The behaviour management course states that it is for those in Early Years, however it is more geared towards schools and some of the activities are just not practical in a pre-school setting, not to mention the time they take.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I have had a chat with my colleagues in our Content Team, and they have said that the principles, strategies and techniques discussed throughout the course apply to children of all ages, from toddlers and school children to teenagers, therefore, the training applies to all types of professions. The course includes a series of activities for you to complete in order to help you relate the information given to your setting. At the end of the course, these activities can then be put together to create a context-specific plan for you to use. I am sorry to hear that the course hasn’t given you enough information to cover early years, and we are looking to see what we can do for future learners. Thank you again for your feedback, we really appreciate it! Kind regards, Lizzy (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

Hello, Thank you for your review and your feedback, we really appreciate it! I’m sorry to hear that you felt the course was too long. The Legionella and Legionnaires Disease course is a very in-depth course and covers a lot of necessary topics in order to ensure that the learner has met the UK Health and Safety legislation. The course can be spread out over several sessions, and doesn’t have to be completed in one go which may help in terms of the length of the course! If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. All the best! Nicola, (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

There are lots of photos showing people in production environment not wearing hairnets of PPE correctly. This does not set a good example during HACCP training. Also there is an error in one of the questions and answers. It suggests food colour is the correct answer when this has not been discussed until the next section.

Hello, thank you for your review and feedback! We really value the opinions of our customers so I've passed your comments on to the appropriate team and they are going to replace some of the pictures in the course with pictures that show better use of PPE. In regards to the question and answer about the food colour, I have looked into this and it is mentioned a few slides beforehand. If you do wish to review this, you can log back into your course at any time and select the module to review the course material! Thank you again for your valuable input, and if you have any queries about anything else, please don’t hesitate to get in touch! Kindest Regards, Kaz (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

The information is all valid and useful in giving a grounding in health and safety. I think that some of the questions make the answers far too obvious. Seeing as the whole point of Health and safety is to embed the knowledge in order to create a safe workplace, surely the tests have to be more demanding to ensure that participants have a depth of knowledge.

The content was presented in a very bland, plain-text way, with stock photos and somewhat monotonous voice reading. There were also large jumps in volume.

* Incorrect use of legal terminology. In the assessment multiple choice, it referred to a piece of "legislation" whereas the correct answer had the legal status of guidance. I had to work on the basis that the question might have been worded badly. I was right, it was. * Again in the assessment multiple choice, there was an example that suggested children were living in substandard accommodation and might have been seen in brothels. We were asked to pick from 4 options which included neglect, child sexual exploitation and human trafficking. I mean honestly....any of those could have been the correct answer. Not enough information was given and of course the one I picked was wrong as the odds were stacked against me. Most irritating of all was that the correct answer was never given so I have no idea what I was supposed to have picked. This question is multiple choice at its worst! * In module 2, the exercise concerning the categorisation of different types of abuse contained a similar issue where several examples of abuse could have been in a couple of different categories. It's impossible to know which one you've done wrong and you can't move on in the module until you get it right. Too many different combinations to check, you doubt yourself and second guess everything. Also not made clear in question that all types of abuse fall into one of the categories - I wondered if I was supposed to have left out a couple of the Faking an illness was the one I struggled to categorise - it is only physical abuse if a medic acts on the parent's claims and conducts an unnecessary medical procedure. It is just as likely to be emotional abuse or domestic abuse (using a position of dominance to make a child believe s(h)e is unwell). I suggest that you make it possible to see which answers you consider incorrect.

Hello, thank you for your review! I am sorry to hear that you found the course too slow. There is an option in the settings to switch it to a faster mode, however, we still do need to ensure that our learners of taken in all the information. I will pass on your comments to the relevant teams, as we do really appreciate feedback from all of our customers! Best wishes, Kaz (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

The L2 food hygiene online training material is fine - it's clear, comprehensive and well-presented (although perhaps a bit repetitive in places). But the assessment? Bizarrely easy, far too easy, considering how important the subject matter is. And too short. Most people could have passed it without reading through any of the modules. It doesn't seem a very rigorous test of a would-be food-handler's knowledge and understanding. No real test of what to do in potentially difficult situations, where some thoughtful judgement is needed. How basic must L1 be?!

Hello Don, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are currently working on a new version of our Level 2 Food Hygiene course, so I will pass on your feedback to our Content Team to see if we can change the assessment section of the course. It is brilliant though to hear that you found the content well presented and comprehensive! Thank you again for leaving your feedback, it is really appreciated by us all here at High Speed Training. It is not great to have one page informing you that nails should be kept short and be free from nail varnish, and then have pictures later in the course of a lady with very long nails that have been beautifully painted in a French manicure style! Not good!!

why would I as a classroom teacher need to know about educations acts - it caused me to fail the test when I knew everything PLUS when you get an answer wrong , why doesn't it tell you the correct answer with reasons if required. You would learn more efficiently Way too long

It was presented in a tedious manner - much of it so obvious that the mind skipped over the less obvious. Some of the words did not correspond with the diagrams eg: The acronym TILE had a diagram LITE

Hello, thank you for your review and feedback! Regarding the modules being to slow, you do have the option to speed up the course, to do this you would just have to press the cog symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you then have the option to set the slides faster. I hope this helps, if there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to contact us directly! Kind regards, Natasha (Customer Support, High Speed Training).

I can see this could be a valuable training for inexperienced care workers or medical staff but for highly qualified professionals it is oversimplified and redundant. Some of the "correct" answers are debatable or wrong: for example if a vulnerable, older person starts suddenly losing weight etc. it does not necessarily indicate neglect. It could result from onset of dementia or anxiety. For therapists working with individuals in private practice and not in institutions, the course is oversimplified and irrelevant. This is partly because an experienced therapist is already versed in safeguarding issues at a much more professional level so making this course a requirement is like requiring a G.P. get a certificate in First Aid. Furthermore because psychoanalytical therapy does not take the clients communications as simple fact, and is based on an undertaking not to intervene in the client's everyday life, applying safeguarding procedures would raise massive ethical conflicts. For example if the client describes being victimised where the therapist's task is to help the client be less masochistic, reporting the victimisation as an established fact to outside agencies would risk colluding with the client and making their problems worse.

Hello John, Thank you for your review. Our Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults course written at an introductory level, and no pre-requisite knowledge is needed to do the course. With this in mind, I appreciate that the course would not be appropriate for someone with experience and a high level of knowledge. We do really appreciate your feedback, so I have passed this onto our Content Team to see if we can include this in our higher level courses. Thank you again for your review, and if you have any further feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0333 006 7000 or email to ‘support@highspeedtraining.co.uk’. All the best, Lizzy (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

Once again I needed help to get started. Having paid, it would be nice to simply get the start button. I was told that improvements are due to be made, but I had the exact same problem in May with a previous course. I've also been informed that a course, for which I have a certificate, has not been completed. Something has obviously gone wrong with your recording systems and I hope this gets resolved urgently. Altogether not a satisfactory customer experience.

Hi Lynda, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It was lovely speaking with you today; I have had a chat with our developers to get an update on the work we are doing to improve the system. We are hoping that the changes will be made in the next few weeks, but I appreciate how frustrating it is when you couldn't get onto your training. In the meantime, if you could send me a picture of your certificate so I can get to the bottom of this! Thanks again Lynda for your review and I hope to hear from you soon.
