If you do not want to experience stress, immensely low-quality customer service, lose money and have inappropriate attitude towards customers go to other stores instead of going to House of Fraser. The manager did not feel guilty of the poor customer service! When I was paying for the coat at The Kooples, young lady made a mistake in the charging price. Firstly, I paid £I50. Then she realized that the price is £250. She asked the manager to help. They made a reversal of the first transaction. I PAID for the coat £400 INSTEAD of £250. I was paying buy international card. As you know banks put interest rate on the returning money into the international card. Then I spoke to the manager and the higher manager: lady and gentleman. I have asked for the evidence that they made a reversal. She gave me receipts. I asked what can I use to prove that you made a reversal. She said that she already gave me, I am bringing all receipts that she gave me and there were two receipts and one little piece of paper called 'reversal'. She said that she gave me another receipt, I said 'No, that is all you have provided me'. She was claiming that I lost the receipt. I am completely sure that she did not gave me. MOREOVER, that manager looked unfriendly. She looked at me like it was my mistake. When I wanted to make a complain, she told me that they experiencing high sales, but in the store was only few people as I spend on the third floor three hours thanks to the The Kooples customer service. P.S. If you want to buy some stuff at The Kooples DO NOT GO TO THE HOUSE OF FRASER!!!

Bought my wife presents for Christmas and spent over £500 , on returning the goods we found out that even over the Christmas period you only get 14 days for a refund , we have spent a lot of money over time with House of Fraser and think this is very poor. I think they should have a look at other high street stores and their returns policy . It is totally unacceptable that you are only entitled to an exchange or gift card . We will not be shopping here again and will be encouraging our friends and family to shop elsewhere as well.

Ordered Carvela boots and a French Connection dress online. The boots have a glue stain and the dress has 2 holes in the sleeve. I love the dress and there are none left in stock so I asked for a discount. Refused without reason. Same for the boots. Asked them to fin out if the store had them to swap to save me waiting. Didn't even address my request. Passes from adviser to adviser and repeated requests made for info already provided.

I spent £207 and lost the receipt. I emailed the bank statement and a photo of the tags - they won't credit me with recognition points or even send me a voucher. I appreciate that I lost the receipt but the lack of willingness to demonstrate goodwill stinks.

I ordered 3 gifts for my mum's birthday on the 27th November. These were despatched on the 29th November and mis-routed. Fair enough, mistakes happen. They said they'd get it back to me asap. Four phone calls later, with people repeatedly telling me 'it'll be there tomorrow' it finally arrived on the 16th December (too late for my mum's birthday). When the parcel arrived it was left out in the garden in the rain, despite me leaving a note on the door to deliver to a neighbour or leave it in my shed if I wasn't in. I fetched the box inside - which had been battered to pieces and opened it up to find all 3 of the gifts either broken, or their boxes torn. I then rang up HOF, understandably really annoyed and they said I had to send in photos, which I did 10 minutes later. The first email I got, 48 hours after this, was to ask me to confirm my email address and order number. (The order number was in the subject line of the email - and the email address was the one I was emailing from, otherwise, how would they have emailed me back?) I am now on the 22nd November, they just emailed me to say that the 'email chain didn't save' so they don't have my photos...which is funny as they saved on my side fine there's nothing wrong with the email chain at all. I've now asked for them to raise it as a complaint where it'll take another 48 hours to respond - more probably due to Christmas. I'm still sitting with a pile of broken candles in my kitchen and £46.00 down. Never had such bad service in my life.

Ordered two boxes of crockery at £99 each after a search for white crockery Sophie contain , boxes came delivered by Hermes and they threw it done on doorstep . When I went to wrap it for Christmas present for my son realised it said pebble not white. Phoned house of Fraser and they said return by 10th December and we will issue a full refund. I returned it on 9th but they sent an evoucher that can only be used online. They have £200 of my money and the goods and now my son won't get a present as without a refund I cannot afford to replace the crockery. They also have no Sophie contain white crockery in any of the stores. So cannot issue replacement . I am appalled at this service and would not recommend them as a company to do business with.

Ordered a cardigan in my usual size, would not fit, too small, they would not replace it because I had taken the labels off. I reordered in a larger size, and then when washed (30 degree, Wool cycle, no Spin.) it developed many small holes. Had difficulty in getting a label to return it and because I am deaf having to do everything by email, have been having a running battle for many weeks( first week in November) and I am still not getting anywhere. They appear to be discriminating against me because I cannot use the 'phone.Insisting that this is the only way to get refunded.

My 'new' shoes had a scratch. They used a darker shoe polish to hide the scratch... Unfortunately, when I 'tested' the shoes, it was night time and there was not enough light to see the color difference between the left and right refurbished shoes. I went to work and discovered the bad work...As I was using my shoes, House of Fraser did not want to refund the shoes.

