I hired Home Depot for a kitchen remodeling back in August, 2022. It consisted of a new countertop, wall backsplash and new flooring. The materials I picked out just needed to be delivered to my home. To save myself a delivery charge I decided to pick it up myself. So, while talking with the Home Depot manager. He decided to do a very thoughtful thing for me. And told me he would waiver the shipping cost. I found out while viewing my invoice I was still charged for shipping. I questioned them again about this. And they again assured me the shipping charge would be removed. It never happened. In the meantime, when my materials were delivered to my home. They dropped off 10 cases of ceramic tile that was sent by mistake. I told this to the delivery driver. And asked him to return it back to Home Depot. He said I needed to call Home Depot so to make arrangements to pick up the materials. Later I'm told I would be charged for them picking these 10 cases. I explained to the manager why I should be charged for a mistake Home Depot made. I got now where with them. It's like they just ignored me.

I purchased a bundle drill set on Cyber Monday only to receive just the drill bits. Customer service said to dispute the charge, how can I when I received partial item? Nice scam the packagers have on stealing the items and sending the less expensive part of the bundle.

The worse company to do business with. I had all my house windows replaced. 2 of the bow windows they installed were dropping forward (so) home depo came out and replaced both bay windows. 2 years later the same 2 bay windows are dropping forward due to improper installation now the windows are not shutting again, and they are uneven and hard to lock anymore due to the top window frame pulling back out. I was warned about their warranty service it is bad really bad. they do not want to warranty anything. I been getting the run around for months now I have to have a lawyer step in. take my advice go anywhere but home depo for any windows or doors or siding etc. it's not worth the aggravation .

Purchasing an appliance from Home Depot has been the worst experience and I will never do it again. From start to finish, there were multiple steps of incompetency. First I tried to purchase a refrigerator online for delivery to Honolulu, Hawaii. I ordered the GE refrigerator in October for delivery in Nov. Delivery date set for Nov. 12. My new tenant is moving in on Dec. 1. Perfect I thought. The day before delivery, I receive an email stating the the delivery is delayed until Dec. 19. What!!?? Apparently, according to the sales person in appliances in Honolulu, GE appliances are always late/back ordered. Why set a delivery date online if you can't deliver on time? Since I have a tenant moving in on Dec. 1, I had to fly into Honolulu from the mainland to purchase a refrigerator on site to ensure delivery before the end of Nov. So I fly into Honolulu and go to the Home Depot in Honolulu. Susan in appliances helps me to purchase a refrigerator. She was very helpful. Delivery was set for Nov. 23. Perfect, it will arrive before the tenant moves in. When the delivery guys from Island movers show up, they notify me that the forklift has damaged the bottom of the box and the refrigerator is damaged. So they can't deliver the item. Darn! So I call home depot to explain what had happened and schedule another delivery date ASAP. I spoke with Jennifer, the manager in charge of issues in the appliance department. I explained what had happened and that I was in a pickle because of the damaged refrigerator and my deadline with the tenant. In addition, I was flying out on Friday Nov. 25. Jennifer was so rude and condescending telling me that none of what had happened was their fault and that I should just accept it. So we set another delivery date, Mon. Nov. 28. I had to find someone to take the delivery because I had already returned to the mainland. Then I get an email from Home Depot saying that the delivery has again been rescheduled. When i called Home Depot to find out what had happened, they said the Island movers delivery truck had broken down and everyone's delivery for that day was rescheduled. Ok, so sometimes trucks break down, understandable. When I call Island Movers to find out what had happened, they said that their truck did not break down, but when the delivery truck arrived at Home Depot on Monday, all of the appliances that were scheduled for delivery were blocked and the delivery guys could not load the items onto the truck. So in essence, Home Depot had lied to me about their truck breaking down. How unprofessional! So I called Home Depot back to reschedule the delivery. They say Dec. 1 (the day the tenant moves in). I contact Memo in Will Call/delivery to ensure that my refrigerator will not be blocked and will be accessible for the delivery drivers. He ensures me that they solved the issue by placing the items for delivery in another area of the warehouse, which is accessible for the delivery guys. This experience has given me high blood pressure and ulcers. The level of incompetence at multiple stages was incomprehensible and I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of purchasing appliances from Home Depot. This team needs to be retrained.

