On the 11 September 2022 I paid £111.23 to Hoppa.com for a return transfer from Ciampino Airport to our Hotel in Italy. On 28th September 2022 we were met by a reasonably smart looking driver who drove us from the airport to our hotel on the outskirts of Rome in a smart reasonably new E class Mercedes. Unbelievably the day before we were returning to the UK they gave us a time for pick up to take us to the airport to meet our return flight. HOWEVER, the time was virtually the same time as the flight!!!. I had terrible trouble getting through to Hoppa but I did eventually get to chat with an agent online. They said they would get back to me by email. They did get back with an email from the partner saying they were unable to pick us up any earlier. This was despite them requesting the flight times from us weeks earlier. And as anyone who flies regularly will know transfer companies normally like to take you to the airport up to 3 hours before your flight departure. Hoppa then emailed us and said they couldn’t supply a driver and suggested we make alternative arrangements for our transfer to the airport. I requested a 50% refund extremely fair in the circumstances as we had to arrange alternative transfer back to the airport at our own expense. So far NO refund has been made. This is one expensive transfer company who in my opinion are operating illegally and using “sharp practice” to swindle people out of their hard earned money. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST if they do not have people to con they will cease to operate…..BEWARE Angela and Paul Sale (staying in Rome at the time)

Booked my holiday transfer 4month in advance with hoppa and paid for it in full. Before picking us up we were advised of the time they were due which we weren't overly happy with as we were advised there were delays at the airport checkin and security and this means we would be really rushing to catch our flight but after contacting hoppa to try and change the time we were told no amendments could be made to the booking. We left it with the arranged time and waited 45mins to be collected tried ringing the emergency number they gave on the confirmation email no answer so had no choice but to call a local taxi firm. Ended up paying nearly double the cost again to be late. Will never use this company again and would definitely not recommend as I have seen other people have the same problem. Their customer service after was disgusting

Prior to covid we used Hoppa many times while traveling in Europe. They were always there at the airport waiting which was important since my daughter and I were traveling alone, sometimes arriving late at night. Very recently we had several pick ups arranged in London and Paris. In London the driver was not at the designated pick up location at 11:00 p.m.. After waiting a half hour we finally reached him and he said he was late because he had been working! Really?! He finally showed up but we had to walk a long distance to meet him at a dark underground parking garage which was pretty scary. In Paris we arrived on time and waited 45 minutes. The driver never showed so we took a taxi to our hotel which added considerable cost to our trip. Not happy since I had paid Hoppa in advance for a round-trip pick up over a month in advance! An hour later while we were in the taxi on our way to the hotel someone called but did not identify who they were because he couldn't speak English. He just kept yelling so we hung up. We were relieved when a driver did show up for our return to the airport but even with his gps he couldn't figure out how to get to our terminal. He took us to the cargo flight area! We were very nervous and asked him why he didn't know the way but he never answered us. By the time he figured out how to get to terminal 2 we had very little time to go through security and get to our gate. We literally had to run to our gate. They advertise that they will be at the designated meeting area IN THE AIRPORT with a sign showing your name, along with the other limo drivers but what they did was try to tell us where to meet them OUTSIDE the airport. We will NEVER use Hoppa again. If you want security with your pickup in a strange airport DO NOT use this service.

Don’t book with this company we suffered flight delays and it was impossible to get in touch with them. In the end we didn’t get the transfer but we’re charged. Terrible customer service.

I was left stranded in Gran Canaria when Hoppa failed to pick me up for my return to the airport. I waited 15 minutes before the collection time, was still waiting 15 minutes later when I rang the emergency number which no one answered. I was travelling alone, and walk with a stick so having to walk with a suitcase to the taxi rank left me in some distress. I then paid over £50 for the taxi, I will never use this company again.

Similar to others here , our flight from malaga was 1300 and car Nice merc arrived at 7am stating the time was booked for that .we were still in bed and therefore cancelled him and got taxi at cost of 100 euro. customer service said it was our fault , but there is only one flight to dublin a day and it 1300. now i have used Hoppa for many years , and never a issue, however the attitude of customer service was poor and so i am trying to escalate the issue in hoppa . failing any satisfaction i will not use again...and it not about the money...

