I don't know where to begin... but I will try. I frequent House Of Frazer and looking through receipts between my company and I we spent over £4000 with the Victoria Square Outlet on the run up to Christmas. I had an awful experience with Ralph Lauren and the service, to the point that I was totally embarrassed by the accusation that my shirt 'smelled of washing powder' when I tried to change it... this continued with a number of other awful things being said during the course of the conversation. I then complained to the store and was told that I would be getting a voucher in the post as a gesture. I was told that this would not be the value of the shirt but I really just wanted some kind of small gesture. I would have been happy. I did formally love the store but that has all been totally destroyed now and with regret I find myself unable to return to shop there. This truly was the most awful experience of customer service I have ever experienced.

Watch out for online promotions of extra reward points. They stop you from getting extra points by making extra terms and conditions to qualify. Don't expect much help or knowledge from the facebook staff. Stick with Boots or John Lewis who offer promotions (without a million exclusions).

I recently visited Rackhams in Shrewsbury to find myself blasted by loud music. When I complained to a member of staff I was told that Management would only see my complaint as 'just moaning'. Whatever idiot at HoF thinks that being blasted by trashy music over cheap speakers is going to keep customers must be living in la la land. I was told customers are continually complaining but their concerns are dismissed. This is one moaner who won't be going into HoF again.

Terrible inaccurate information still waiting for refund even though they sent me a email I'm still waiting for the money to appear in my bank. Been weeks first told it takes 14 days.... says 10 on email then said email sent on 10 th when it was the 4th then said my bank was to blame er I work for my bank. Then after 6 emails said it's PayPal. No it's them. They are absolutely the worst people to deal with they don't want to know. I've repeatedly asked for contact names and for them to call me. I will never ever shop again with them shocking service well rather no service just lies

In case you have an issue or a complaint that needs to be sorted by customer relations, do not count on getting it sorted. Their behavior is highly unprofessional (including hanging up a call or ending abruptly a chat session when you insist on getting your problem sorted) and they will never take responsibility for their mistakes. Overall a really bad experience.

My partner purchased a coat for a surprise Christmas present for me £199 coat for that matter. Unfortunately, when I opened it on the big day and tried it on, it was too big and the style didn't suit me. So, at the earliest time we could, we took it back to Leeds store. We were told it could not be refunded as it was past the refund policy. He bought it on the 12th December ( wrapped it up and put it under tree). We took it back in the 27th. 15 days later. So, then £199 was put on a gift voucher. I tried on various coats - not a great choice!! So decided to use it online. So I could have more choice. After ordering a few and finally finding one I liked. Ordered 3 for choice - sent 2 back ( had used my credit card to pay for the other two). Guess what, they refunded in full the voucher for £199. Grrrrr and charged my credit card £149. I was very upset, My partner was fuming, rang customer services and was told that I should have chosen a coat for £199. The value of the voucher and to read the terms and conditions ( which are not accessible via the voucher) No where on the email you get with the voucher does it say -spend in full. In fact it says any balance left will be lost after expiry date- which to me implies you can pay as little as you like and as with all other stores they put the remainder of the balance back on the voucher. Which in my case would only have been £50. What does it matter how you spend it. You have paid cash, your cash and you can't even spend it how you please without rules. It also states you cannot spend the voucher in store only online - another ridiculous policy - as it was originally a store card voucher. So now I have paid for my own Christmas present and we have £199 for House of Fraser. Which quite frankly I am dismayed with. My partner will never buy anything for a gift from here again. Neither will I. Nor my family or friends who I have warned about this. Absolutely ludicrous terms in this day and age. Be warned!!!!!!! Such a Shame, angry, upset and disappointed

I ordered two items of furniture in store at Beatties Wolverhampton and was told that it would be placed in the room required and all packaging would be taken away. A company called Arrow XL was used. The drivers came and the first item was left in the hallway. I asked if it would be taken upstairs and the guy said it's raining and my carpets could get dirty. Considering the furniture was heavy I said I would take the risk for them to take it up. They did not seem happy about it. I asked one of the guys if the packaging would be taken and he seemed to think I was "talking down to him". We had a full scale argument about it in the doorway! There was a lot of tension in the air when the second item was taken upstairs and I decided to break the ice by offering my hand and say to the guy that I did not talk down to him. I even offered them a drink and "hugged it out" with the guy be he left! My argument is that this situation would not have happened if House Of Fraser made it clear to the delivery company what is required from the drivers. John Lewis drivers are always pleasant, they go to the required room first and let you know exactly what they will do so there are no hidden surprises.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They refused to return a product I bought online upon delivery when it looked absolutely nothing like it did on the website in total contravention of the consumer rights act. When I said the doors were coming off the hinges I was told to fix it myself! I will never shop there again.