Do not buy anything from home depot that you need delivered. They use a 3rd party for deliveries and they have no way to contact the drivers. Was suppose to receive my washer and dryer between noon and 4. Didn't show. Called home depot and they said they have no way to contact drivers but heard they were having truck trouble. Received new email confirmation that delivery was updated to between 5:30 and 10. Called home depot and was told they don't deliver after seven and if I didn't get my delivery I would have to wait til the next delivery opening in 2 weeks! Nothing they could do about it because they use a 3rd party. Already waited 2 weeks to get on the schedule in the first place, now I have to wait 2 more weeks because they screwed up? So not acceptable and they don't care. Don't buy from home depot. #homedepotisawful.

If you plan on ordering scheduled delivery of more than 5 items - GOTO LOWES. It was a nightmare. First, they erased my order - and it took literally 2 hours on the phone to get it back; then when they delivered 1/2 of it was not there and it took hours being transferred time and time again. Finally, after all is said and done some items never came. However, I gave up and just went to Lowes to get what they did not deliver. Absolute nightmare experience.

Unbelievable! Ordered two roof shovels online. Paid for two roof shovels online. One shovel shows up 6 days later in a box marked "Qty. 2." $15 per hour minimum wage in Commifornia and they can't even count to two. Called customer service. Couldn't understand a word she said. My voice is still hoarse from yelling " What!" Send me my shovel. No. We'll give you a refund and you can re-order it. Now, I'm a reasonable man, quite handsome too. But this is absolute B.S. Time sensitive task, and no support from the ones at fault. Should've went to Northern Tool. Be safe, God Bless.

the customer service in Home Depot was horrible, too bad beyond description. i went to shopping, the passing Saturday, in their Kingsbridge Store in Houston, Texas. i asked for a help and waited there for more than an hour. i didn't get it, yet, saw a lot of their employee lingering around doing nothing. one guy serving different section even entered an argument of my waiting time. plus, the air was stagnant, hot. it was a bad experience.

When home depot first opened you could not walk down a isle without someone asking if you need help. Now after they put all the small hardware stores out of business you can not find help. I waited 30 min for someone to unlock the cage for the power tool so I could by $500 worth of tools after I asked for help and nobody showed up. Its cheaper to buy the same tools from amazon. 30% cheaper. Time is money and you loose money going to Home depot. I will pay more if i need something right away somewhere else so i will not loose so much time there.

CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS NOTHING! DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORD! I have had the worst experience with Home Depot's customer service. I bought a dishwasher online and paid to have it installed by Home Depot. The dishwasher was installed incorrectly and had been leaking, unbeknownst to us, for a year! Black mold was in walls, behind cabinets, under our hardwood floors... We were told by the restoration team that our house was unsafe to live in and to leave that day. A sign, "DANGER! MICROBIAL HAZARD! KEEP OUT! AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY! RESPIRATORS AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ARE REQUIRED IN THIS AREA!" was posted at our home. That same day I contacted Home Depot. Home Depot referred me to a company called Temco, who they said installed it. It was proven that the dishwasher was installed incorrectly. At first the insurance company said they were looking into it. Then I was told they had no mold coverage! We did not live in our home for 9 months! I begged for help. The insurance companies would not pay for the damage they caused! They jerked my family around and are still jerking us around! It is now 5 years later. We filed a lawsuit, and at mediation (2 days ago- November 8, 2022) a lawyer, Michael Romeo, stood on behalf of Home Depot and Temco. BRIANO, et al. v. HOME DEPOT, U.S.A., et al. ADRS Case No. 22-5458-BAB Again, we were still being given the runaround. Our expenses have not been paid! Home Depot DOES NOT take care of their customers! Is Home Depot's Corporate office aware of what is happening to their customers? Have you (HOME DEPOT) been in contact with the lawyer, Michael Romeo, who is representing Home Depot and Temco? CUSTOMERS...GO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN HOME DEPOT FOR BUSINESS AND YOUR SANITY! Unsatisfied Customer, Dolores Briano

