further, they admitted that the car type I reserved was unavailable. This was not communicated to me in advance, and had I not raised the issue, I would not have been informed. Unfortunately, no suitable alternative vehicle was provided. I was traveling with my family and had two large suitcases, as we planned to go to Cambridge. The smaller car made our journey uncomfortable and inconvenient. The primary reason for booking a larger vehicle was to ensure a comfortable trip, but instead, my family and I had an unpleasant experience. As a result, my holiday was negatively impacted. This was one of the worst car rental experiences I have encountered, and I am extremely disappointed.

I would like to express my appreciation to Sandra Dias from Green Motion Portugal for her professionalism and patience in explaining the hidden payment related to full comprehensive insurance. Sandra took the time to clearly explain the details, making sure I understood the distinction between third-party insurance and full coverage. However, I must mention that the cost of insurance, especially when it’s not clearly communicated, feels unreasonable and burdensome for customers like myself. On January 31st, 2024, Sandra was the only staff member who provided a thorough and respectful explanation. Unfortunately, the behavior of her colleagues was disappointing and unprofessional. They showed a lack of respect towards my family member, who was also part of the booking process. They laughed, spoke loudly in Portuguese, and even threw a pen in front of us, creating an uncomfortable environment. Given this lack of courtesy and the hidden insurance charges, we ultimately decided to forfeit the booking fee and leave the office. The hidden costs associated with Green Motion seem misleading, and the overall experience left us feeling that the pricing structure is not fair to customers. I sincerely hope that Green Motion can address these issues, especially regarding staff training and transparency in pricing, to improve future customer experiences.

Just avoid them! Terrible experience with them at Glasgow Airport. They advertise cars that don’t actually exist on their site and then try to fob you off with an alternative! Wasted time and effort trying to get a resolution but to no avail. Pay a bit extra and hire from a reputable company.

If you bother to read reviews, which I will before renting from anyone besides the companies I normally use, please stay far far away from this company. Scammed for fake damage, had insurance I paid fpr balk at reimbursement, and then they *tried* to give me another fee for getting a parking ticket. Greasiest company Ive ever dealt with. Total f****ng scum. Do not use

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! and please make sure you avoid booking through 3rd party websites too. We went to Croatia last spring but booked this in Budapest, Hungary, so 18 months ago and got a parking ticket that we tried to pay the moment we realised it, but with the language barrier, we could not figure it out and we were running to the airport. I tried to pay for it numerous times online after from Hong Kong where we live with no functionally working links at all. The website was not working, so eventually I gave up. I read at the time online this is a common problem in Croatia. The fine was 13 euros. Just got a letter now from Green Motion that we owe 173 euros with a link for payment and threatening letter from a Croatian Lawyer they work with. Since I do not need more trouble in my life, I pressed the link and paid and realised after it is 40 euros over the orginal fine, because it adds other fees, admin, transaction, etc and now asking them where is my difference of 40 euros. Did not get that ack either, I am Hungarian and French and furious and can communiate with them in both languages. Please avoid them at all costs. Watch what you book through 3rd party sites too. I normally do not leave bad reviews but this is ridiculous and completely unfair and should be illegal or they should have this organised so people have a chance to pay their original fines. But all the fees plus another 40 euros on top. Unbelievable.

Terrible experience DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I am about to take legal action !! Lied about previous damage to wheel arch and are charging my £290.00 for a 2 cm scratch which I did not cause. You have been warned. Taking out legal action as a matter of principle because they lied!!

Don't rent here! Horrible service, lies about refund, and over charges for insurance. Also suck at showing up at the Lisbon Airport! They say the insurance I bought from my Discover Car contract was no good and then stiffed us with their over priced full coverage. Again, look elsewhere and save headaches and money.

We booked for an Economy Automatic transmission car at 18 December 2024 at Green Motion in Glasgow airport and when we arrived at company they told us they do not have any automatic transmission cars in our category and they force us to either take a mini bus/10 people carriers for free (which i could not drive due to huge size) or they were forcing us to pay £20 for upgrade to a mini SUV as it was only automatic available they had. They didn't even offered to wave the upgrade fee as it was their responsibility to have available automatic cars and they never contacted us in time the previous days to inform us about the lack of availability. They were rude and present the situation as Holiday Autos responsibility when we asked why the webpage was showing as available economy cars and they said the Holiday Autos webpage doesn't updated is 3rd party company's responsibility and they could not do anything else. So they force us to pay more for a car we did not need taking advantage it was Christmas day and nothing else would be available.

Never never rent a car from Green Motion especially Edgware Road Hilton London outlet, it's a scam company and accused you with some damage which not done by you. It's all planned and we tourists have been targeted. Horrible customer service and it's a con.
