Ordered a Christmas gift for my husband on the 18th December , I was aware it would arrive just after Christmas. I received a email saying the item was out of stock on the 29th December, how could this possibly happen ?how could it take 11 days to inform me a item is out of stock, when the item should have been posted and delivered by this time , no apology, just a automatic email. There are lots of good shops out there ,offering excellent service , this is not one of them, I will not be buying from them again.

Absolute thieves, bought a 300 Pound suit online, couldn't return to store, paid to deliver it back via secure courier. No Customer service phone, No web chat that pops up, No email address to contact, No help from buy and collect area at local store, NO REFUND 30 Days later and NO CORRESPONDENCE from anyone. Absolutely appalling, someone should do something about this. You can't just go robbing people. I've been buying from HOF since my prom suit over 15 years ago. NEVER AGAIN.

PITY REALLY, THAT MAN HAS TURNED QUALITY STORE INTO RIP OFF SHAMBLES!! ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO RETURN AND RECEIVE REFUND WOULD BE APPRECIATED MR. ASHLEY.

Ordered clothes on line as nearest store is over 100 miles away. Didn't know I had to pay postage but thought , this is the last time as they never used to. So a one off, £4.99. Got the parcel, no returns label, no invoice. Items did not fit. No printer to print out label so asked but no one to speak to. Thinking one would not come to me, I drove to store and instore was told they now do not take reurns to refund money. Over £170 between the 2 items. Only exchanges instore but didn't want to throw money away on what i didn't want. Came home and finally got return label only to find out I had to pay to return too !!! Took parcel to P.O. and was told to send safely to insure it it would cost £8 to send to them. Unbelievable. I hope this store rots. People wise up. We're just pawns to line their greedy pockets. Abominable way to treat the public. Invoice number 47707879

No contact details AT ALL. Most frustrating. I'll never order with them again. Complete change in customer service.

House of Fraser are now nothing more than a set of thieves! I bought 3 items, paid delivery of £4.99, returned 2 items at my expense within 10 days. This should have meant they refunded my credit card in full, instead they sent me an e-voucher, I didn't want an e-voucher, `I wanted my money back, something Mike Ashley seems desperate to hold on to. There is no contact number, so you can't telephone anyone, and the webchat link when it does eventually pop up doesn't work. So I then order another 2 items, just to get rid of this e-voucher and HOF, vowing never to order from them again. One of the items was showing 4 in stock when I ordered, yet they didn't send it, meaning I got just one item - This was just a single pair of socks, so in short, I've paid another £4.99 in delivery to receive 1 pair of socks. I will never buy from this company again, they are grubby and dishonest. Mike Ashley thinks he's smart but clearly he is not, the only good part of the House of Fraser business when he bought it was the online side, and he's completely destroying that. He might get away with underhand tactics on kids buying trainers from Sports Direct but I think the HOF customer is a little smarter - Be careful Mike or you may end up losing everything!

I walked round HOF bemused at the big change that was unrecognisable as the store that used to keep the poor man out because it had taste, it was expensive because it had a high standard of goods. Shopping at HoF made you walk out feeling like you had abit of class even the carrier bags had a bit of taste, quality and yes status about them. `Carlisle branch is a big old building that now has great big voids throughout, I felt like I'd walked into a pop up flee market store if I'm honest, no class just tat scattered around the three floors with no appeal. Couldn't get out of the store quick enough, even the staff looked almost appologitic and cowards away in corners like they had some shame about working there. Nevergoing back.

I have been a customer at House of Fraser Croydon for as long as this store has been opened and over the years I have spent a fortune on the luxury items in store and online. I have always experienced very good customer service from all aspects of this company and in the past I would have given this shop a five star rating. But recently I have noticed how much the standards have dropped to a poor one rating in the Croydon branch and online. In store It resembles tacky jumbled Sports direct. This is due to the Sports direct stock littering the shop. The online policy and service is no better and have changed from fair to unfair. I found it to be very exploiting towards customers. For this reason I would warn you all to shop at your own risk.

Joke company since Mike Cashley took over.courier left parcel outside even though it should have been signed for and of course it was not there. How do I replace £81-99 gift. HOF ignoring all customers and cannot contact them to talk to anyone.surely this amounts to theft if you take money but do not supply items

Advertising items as in stock only to cancel last minute and then not being able to order another item as no next day delivery option. Complete shambles since the sports direct takeover

Ordered sheets on the 23rd November. It was due for delivery on the 3rd November. I can see from tracking that it arrived at my "local depot" on the 30th so I thought I was getting it Monday, of course it didn't arrive. I've tried to contact HOF, but like everyone else I can't call (no number available), there is no online chat every time I've visited the site and there has been no response to emails. Tried raising a dispute on resolver but still no answer, just the generic automated reply. Contacted the courier company and they said the parcel must be lost and to contact HOF. Absolutely joke. Don't use these guys, terrible terrible customer service. In my case I'm now having to raise a dispute with my card provider (at least my bank has a phone number). More hassle than it's worth.

A loyal customer for 20 years, today I find myself strongly recommending that people do not purchase from HoF without being fully informed of the changes. - items not stocked (not out of stock, not stocked). Advised that they were moving to an online platform. - gaps in store conspicuously filled with sales rails - If you want delivered to the store it's about £5 which you can get back but in store credit - refunds - store credit!! - vouchers aren't being honoured, window to claim was minimal and advertising (well, I never saw any) So I find myself walking away from House of Fraser permanently as it simply is not that House of Fraser that I've been loyal to.

Following the takeover by Sports Direct my £195 of gift vouchers are apparently no longer valid. I am disgusted with this level of customer service and HoF has lost me and all my family as long term loyal customers. I wish then all the best in the future as they will need it. They will have lost 1000s of customer as a result of this I hope

The worst online experience I ever had in my life! I placed my order three weeks ago through House of Fraser website and the expected delivery was within 5 working days. I still have not received my item (a bracelet) and because it was for a birthday present, I had to spend additional time and money to get a new item from another store. I have contacted House of Fraser several times asking to cancel my order and get my money back. The response I got was disappointing, frustrating and irritating. “We are investigating your case; however, we do not know when we will refund the money because first we have to determine what caused the loss and where the item is.When we get the item back we will start the refund process” I do not care what caused the loss and where the item is, this is an issue that should concern only House of Fraser and do not affect the customers. I just want my money back asap because I have not received the item I bought three weeks ago. It’s such a simple request! I did not expect such a horrible delivery service from a well-established brand like House of Fraser! Not Enough Bad Adjectives to Describe my experience with House of Fraser. I strongly advise not to buy from this retailer online.

House of Fraser have Stolen £40 by refusing to honour and replace my gift card. I contacted Jenner’s in Edinburgh 3 days after their deadline and it took their head office, only able to contact by email, a month to reply and refuse to honour it. No goodwill given. Left with no choice not to shop in House of Fraser again or Sports Direct. As a customer I have that choice to shop elsewhere.

What an absolute joke this company is. I ordered a Vivienne Westwood keyring and received a Radley purse!? There is no customer service telephone number to ring and the online chat is never available. My emails were ignored and i eventually had to open a dispute through paypal. I now have to return the incorrect item back via recorded delivery at my own expense in order for Paypal to refund me. This company claims to be "The leading, national premium department store in the UK" yet has appalling customer service, no contact telephone numbers, goods have to be returned at your own cost and if you return goods to a store you are refunded by gift card. I am nearly £10 down for delivery and return of an item they incorrectly sent me. I would avoid this company at all costs