If only I could give a zero rating If only I could give a zero rating. You are truly better off with Best Buy or some other companies that have their customers' best interest at heart. Sometime in October, 2022 I made a purchase of over $8,000 worth of items and one of those is a dishwasher. On their initial delivery, the dishwasher was really messed up that they had to returned it for a new one. Forward 10 days later they brought and installed the new on but refused to take the old one with them even though I paid for that extra service (even the service from the delivery & installation guys was really bad too). I called Home Depot and was told that I didn't purchase for that extra service for them to take the old dish washer with. I was literally going back and forth with the sales person telling her that I purchased the service and that someone must have dropped the ball and forgot to include in my purchase. I asked if there was someone else to speak with to which she said there is nothing that could be done except transfer me to the store that I purchased the appliances; then perhaps they may (not guaranteed) send someone to pick it up; mind you I spend all that money the least she could have said was that someone must have forgotten to charge me or what have you for the service and that they will try to do it right. NOPE! I wish I could return everything I purchase but they don't accept returns. I just will NEVER EVER buy from Home Depot again. The only thing they care about is your money!!! Even the guys that delivered my purchase were rather unfriendly!! Date of experience: November 09, 2022

Purchased a new Bosch dishwasher on 10/25 online. Was supposed to be delivered on 11/2/2022. This company states they tried to deliver and call me. However my exterior security cameras show no one coming to my home, or even in my driveway except my cars. I also didn’t miss any calls. Called Home Depot customer service on Friday 11/4 and the customer service agent rescheduled for today, Monday 11/7 again no call, no show. This time called HD to get left on hold for 58 minutes. Then hung up on. Called back and waited 32 minutes for a supervisor to tell me it’s to late to get a hold of anyone at the delivery service but she could reschedule me (again) for 11/17 10 more days…… I stated that wasn’t acceptable and I wanted it delivered this week. She (Connie) got snappy with me and said she can refund my order if the 17th isn’t good enough…… HD has totally gone rock bottom when it comes to service and this delivery company they send orders to has nearly 5,000 reviews at an average of 1.5 out of 5 stars. Might be time for HD to wake the F up and start acting like they care about the customer. I’m done with this company.

If zero stars were listed that would be my choice. I purchased a refrigerator which on delivery had minor damage and since it was new it was unacceptable to keep. My old existing fridge had been removed as ‘haul away’ and virtually destroyed in the process so the delivery team left the new purchase behind with instructions for exchange. I wanted to change brands so I went into the store made the exchange. I THOUGHT! Since I changed brands it was considered a new purchase which required payment. Now home depot has $4700plus of my cash. 3 wks later no fridge, no refund just the replacement that has a non working water line. A store visit generated a refund on paper only. Bank error or store holdup??? The worse part of this mess is that new fridge delivery and haul away are not simultaneous. Finally, a store employee hung up on me when I forcefully said I would not be w/o a refrigerator. No apology, no consideration. I’m not asking for anything except for the people to do their job. This has no ending yet but it does have a resolution. Home Depot needs to step up.

Purchased an expensive Samsung dishwasher online, including installation service. It was delivered, but the installer said we needed to have a shut-off valve installed, and Home Depot would connect us with a plumber. We left the appliance in its sealed packaging while awaiting their plumber. The plumber came 4 days later and installed the valve, then opened the dishwasher package. The dishwasher was damaged (large dent in door). When I called Home Depot back, they said their policy was any damage must be reported within 48 hours. I escalated but supervisor would not relent and denied my claim. I strongly recommend you DO NOT purchase appliances from Home Depot.

