Although the parts I recently purchased were a good price "after the major discount" I found it poor that when searching when another 40% discount was announced, the initial prices had been raised to reflect a so called deal.... Not the best of selling strategies...!

Very good service by the guy on the desk but the part was very overpriced and didn't contain a new o-ring or clip. Disappointed.

The wipers I purchased don't fit my car even though I put my registration in the search engine. I think they are missing a piece that links the wiper to the wiper arm GRRRRRRRR

I've noticed GSF parts prices are higher than many other motor factors I buy from. The weekend offers ... 35% or 40% discount ... simply brings the prices down to similar to other factors. Biggest influence on my purchase of motor parts is that I am looking for parts of exactly the same OEM quality as I would buy from motor manufacturers main agents. Fitting cheap low quality parts that either don't fit correctly , are a poor fit or are missing features / fittings on the original removed parts, or need that replacement again in a short space of time don't assist me at all. Examples, two headlamp units, (VW POLO 1.4 Match) one missing fitting for beam adjustment motor, other with insufficient adjustment to pass MOT test. Vehicle Battery, (VW T4) Old stock, Poor starting performance now at 18 mnths service. Suspension swivel joints (VW T4) perished rubber boots at 12 months service, joints failed MOT.

Placed an order for collection online but for some reason the 20% discount offered didn't apply to the final figure shown . I explained this to the staff member behind the counter who initially told me there was nothing he could do about it and that I could go home and place the order once again online. I explained I lived 40 miles away and this was not practical. Again he said there was nothing he could do. Thankfully another member of staff overheard the conversation and applied some common sense and instructed the staff member I was speaking to to apply 20% trade discount. I imagine that you would prefer that your staff took this approach rather than the disappointing way I was initially dealt with.

Hi, I have looked at your order, it appears that you did not enter the 20% discount code at the checkout. The discount is not added automatically, you need to enter the code into the promo code box at the checkout. I am glad the branch could solve the issue for you. Thanks Matt - GSF

I bought Charge Pressure Solenoid valve - commonly known as an N75 valve for a VW Tdi car. The part worked properly and cured the problem, but the pipe connections were a mirror image of the one on my car, so I had to reroute the vacuum lines and mount the valve in a different place on the bulkhead just to get it to fit. It should have been a straight swap but it turned into a bit of a hassle. Be aware if you buy one of these that it might be different to the one on your car and you need to check first.

The good staff are let down by an inadequate ordering system. Online orders can not be adjusted in store. Discounts are often lost and both customer and store staff complete thinking it's a crap set up.

Hi, Staff are able to amend orders in the store, however anything added to the order will not have the discount added to those lines. Discounted prices are generally lower than the branch are allowed to book the goods out at, this is why the website discounts are in place. If you need to add additional items to the order, we suggest placing another click and collect order for the required goods either prior to visiting the branch or while you are there. Thanks Matt.

Difficult to find specific parts online and very slow service in branch when collecting

Item ordered wasn't in stock, had to accept an inferior replacement. If I had known that it wasn't available I would have gone elsewhere.

The ordering process and discount offers are excellent. The Bosch S4 battery I ordered was delivered within the time stated. Only disappointment with the order was that the battery was dusty/dirty when delivered. Something I did not expect.

Apart from the computer glitches all went through nicely, it is just a shame you can't cancel an order when you make a mistake, the only way was to put another order on, but one item was then out of stock & it took some computer dexterity of the lady on the counter for me to get what I actually needed.

Brought some valeo front wiper blades, via click and collect. While adding the items to my basket I was prompted to use a discount voucher code, reducing the final price of my items,a unexpected bonus and very much appreciated.I usually use GSF instead of its main competitor as I can walk in store, collect my items without the need to bring a packed lunch and a thermos flask.

GSF parts are only worth buying when they have applied one of their money-off offers. Otherwise they are far more expensive than any of their competitors. If they came in line with other suppliers prices and terms I would use them more often. They are worth looking at when searching for parts as 1 time out of 10 they may prove to be the cheaper option.

I reserved 3 spark plugs of a spedific type via GSF web page but was given different spark plug when picking up the reserved goods. A second trip to GSF was required to exchange them for the right ones. The spark plugs are good but it would have been better to get the right ones the first time round.

Great price & products as usual. Service was very slow on the day, only one person serving with customers queuing out of the door yet plenty of staff laughing & chatting in the office next door. It was the first day back after x-mas I suppose but not really an excuse. Never had this before so hopefully a one off.

Confusing mail order system. I ordered parts and went to collect them at my nearest store only to be told they had bee on the Mail Order system and that was different to the Collect in Store system. They should have just one system and you should tick mail order or collect in store.

Hi, I am sorry to hear the system confused you. Our system should allow you to add all the parts to your basket, once you reach the checkout stage it will show two options, one for Home Delivery and one for Click and Collect. I can see you opted for the Collection and the order was invoiced in store. As long as you can give the store your order reference on arrival there should never be an issue collecting reserved goods. Thanks Matt - GSF Car Parts.
