I wouldn't say that I had a bad experience with this course as it was very informative, but the actual website is not very well designed, it was pretty buggy, and my workplace paid for course and were informed that it would take 10 hours to complete, but it actually took 20. I think the format of the course should either be a powerpoint presentation where you have to do regular assessments, which proceeds from page to page automatically (this would make the most sense as there is a slow voiceover which mandates the speed at which you can proceed with the course anyway - I would approximate this to be a third of the average reading speed). Or alternatively it could be more interactive, in which case there should be more questions and less slides, and the voiceover could be a feature that is optionally added to this course, but it would otherwise be fully manual. I have given it three stars because I have spent my entire weekend doing this course, and when I completed the same course with a different manufacturer it took me about 4 hours, I just think it is an unacceptable increase in time for the same experience, due to poor website design. Anyway customer service have been very friendly, and although they didn't/couldn't do anything to help, they were polite and courteous, and responded quickly to my email. Oh the last issue is that I have finally completed the course and it would let me automatically download my instant certificate. This is probably the most serious, but I think customer services will probably sort it out in the morning.

Hello, Thank you for your review and your feedback, we really appreciate it! I am pleased that you found the course informative however I’m sorry to hear that you felt the course was too long. The Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering course is a very in depth course and covers a lot of necessary topics in order to ensure that the learner has met the UK and EU legal requirements. The course can be spread out over several sessions, and doesn’t have to be completed in one go which may help in terms of the length of the course! There is also the option to increase the course speed within the course settings. I am really sorry to hear that you felt the website was buggy, we would really appreciate it if you could let us know what issues you had and we will ensure that our IT department look into these as soon as possible. I have also emailed you directly regarding your certificate so we can ensure this gets to you as soon as possible. I hope that the knowledge you gained will help you in the future and if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Many thanks! Nicola (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

Slow to load, a exercise with no fast forward option, I read fast so I didn't feel the need to waste time and wait for the pages to load.

Hello Calum, thank you for your review and feedback we really appreciate it! I'm sorry to hear that you felt the course was to slow for you, there is an option within your account to make the slides faster, to do this you would just need to press on the cog symbol in the bottom right side of the screen and then you will see an option to make the course faster, this may be worth keeping in mind if you are to take any more courses with us in the future. If there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Kind regards, Natasha (Customer Support, High Speed Training).

Nothing specifically wrong, but the delivery is unstimulating. I can't remember how long ago it was, or who first told me, but it's not good presentation style to have a text on PowerPoint and then read it word-for-word to the audience. Could future versions either trust the audience's ability to read, or use the slides for key words and phrases only as the narrator delivers the script? By the way, it's grammatically incorrect to say that one child have suffered abuse - whether that child is one in five, one in ten or even one in a million. One of the presentations made repeated use of phrases such as "one child in fourteen have been abused."

Hello Stephen, Thank you for your review and feedback, we appreciate it a lot. I am really sorry to hear that you found the course unstimulating. We have to offer both visual and audio learning to meet the needs of all our customers I'm afraid however we really value the opinions of our customers so I've passed your comments onto the appropriate team to see if there is something we can do for future users. Thank you again and we wish you all the best in the future.

Some of the questions in the assessment, in my opinion could signal multiple levels of abuse or warning signals, in real life practise, regardless of what is said in the text provided.

I have been told by a London Firefighter that the Class F fires are not a class of their own as they are still flammable liquids. As well, the modules appear much too slowly and could pop up faster.

Hello, thank you for your review and feedback! I have passed on your comments to our Content Department who write all of our courses and they have replied to me to say that they can understand what you mean by saying they are still a flammable liquid - chip and fat pan fires (class F) are often considered a sub-class of Class B (liquid) fires. But you should be aware that Class F does have its own symbol, which is displayed on wet chemical extinguishers for example, because you cannot fight them in the same way as you can typical liquid fires. So Class F is still important to consider. Regarding the modules being to slow, you do have the option to speed up the slides by pressing the cog symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I hope this helps, if there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to contact us directly! Kind regards, Natasha (Customer Support, High Speed Training).

As with every online training course I have done the pages were too slow to load, even when I chose the fastest setting. I could have completed this is in half the time.

Hi, I’m really sorry to hear you found the course didn't run as fast as you would like. The pace is set to make sure our candidates cover all the learning before the assessment, even if it’s a subject they are knowledgeable on. Our courses are continually updated and developed so there may be a change in a process or legislation that could be easily missed if the learning is rushed. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback and I will forward the idea the appropriate department. Thanks again and kind regards, Sarah (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

I do not feel as though this training is extensive enough. It is not thorough enough in its assessment. A lot of the questions are far too simple, and obvious, whilst others are vague. I cannot say that I would recommend this course.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on the Mental Health Awareness course you have recently completed. I am really sorry to hear you feel the course you signed up for wasn’t extensive enough. This training course has been designed as an introduction to mental health to raise an awareness of how important it is to the workplace. We want to improve our courses to suit all learners so thank you again for your feedback. I have passed it onto the relevant teams to see if there is anything we can do for future users. Kind Regards, Sarah (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

questions I believe should be worded better, when disturbed what is most likely to be airborn ? or something like that. If you drill or smash all dust is airborn whatever state or type it was, what I am trying to say it depends how its disturbed like pipe lagging could be brushed past and become airborn but spayed coatings would need more than a tickle to be disturbed thankyou

it wasn't a bad experience, I'm a fast reader and it was frustrating to be unable to speed up the course any more than allowed. Even the test was painfully slow to get through. An even faster button???

The course was fine, but the certificate is useless!!! It has no mention of CPD hours, thus not helping me reach the recommended 5 hours CPD in Cross infection control. Waste of time and money in that respect.

Hello, Thank you for your review! I am sorry to hear you felt the course was too slow. I am sure you can appreciate the responsibility we have as a training provider to ensure our users are taking the time to read and understand the information in front of them. I do however appreciate some people absorb information faster than others! There is a settings button within our courses and it does allow you to select your course speed to suit your preference, I hope that this will improve your experience if you purchase from us again! I hope that the knowledge you gained will help you in the future and if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Many thanks! I feel that this was to basic for me but that is more to do with my company putting me on the course at that level. Say that though the scrolling to the text was quite random and I would rather have all the information there rather than having to wait.

Not a bad experience, the courses could be so much better if: 1) the narrator sounded a little more enthusiastic 2) each slide came with a downloadable/printable text which could be referred back to in the future. I know you can log back on, but soooooooo much easier if it's written down!

Hello Joy, thank you for your review, and congratulations on completing your training! I will pass on your feedback to the relevant team to see if there is anything we can do to improve our future courses. Regarding being able to print out the slides, you are unable to do that unfortunately because each course is 100% online and interactive with moving images. Also, it contains confirmation exercises along the way that are designed to ensure that candidates have understood the information they learn as they progress through the course. If there is anything else we can help you with in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us directly! Kindest Regards, Natasha (Customer Support, High Speed Training).
