Ordered and paid for sofa 4th May delivery date 24th June gave my old sofas to charity.decorated new curtains etc rang today with et delivery time to be told my order cancelled by them.nobody told me a thing so upset disappointed can't believe poor customer service just told don't sell furniture any more disgraceful I now have no furniture

I am so upset, it seems like many others here. I ordered a new sofa, chair and footstall. I was given a delivery date of this wednesday. We got rid of our old sofa this morning. I then recieve a text message this afternoon (while we were out enjoying fathers day) saying you could not meet the delivery date. I called back and have now been informed that my sofa will not be delivered until 20th august. I am so upset, we have spent a lot of money and time redecorating to match the new sofas and now we will have to sit on a cold floor for another two months, really it is not ideal when you have a newborn and a toddler. I am supposed to be enjoying maternity leave not getting stressed out and out of pocket. I work in merchandising. You will have known if my sofa was in a container on a ship weeks ago; 1) please explain why i have only been informed of a delay 3 days before? 2)please confirm i will eventually recieve my furniture on 20th august? 3) please confirm what compensation you will be giving in light of the dismal service we have recieved?

What a useless shop the Bodmin branch is, staffed by indifferent people and stocked with shoddy items that would be classed as second - hand anywhere else. I am doing up my office and wanted some Conti board and some Fablon. The stock of Fablon was all in rolls bent and bashed and un-useable and the Conti board is all chipped , warped and knocked about and NOBODY IN THE SHOP GIVES A ****. They deserve to fail!!!

Ordered a wardrobe paid £300 for it to fall apart,then sent me wrong parts n mirrored doors that were smashed twice

Just tried to buy things with home base vouchers we received from our recent wedding and were told we couldn't spend Homebase vouchers with them as they had been bought out and would have to speak to Argos- DESPITE the fact that these were HOMEBASE vouchers!!!!! Shame on Homebase

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I wasn't even given any notification that my order was cancelled, I happened to notice that the money had returned to my account by chance. Shocking customer service. I had confirmation of my order along with confirmation of a delivery date, after which I went a spent hundreds of pounds in the same store on marching furniture, only to surmise that I wouldn't be revieving said sofa's. I will be seeking a full refund on all my purchases from hombase and will never ever shop there again. Appalling treatment of customers.

I have very bad experience one of the bedside table was broken it took 3 months to replace it . Also very bad management . We had bought two bed side table one of them fine it took me more than hour to assemble it . When they delivered replacement I wasn't home they send two bedside table and they took my good one . Now I have two box of bedside table I can't assemble it , I told them to send some one to assemble it or have my assemble good one back . They refused it!

I ordered two sofas in the flash sale in April to be told yesterday by text my order had been cancelled!! After 4 weeks of them having my money and being told yes you will get your order. On this basis I got rid of one of my old sofas have it someone who had been flooded and was in need. To be told it's not homebase a problem no they can't offer an alternative and that's that. Absolutely appalled by the way I have been treated will never ever use this company again and will make sure I let other people know not to bother!!

Our bathroom was delivered a month late, delivered in a terrible condition with a van with flat tyres and strewn all over van. Items damaged and broken, fitters ran two week over due to Homebase delays. When we even went into our local Walton on Thames Store to take back a shower rail which had been sold to us wrongly, we picked up three replacement with broken parts in that had been returned and put back on shelf without being checked. I would advise anybody not to buy a bathroom from Homebase

new staff poor, angry old guy asked me to leave based upon the fact that I was in there for an hour and didnt put a drill in the right place to put it back.. asked me to leave store. guy has had it in for me ever since I returned some wallpaper. complaint to customer service says they have the right to do this if needed.and was told they would get back to me, they didn't and wont. Inverness store has gone downhill. inopinion thuggish people shouldnt be aloud to do rhis.. also customer loyalty isnt obviously relevant to them.

Recently I have had delivery of a large and expensive item from you which does not work correctly. You will not reply to the numerous emails I have sent and there is no possibility of anyone in customer services answering the phone. How frustrating ????