At the west lansing Michigan Home Depot I spent an hour creating an estimate for countertops and full wall back splash with the kitchen designer. I was happy with the estimate and paid for the order. After the installation service came out to do the template I was told that I would have to pay another 30%. When I went through where the overage came from with the installer I showed him where in writing those items were in the original estimate. They told me I wasn’t charged for those items even though the designer put all the components in writing and assured me they were included in the cost. When I talked with Home Depot and showed them the estimate in writing they said oops and would not take any accountability for their mistake. I cancelled the whole order and told them i would never do business with them. They said ok and to have a nice day.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my parents. A few weeks ago, my parents’ washing machine broke and my mother decided to upgrade both the washer and dryer, so she ordered the LG Washtower to be delivered this past Saturday 10/22/22. She received a call on Friday night as expected, and was informed the delivery window for the washtower would be sometime between 12:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon. In order to make space and comply with Home Depot’s guidelines for delivery and installation, my father and I removed the old washer and dryer ourselves, taking out a window and removing the laundry room/bathroom door from its hinges to eliminate any potential obstructions in preparation for the next day. My parents waited all afternoon for the Washtower to be delivered, but when no one had shown up with the delivery by 5:00 on Saturday, my mother contacted the customer service line. She waited on hold for the better part of an hour before she was told that they had no explanation as to why my parents’ delivery hadn’t occurred, but that they could reschedule for Monday. Both of my parents work full time, which was why my mother made sure she could schedule their delivery on a weekend. She was advised that Home Depot doesn’t make deliveries on Sundays, so she would need to wait until the following weekend. At this point, my parents had removed both the broken washing machine and the working dryer, as well as a window and a door, and made one of the bathrooms in their home unusable. They live in a rural area ~30 mins from civilization, so to speak, so they don’t have access to a laundromat or dry cleaner. After my mother hung up with customer service, she checked the tracking number for her delivery again and in the time since she ended the call with Home Depot, someone had updated the tracking status to state that they had attempted the delivery, but no one was available to receive it. My parents cancelled their entire day to wait for this delivery, and they have cameras out front monitoring the driveway. No deliveries were attempted. A delivery truck didn’t even drive down the road that day. My mother called back, very upset, and was told by customer service that they have no idea why the tracking status was changed and they can’t get ahold of anyone from the delivery department in order to ask them. Since HD doesn’t allow returns, the best they could tell my mother was that AFTER the delivery does occur, they can credit her $150. They said in the meantime, they would pass the information regarding her failed delivery onto a man named Frank, who was described only as the “General Manager”. Customer service stated Frank would contact my mother within 24 hours, which would be a little after 6:00pm EST on Sunday 10/23. Anticipating that Frank probably doesn’t work on Sunday, my mother assumed he wouldn’t call until Monday. Well, Tuesday evening rolled around and Frank STILL hadn’t called. My mother called customer service back, which they had advised her to do if she didn’t receive a call, and the person she spoke with had no idea which Frank she was told she could expect a call from, and why. After ANOTHER long explanation about the situation, she was told Frank is the Delivery GM and customer service stated he would absolutely be calling today. Guess who STILL hasn’t called?? My father was a contractor for many years and has been a loyal Home Depot customer for decades. He built several of our houses when I was growing up, including the one my parents still live in, and he shopped almost exclusively at Home Depot for those projects. I’ve never left a negative review for anything before, but honestly I feel tempted to write a dozen of them just to recount this terrible experience. I will be posting this on their website as well, but in the event it gets taken down, I want it to be accessible for other potential customers so I will also be reposting this to other sites. DO NOT buy appliances from Home Depot. Give your money to a business that actually deserves it. I don’t even know how it’s legal for them to lie and deceive customers this way while still stating they won’t offer refunds. An offer of $150 upon completion of a delivery that THEY FAILED to make happen is insulting at this point, and doesn’t even begin to cover the inconveniences my parents have suffered because of this. If someone from Home Depot is reading this - FIX THIS, and do better.
