I love Home Depot and have purchased my Christmas tree there for many years. Their prices remain reasonable where others have overpriced them tremendously. But this year the trees are way less quality than before. They’re trimmed to pencil-thin status and those of us who prefer a fuller tree came out pretty disappointed. I truly hope this was a one-year problem. Please give us a variety like you always have.

Home Depot needs to set up an email for problems with online orders. Of 3 items 1 did not arrive. The tracking said shipped and there it sat, not arriving. Tried the text option to check. Typing in all the info was a pain. they said they would get back to me about the order within 24 hours and never heard a thing. The next evening I called the customer service number. After pressing all the proper buttons, giving my order #, confirming my name, address, phone number trying to give the information. Problem was they also had the wrong tracking on the packages, so while I received one item the tracking showed I didn't and the other item I didn't receive tracking showed I did. I explained this to the service rep. He then looked at the tracking and told me I did receive the item I was saying hadn't come. Did he not listen to what I had just explained? As he seemed very unable to help me I asked for a refund for the missing item. He typed a bit and told me I would have to put in a charge dispute with my bank. Why would they not just refund my credit card? Must admit by 25 minutes on the phone I had lost patience. Asked for a supervisor. The phone sound cut out several times while on the phone, did it cut out again when I asked for a manager? Then it went to the survey. I called back again, went through everything all over again. This time at least I had someone who understood the issue and tried to help. So after 75 minutes between the texts, and 2 phone calls, I may get my refund after the item doesn't show up in 3 more days and when I take the other items back to the store. I did not enjoy spending an hour on the phone after a long day at work. Home Depot do better. I searched for an email address without success. With an email I could have typed everything in, in 5 minutes and waited for a response. I will not order from Home Depot again unless they get a better system if there are issues with an order.

Shelves were unorganized, empty, equipment in aisles, out of stock items just to name a few. There were no checkout except at the lumber section. Self checkout with disinterested employees. My last time at Home Depot.

I normally favor Home Depot because I know where things are. But they are famous in Alaska for very poor customer service. Though it seems a bit better just recently. More floor staff. Today I was left hanging for a kitchen design appt while she spent 20 mins on the phone. Then while I looked around in that immediate area a lady came and sat. They started talking. After a couple minutes I left. They ask for a phone number but they don't use it. I was in the store in other areas for another hour. No loud speaker or phone call. I went to Lowes and gave them my 15,000. Excellent customer service. Much more professional and nice set up.

Requested delivery with signature required. They instead just left it nowhere near my door, never attempted to ring for a signature. I have a doorbell came if they ever came anywhere near my door I would have known, they didn't. They shoved the paperwork to sign in the box handles.

Horrible delivery schedule. They care about the purchase, but has little care for the delivery schedule in communicating.

We went to Home Depot to see about having countertops for our kitchen. The man working in that area was very nice and helpful. After about two weeks a man came out after two calls to set up an appointment to do some measuring. Very nice friendly person. When He was done he gave us an estimate based on the measuring and our choice of counter. And that was the last time we saw or heard from him. He never answered our calls or efforts to set up something. I believe he said he was a contractor for Home Depot and Lowes. Long story short we will not be using Home Depot for anything like that again.

Example of poor quality. Here is the lamp I bought at Home Depot Woodside NY. After only a few days the bottom started crumbling. See the awful result which is also scratching the floor! Most of the stuff they sell is extremely low quality.

Project involved installing a new kitchen. Designer did a credible design and was helpful, though project execution was personally disappointing. Home Depot estimated 4-6 weeks completion. Project took took nearly 7 1/2 months, for a small galley kitchen. Just some of the issues: Seven cabinet doors had splotchy or smeared finishes, or finishe didn't match. Doors thus needed replacing. Yet replacements also had flawed finishes, or were the wrong size. So they also needed replacing. Response to complaints and requests for new doors often was slow, and messages often went unreturned for lengthy periods. Took several months and about seven rounds of replacements to obtain properly finished and sized doors that should've been right the first time. Wrong floor tiles were ordered and needed reordering. Nobody even told me. This adding several weeks of delays, without communication from Home Depot. Floor tiles that finally arrived were too large for a small galley kitchen. Home Depot didn't advise me of this during initial selection. More delays and re-ordering. Installer left multiple beds of sharp nails sticking straight up during construction. I barely avoided stepping on them in my bare feet and incurring significant injury. Communication was often lax. Design rep, for example, didn't respond to my repeated requests for advice on choosing a backsplash. I finally called another Home Depot project staffer to locate him. She couldn't reach him either. Turns out he got a new job and email at Home Depot. He never told me or other project staff contact. Overall, project was delayed by continuous mistakes, poor coordination, often subpar customer service, and poor cabinet craftsmanship. After completion, a door came off its hinges when I opened it. Installer used screws that were too small. Home Depot's kitchen business model needs upgrading. Nobody coordinated the entire project. I dealt with multiple siloed employees, with no overall accountability. Clients need a lead rep to coordinate project, get messages returned, and ensure quality install on time. I experienced considerable anxiety, often felt ignored as a customer, and felt frustrated by continued mistakes, delays and project coordination concerns.