So tried to order online was told twice payment failed. So checked statement 2 payments taken. Thought maybe I would get an order confirmation. Nope. Called and was on hold 48 mins to be cut off. Emailed no response and currently sat on hold again. New "customer" and will not be shopping from here again. Would love to actually speak to someone and either get my order or a refund

Bought a kitchen and same as the other complainers I had a nightmare with their delivery, design and all . I was promised a delivery date which they kept changing and delivered half the order because someone at the head office made a cock up and forgot the book the delivery of the second part of the order. After 20 phone calls and visits to the branch They cancelled the order . At the end I had to hire a van and man pay for the return of the units to the branch No apologies, no compensation nothing. Do not buy anything from HomeBase. I am taking them to court for damages

Do not use the service is appalling, we had Homebase to refit our bathroom and ensuite and I wish I had never walked into the store, from the time the items "thrown" into the garage the week before installation by their delivery drivers, we had the misfortune of having R&B bathrooms of Cancock as their chosen approved fitters, be aware be very aware of this company, their workmanship is absolutely rubbish they damaged a shower tray that didn't need to be touched, their first attempt at fitting the bathroom resulting ripping it all out and starting again, the tiles in the ensuite slope down, the storm wall that they fitted in the shower enclosure is not level, and the waste pipes now slope up hill so water is very slow at running away. Don't think the area manager will help either they defend the installers all the way, our area manager even said you don't need to be qualified to fit bathrooms. If you do use this service refuse to have R&B bathrooms fit the rooms

I am about to pursue Homebase through the Ombudsman as they have failed to deliver approx. 15 percent of my kitchen. The missing items were not discovered until the fitters tried to put the kitchen together.....we had to go elsewhere to buy things as I had only hired fitters for three days. when I submitted a report to Homebase regarding lost and damaged items, they have rejected my claims by saying their warehouse say they had delivered. I have 6 doors missing, a drawer unit and various hinges. I am devastated and so upset that I have paid 4,000 for my kitchen which is now full of gaps and Homebase shrugging their shoulders saying they are not going to resolve my issues.

A week ago I ordered two wall mirrors to be picked up at the Botley store. I got them home, and ONE of them was completely smashed, so I called customer service a couple of times and received the news that I was in a queue for at least 30 minutes, so I sent an email to them describing the problem. A couple of days later someone called me to arrange the delivery to my home of a replacement mirror. It has just arrived and is in the SAME CONDITION AS THE FIRST!!!! I called to complain and was glibly told that you can't trust ANY courier company, I can't believe it- I was angry on the phone, but was not rude in any way and was told to calm down as I would have a heart attack- does no-one take their job seriously anymore, or do they just not give a damn??? I have been assured that a refund will be given- I suppose that this will be the next drama with it all!!

Don't buy a kitchen from them! I bought a Schreiber kitchen for a place in France> I checked that everything was there before transporting it only to find that the Fridge freezer was not compatible with the unit provided, and that the NEFF oven was from the 'old' range and the microwave was the 'new' range and therefore did not match. Because As I didn't spot this within the 7 day checking period it was apparently my problem! I have had to buy a new oven (not from Homebase!) and pay a carpenter to custom build a unit to fit the fridge/freezer. What a joke!

Steer well clear of Homebase bathrooms. We had their "best fitter" - useless - thought we were buying Schreiber - it wasn't - in fact it was also rubbish - never got a basin, 106 post-its and photos of bad fitting, 10 months of mis-management or total lack of it - never any replies from MD office - eventually got money back from credit card and had much better job and quality buying Calypso furniture and sanitary ware from local plumbers' merchant and good local plumber/installer to fit at £1000 less than Homebase, with hardly any mess, and workmen who asked what we wanted rather than just bodging it all in

Placed an order online over a week ago to pick up in store on my chosen date, went to pick up my order, surprise surprise! My order had not been delivered to the store yet and would be another couple of days, was told that it's yodels fault.. surely it's Homebase who are at fault for not ensuring that my order was ready for me to pick up not yodel. Homebase are the ones that I placed my order with and have taken my payment. Think they need to sort out the way orders get delivered and keep customers informed when there are issues with deliveries, not just blame the company that they use, also think they should look into using a different company to make sure that items ordered are delivered on time. VERY unhappy customer.....

same story as previous complainers. Ordered dining room table was told delivery would be on Friday 5th Feb between 12.30 and 14.30. Guess what? Not delivered. Phoned and was told delivery problems today! Finally arrived at 16.20 but no bolts to fix table legs to top. Phoned again told couldn't have bolts till Monday. Waiting for Manager to call but I don't hold out much hope.