If I could leave zero stars I would ! Absolutely shocking company , website is a disgrace , asking you to cancel your details and claim refund even before you set off !!!Absolutley NO WAY of contacting HOPPA at all ! They make it this way so that you are facing a closed door every time , talk to us.com is a joke , there are no humans behind this platform whatsoever ! When you submit a complaint , it says ticket issued , and you don’t hear anything else ! The car arrived for return airport transfer 4 hours early at 5.30 am ! We were still all in bed ! Had to arrange another transfer with local taxi at €60 , and now no answer to emails applying for refund ! AVOID AT ALL COST !!!! In you want to avoid a stressful time and to be out of pocket ! Disgusting company !

No transfer My Wife and her sister waited 2 hrs at Malaga airport no taxi turned up emergency phone number not working both have medical problems which was very stressful for them tried contact to Hoppa myself in the U K on various numbers no reply DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Left me and my family stranded in foreign country when they didn’t show for transfer to airport, numbers on email confirmation either didn’t work or went to a U.K. a number that said the centre was closed and to contact local partners, but no details! Nearly missed our flight waiting for them to arrive. But a NO SHOW. Had to call a local taxi company to collect us which resulted in a $75 charge which Hoppa refuse acknowledge or reimburse, see receipt. They have offered a measly partial refund of £27.28. Revolting service start to finish. Would never use again and warn others to BEWARE…..

Beware if you are thinking of using this company! If it takes more than 35 minutes to clear covid checks, border security & collect your luggage the taxi will leave & Hoppa will accuse you of not showing up! The Hoppa transfer taxi only waited 35 minutes after our flight had landed before leaving, not giving us enough time to clear Covid pass checks, border security & collect our luggage. Hoppa admitted that the taxi should have waited for 1 hour but refused to accept responsibility as we didn't phone the local agent when we couldn't find their driver. The fact my phones sim would not work in Egypt so I couldn't call the Egyptian agent wasn't taken into consideration. An unreliable company that doesn't care about its customers - avoid & use a company focused on providing it's customers with a good reliable service. Beware if you are thinking of using this company! We booked our airport transportation for 11:15am and normally it takes between 30-45 mins. When we called our driver at 11:09am to check if he was near, he said he would arrive around 11:49am!! I couldn’t believe it. We were to be at the airport to catch our flight by then! I emailed the company and they still charged me. I’ve now open a complaint and will see when they will refund my money. This company is completely unreliable. We had three children and an elderly grandmother with my husband and I with our luggage scrambling to get two Ubers! Thank god Uber exists!!

WARNING Do not use this company left my family stranded at Orlando airport driver very rude no change of a refund they will hide behind legal jargon emergency phone number that doesn’t work DO NOT USE !!!!!!

I am completely disgusted with the service/lack of service we received. On journey 1, our baggage was delayed coming off the plane; the driver kept ringing me even though I had explained that we were delayed and he was extremely rude. Both drivers were texting while driving, this is completely unacceptable and extremely unsafe. Journey 2: our transfers never arrived. We waited at the hotel as instructed in our documents but the driver/s never arrived. After 10 minutes I rang the emergency number to enquire where my transfer was; I was told by the man on the phone that he would ring the driver and the driver would be intouch with me. The driver never rang. I then rang again and was told the same thing. The driver never rang once again. After getting off the phone for the 3rd time with the emergency number, 30 minutes being late, the driver rang and said he would be another 10 minutes. I rang after 5 minutes and consistently after that and no-one answered the phone. This is also the same with the emergency number. After trying to ring both numbers for around 10 minutes, a car arrived. As I understand this car was sent by the person on the other end of the emergency number; this is unacceptable as the car that arrived was a 4 seater; there were 10 people which was stated on the booking. We had to avail of taxi for 6 people at the cost of €100- the taxi did not provide a receipt. We were very close to missing our flight. This is utterly unacceptable and completely disgraceful. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company.