Here in Central Houston, HD has one of their busiest stores on Loop 610 West. They are so secure in their effective monopoly that they don't bother keeping their online inventory updated. I just wasted a trip today to buy 20" drawer slides (over 50 in stock they said), only to find the bin totally empty, and none visible in shelves above. So I went to Lowe's and found what I needed. Maybe it's time to drive the extra mile (and don't even think of finding quality lumber at HD :()

We went to Kitchen Appliance design department. We worked with a designer that was very talented. The problem was they would not return calls or emails after creating a design. We would go to the store to talk to them and if they were busy they promised to call back. That never happened. After agreeing on a plan we paid $100 to have a person come out to take measurements. That person was supposed to call to set a time and day to come out. We never heard from them for 3 weeks. Finally we had enough of extremely poor service and went in to cancel the whole thing and get our money back. So long story short don't use Home Depot to contract any remodel or new builds in your home.

Keep in mind when purchasing an appliance from Home Depot--they are not a real appliance store. Most appliance stores offer delivery and actual installation. Although Home Depot offers the same, the company they use are basically delivery men. Installation is a "crap shoot" The dishwasher I purchased remains in my dining room after 4 attempts in having it installed. They initially did not have the junction box I ordered on the truck, but they were willing to return after they received it, along with a long drain hose. Well after rescheduling 3 more times, on the 4th attempt and over a month since the initial purchase, they (US Pack) cannot install it. Never had these issues when I purchased my other dishwashers through Sears.

Ordered grill cover ($89.99+) with free shipping and delivery date mentioned as of March 31, 2021. Shipment tracking suddenly started showing there’s an issue with delivery. Messaged on contact site and the guy on other side he has no info as to when it will reach. Ordering was done considering we move to a different state on 4/2, and to cover the grill before leaving. With no info being provided about revised likely date of delivery we are left in a lurch. Maybe we can cancel order but then the grill cannot be covered. There’s no coordination between the online store department and the shipping agent. Very bad and sad!

Home Depot Lincoln Park 2665 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614. Called to change an incorrect delivery address and was met with sophomoric phone pranks. I called the main number, the woman was very helpful and issue was quickly resolved. Customer service should matter, as Menards, Lowe's, True Value, all offer the same products. Never again Home Depot- ever.

I purchased, online, the LG 5.2 cu.ft.High Efficiency Mega Capacity front load washer and matching 9.0 cu.ft. dryer which were delivered today Feb 6, 2021. I paid $1,499 for each piece. I ordered the pair on Jan 28, 2021. Two days after ordering the pair I read they have the exact pair on sale; the price was now $1,099. That’s a difference of $802. I looked online and found Home Depot has a well-documented 30-day price-match guarantee. I waited to call them since I thought I had some time, and wanted to wait until delivery of my appliances. The day of delivery (02/06/21) I called a store to apply for that rebate. The store I called told me that APPLIANCES only have a 7 day price match guarantee. I never read that anywhere. Needless to say I’m very sad, even angry. I could have called when I learned about the decrease in price, two days after purchase, but wanted to do nothing that may delay delivery so I waited until they were delivered. The delivery was delayed due to the pandemic, and if it had been on time we could have made it within that 7 days. I think these days some leeway could be made for such things. I usually have no complaints about Home Depot. I do now, and will tell friends and relatives about this.

My main complaint is about Home Depot policy and their choice of XPO company for delivery. I ordered a "Available On Line Only" granite vanity top (bathroom sink). After waiting nearly 3 weeks, it arrived BROKEN. The replacement, 3 weeks later was ALSO BROKEN. The tracking #'s provided by HD at time of sales were unusable on either companies site. The XPO phone system will give updates, but I found drivers can lie about locations and "attempted" deliveries. Past the XPO automated system is a Call Center in the Philippines.. The Home Depot call center was better, but all they can do is offer an apology and take your next order. HD needs to offer better shipping options for these items that can't be purchased in store.

Their website was again malfunctioning. Went to store to place order. The woman was by no means pleased to help. But did so anyways. She was upset to have to go back and change shipping location (should have asked home / store). For a 5 mile drive and free shipping. I want home. Oh well, get mad. They also do not honor military discount on web orders (even when their site is down and one makes a 5 mile drive) out of loyalty. Lowes gives militay for on line orders. All their discounts are tied to your phone number. No need to even carry your card with Lowes. Technology that Home Depot has not obtained. In S.C. the Depot lost over 75k in the construction of my home there for the lack of this technology. Used to be H.D. parking lot there was always full 6 yrs ago. Now there lot is mostly employee vehicles and Lowes lot is now a 1/4 mile walk. Think H.D. should consider a new CEO before its too late if not already. Shame, H.D. used to be my "go to store". Stores in S.C. refers to Anderson. Sad service is the N.Lauderdale in Fla.

I am a little frustrated...We ordered a freezer in May with a delivery date of August 18th..The nearly $900 was withdrawn rom our checking account when we ordered it..we did not understand why we were paying for something that we would have to wait 3 months for but went with the flow..It is now August 14th and we are told delivery has been pushed back another 3 weeks to Sept. 5th..I called and was told there were people who had been waiting since March..WOW HOW INSENSITIVE..Ahh well welcome to the new norm..Considering that we bought a new dishwasher and Dryer right before the freezer we are going to have to think about who we buy from next time