Don't buy furniture or carpets from hof, furniture really comes from scs. Carpets, where do I begin.....should have been fitted 9th Dec, then 18th Dec left without a carpet over Christmas eventually fitted Jan 8th wow at last but and a big but the carpet bears little resemblance to the carpet sample in store, now fighting for it to be rectified, been a week and no further forward. Absolutely shocked by the attitude of a major retailer.

I purchased 8 Luna style cups, (2 boxes of 4) in you Lakeside store. When I opened the boxes at home I realised that one was chipped and also at closer inspection the cups where not great quality and 3 of them had marks. They were advertised at £6 each and in the sale at £3 each. I believe that anyone could see that they are not worth the £6 due to the quality. I went back to Lakeside on a Saturday evening to change them only to realise that the shopping centre had closed. Unfortunately, Lakeside Shopping Centre have not adjusting their times from Xmas and they are still advertising 10pm closure. I did speak to Lakeside and they were most apologetic as they could see that the time was still adverted as Saturday 10pm. As I live 32 miles from this store and it is my nearest House of Fraser I thought that it was best to call the store first. When I called the Lakeside branch no one answered the phone, it just continued to ring. I then called your Head office and the answer machine tells you that the number has changed and advised me to dial a different number. When I finally did speak to an adviser he explained that due to health and safety they do not like to take back an item that is chipped and he suggested that I go back to the store. When I explained where I lived and the inconvenience that I had already experienced, he was less than helpful. I feel that either these mugs have not been quality checked or House of Fraser have bought them cheap to go into their sale. I do struggle to see why a large store / company like House of Fraser who try to give off this good image would give such bad service when a customer is trying to contact them to deal with an issue. Surely if you have a store telephone number then someone should be there to answer the phone and the number advertised on your website should be correct. I am also surprised that one of your customer service team would be so unhelpful. Personally, I will now never choose to shop in House of Fraser again. My advice to House of Fraser would be to take a closer look at both M&S and John Lewis’s customer service experience.

Bullied into spending more money, stay away. I received a wedding gift card and thought I'd spent it on my online purchase. I returned one jacket as I bought 2 sizes. You'd expect them to refund you the money. But no they refund via an e voucher? This was a wedding gift that i was trying to use up. Disgusting. Example of how a high street shop tries to bully people into spending more.

If you do not want to experience stress, immensely low-quality customer service, lose money and have inappropriate attitude towards customers go to other stores instead of going to House of Fraser. The manager did not feel guilty of the poor customer service! When I was paying for the coat at The Kooples, young lady made a mistake in the charging price. Firstly, I paid £I50. Then she realized that the price is £250. She asked the manager to help. They made a reversal of the first transaction. I PAID for the coat £400 INSTEAD of £250. I was paying buy international card. As you know banks put interest rate on the returning money into the international card. Then I spoke to the manager and the higher manager: lady and gentleman. I have asked for the evidence that they made a reversal. She gave me receipts. I asked what can I use to prove that you made a reversal. She said that she already gave me, I am bringing all receipts that she gave me and there were two receipts and one little piece of paper called 'reversal'. She said that she gave me another receipt, I said 'No, that is all you have provided me'. She was claiming that I lost the receipt. I am completely sure that she did not gave me. MOREOVER, that manager looked unfriendly. She looked at me like it was my mistake. When I wanted to make a complain, she told me that they experiencing high sales, but in the store was only few people as I spend on the third floor three hours thanks to the The Kooples customer service. P.S. If you want to buy some stuff at The Kooples DO NOT GO TO THE HOUSE OF FRASER!!!

Bought my wife presents for Christmas and spent over £500 , on returning the goods we found out that even over the Christmas period you only get 14 days for a refund , we have spent a lot of money over time with House of Fraser and think this is very poor. I think they should have a look at other high street stores and their returns policy . It is totally unacceptable that you are only entitled to an exchange or gift card . We will not be shopping here again and will be encouraging our friends and family to shop elsewhere as well.
