High prices except when on sale. Website ordering is a joke,, they advertise free shipping in their banner,, then later in small print it tells you it is actually free only with $59 purchase. Website is hard to navigate. I used to stop by every week,, but since stopping their 40% coupons, I rarely go there, instead use Michael's or other online stores.

Every time I pick out a project using Honey Bee yarn you discontinue it in the middle of my project. Very aggravating.

You would think that Hobby Lobby would get with the program and install bar code scanners. I feel so bad for the employees having to try and remember what’s on sale each week and having to group items trying to make ringing up items easier. It never fails that I get overcharged for sale items every EVERY time I shop there. Now that you’ve gotten rid of coupons and insist on the dinosaur cashier ways I’m taking my business elsewhere. Care more about your employees and customers for a change!

I have been a florist for 25 years and I am in possession of a TAX ID number issued by the state of Indiana. I picked up a satin wedding pillow and was told that the document could not be used and that it was necessary to fill out one of theirs...fine, it was the same document I've filled out many times before in many different retail stores. I agreed to fill one out expecting to return for other items in the future but was told I was not allowed to fill out theirs and I had to come up with one of my own!!! REALLY??? These are the documents retail stores give to tax exempt customers to obtain a card for future use. They acted as though these 'copies' cost them money! Despite my tax exempt status, I was charged the sales tax. I will NOT be returning to do future business.

Very expensive. Long lines. Employees can't answer questions. Got rid of 40 percent coupon. Back to Michael's.

Items are great, customer service not so great! Saw a shelf that had broken part and asked if I could get a discount, the lady said no cause they can just fix it there themselves but then never even offered to have it fixed and made me pay full price for a broken item.

Cashier rang up an item and said is that it? As I was still unloading the cart, I let that go. I bought 3 clocks, a mirror, and home decor. She did not wrap any of the items!! She had the packing paper right there on the counter. I also had to ask her to put items in a bag! She was too busy chatting with 2 other cashiers and ready to go. There was also a woman and her adult son behind me in line- with no masks on in Minnesota! No more coupons emailed to me is also disappointing.

Hard bummer that Hobby Lobby no longer does the weekly 40% off coupon. That was the main reason I always chose Hobby Lobby over the other craft stores.

Hobby lobby states that they took their 40% coupon away so that they can have prices on other items be more reasonable but the past two times i have been there the items i have wanted to purchase were not on sale and were full price with no discounts. I looked on amazon and can get those same items for at least $7 cheaper, and that adds up when you are wanting several of that item. I unfortunatley walked out both times without purchasing anything and i guess im going to have to shop at amazon now for my craft supplies because without some sort of coupon or discount the prices are just way too high compared to many online websites. The discounts at least make it seem a little more reasonably priced and i can justify that kind of spending in my mind. I love hobby lobby and used to go there all the time but i just cant see doing it when the prices are significantly higher than i would have to pay to shop elsewhere...plus have it shipped to my house for free. It is really disappointing.

This is only for the S Lamar, Austin, TX location. I first called to ask if they had a certain size of a sketchbook I had bought in a smaller size before. The woman in the art department on the phone was so abrupt and clearly showed that she had no interest in helping me. I asked if they had the size they usually have and she said no, and that's all. I could tell she was lying, so I went to the store and found what I was looking for, no thanks to her. After finding what I wanted, I needed help in finding something else that I thought the framing department would be able to assist me with. I walked past the door where the employee was working in the back. I stood at the counter waiting, until I realized he wasn't going to come out and help me. So I went over and asked him for help. He huffed, like actually huffed, and said, "no, we don't have that." And I asked if he had anything similar or something he thought might work as well, and said, "nope." It's hobby lobby, of course you have SOMETHING. Anyway, I was frustrated with the two laziest employees at Hobby Lobby today because usually I love that place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is for that reason, and also because of the nice cashier woman at the front. P.S. I'm not a Karen, nor one in the making. I'm a Gen Z artist who loves happy people and colorful things. It's just frustrating when grumpy people make something that could be so simple, difficult.

The wedding invitation templates are not user friendly. Even with selecting the correct invitation, the print did not line up like it was supposed to. The rsvp’s were worse. Ending up winging it. Took way too much time.

December 22, 2020. My experience at Hobby Lobby in Gastonia, NC was not a very pleasant one. The discount signs they have placed in different areas of the store can be misleading at times. When I attempted to question the cashier about a particular item that I thought was on sale, she brushed me off as if I didn't matter. So, I spoke with an associate at the door and she explained to me about the discount signs. Signs are randomly placed throughout the store. This does not mean where they are placed, those items are on sale. You really must read the fine print. I accepted her explanation and thanked her. She responded by saying, "Have a good day hon." Emphasis was put on the word hon and spoken in a sarcastic manner. This was an unnecessary and unprofessional way to address a customer! I had not been rude to her and expected the same treatment. As a consumer, I have a right to ask a question about discount advertisements. I will not be returning to Hobby Lobby in Gastonia. Instead, I will shop at Michaels. They have great sales and respectful employees.

Customer service was ruined by cashier, Aliyah C. She never acknowledged my presence. No greeting, no thank u. However, the person behind me got the customer service that I expected. She was not a minority. Overland park store, kansas, 119th metcalf

I am currently standing in line at store #73 where I have in line for almost 20 minutes.. There were only 2 check out persons available.. Of course there were lots of employees milling around restocking their showcases.. This is my last time at this particular location.

I am a professional artist. Recently purchased several tubes of Master Touch oil paints. Mostly air and oil came out when tube opened. While using it was extremely oily. The paintings have taken a month or longer to dry. There was not much paint in the tubes, filled mostly with air and oil. Never buy them again. Extremely dissatisfied.

Love the store, but over the years I have had horrible experiences with the managers, the most recent was today at the Janesville location, I had a complaint about people not wearing masks at this horrible time in Wisconsin, he was disinterested, spoke rudely and monotone and didn’t even respond in a professional manner, being a Christian based store, I feel you need not only professional managers , but one that listens to concerns of his customers, he seemed actually his was upset I spoke about health concerns, I had another experience with a very rude woman manager couple of years ago , it was a horrible experience. I was with family and she knew I was upset about her demeanor. This experience was also very unprofessional. He was older with gray hair and I am not happy to go back in to that store. Please find good managers that have a good moral heart and get rid of the ones that are just there for the money!!! He should be blessed he still has a job, please address this ASAP, will for sure tell others of his unprofessional behavior.

Stood back at the fabric table waiting for help. Manager Chuck stood About 10 feet from me, taking inventory it appeared, and totally ignored me. I had actually ring the bell. When someone finally came, they seemed annoyed that they had to help me. Par for the course at the Emporia, Kansas store.

I genuinely like shopping there, but the last time I went in the lines for checkout were way too long. I purchased 2 plastic 24x36 frames, well it’s taken me 2 days to put my posters in them as the actual black frame doesn’t line back up when I got my poster in. I’m having to use superglue to TRY to get the corners lined up. I didn’t try to return, but I can certainly give you the code on the back of the frame.