If there was an option to award no stars, House of Fraser would be getting a fat zero. Over a month after I returned goods ordered on line - two of which were delivered faulty and damaged - I am still awaiting a refund. I have spoken to numerous customer service agents, including two senior members of the "customer care" team, sent proof of postage (twice) and a copy of my returns slip showing which items I returned and why (again twice), sent numerous emails, most of which have not been responded to, all to no avail. I have spent hours on this and might as well have been banging my head against a brick wall. Nobody has yet given me a reason why my refund has failed to materialise, and everyone I have spoken to has given me different information about its progress through the system. It is now 34 days since I returned the items, and I am still no further forward. The incompetence of the customer service team is beyond belief, and the treatment I have received overall is nothing short of a disgrace. I do 99% of my shopping online, and I have never encountered anything like this before. I will never buy from House of Fraser again, but will stick with stores I can trust, like John Lewis. I feel defrauded, and my next step will be to take legal action to have my money returned.

ONLINE CUSTOMERS BE WARNED. Ordered online before realising I had been automatically logged into an old account I hadn't used in years which had a previous address. Immediately contacted Customer Services to advise - incredibly they will do nothing to prevent the goods from being dispatched to the wrong address. So they are now deliberately posting £120 worth of goods to a property where I no longer live where they will be probably be stolen or go missing. Utterly idiotic.

Delivery of goods to one of HOF collect+ points was refused by the collect+ business, apparently because the items (2 x travel bags) were too big and they were too busy at this time of year (13-12-16)....really!?!@@&**!! HOF have informed me that the goods are being returned to them and under their "return policy" and it can take 14 days to refund the cost of the goods!! If i want to re-order the goods again they will give me a free next day delivery voucher but i need to re-purchase the goods again before i get refunded on the original purchase....whilst they have 14 days to refund my original (failed) delivery, unbelievable!!! Given the goods were not refused or returned by me, damaged or delivered to their collect+ delivery address then I cannot see how the goods can be treated under their "refund policy". What utter dreadful service!!

Ordered sofa and carpet 6 weeks ago, went through the hard sell of insurance, did get this refunded as went to senior manager team. Carpet was due to be fitted 9th Dec with sofas to follow, 2 days ago told carpet would be delayed until 19th Dec, then a random phone call from scs saying you've got 7 days to accept your sofas. Today a further phone call saying no carpet until 18th Jan followed by merry Christmas and happy new year. Don't think it would be possible to deal with a less professional company, never again though.

Beware HOF reviews...I recently purchased a pair of Linea cords in HOF which fit beautifully however after 2 wears the stitching in the seams was unraveling and the stitch work overall is of a very poor quality. There were no reviews online when I submitted my 1 star review. Amazingly immediately after my review two 5 star reviews appeared one from staff and one from buyer...such obviously bogus reviews...disgraceful behaviour.

I had the misfortune of buying 2 sofas from HOF Oxford Street London. It appears that I have actually bought inferior good from SCS. I am currently in correspondence with HOF Executive Complaints Team. Please email me if you have had a poor experience buying a sofa from HOF. Rachel.eve@btinternet.com

Organised chaos, not even organised! My daughter has recently completed 5 shifts at oneof the Midlands store as a Christmas temp. Cutting a long story short, she will not be returning after being insulted by another staff member (Called a stupid bitch whilst on the shop floor because she asked for help!!). This along with other issues with the store is what caused her to finish her shift 3 hours early. She has not been contacted regarding this early departure, or as to why she not turned up for today's shift!

I feel completely let down and mis-sold a sofa I bought around April 2016 by House of Fraser from their Linea range when in fact it was delivered and supplied by an outside manufacturer called SCS. Less than 14 days after delivery we had issues with one of the corner seats sinking as the span is too wide. Now after owning the sofa for just over 5 moths and three visits from Homeserve to try and rectify the problem, it is still not resolved. The first service technician agreed with us there was a problem and then wrote a report to the contrary who we later discovered has subsequently been sacked or moved on! The second technician has been very helpful and replaced the cushion, but once again this quickly sagged in the same way as the original! He was then tasked with coming out again to 'fit trim pads' but was unfamiliar with what these parts were that SCS were supposed to be sending out. The trim pads were never sent to either us or Homeserve despite House of Fraser saying they had couriered them over to SCS and we are still awaiting a resolution. The overall experience is poor and misleading. We chose to buy our sofa from House of Fraser based on their good quality and reputation. If we had known we were buying a sofa from an external source and NOT House of Fraser we would never have gone ahead with the purchase. We feel House of Fraser's standards have slipped.

Bought a Ted Baker Bag for £189.00 had it for 5 months and the handle split, I took it back with the receipt to HOF,the assistant told me there was nothing she could after all this time!! I asked to speak with her manager who came out to see me and after much huffing and puffing said "ok I'll send it to ted bakers and see what they do about it" 2 weeks and 3 days later I got a phone call from HOF "Sorry but Ted Baker has. Returned the bag and aren't going to do anything as its wear and tear come and collect your bag"I went to the store to collect the bag it was in the exact same place it was in when I left it with them, even the paper inside hadn't moved I asked if I could see the notes from TB about it being 'wear and tear' she said she didn't have any? I told her I would phone TB myself when I got home She then said "Oh we never sent the bag back,we just sent a photo of it"I was fuming! What a bunch of lying phony crooks they are, this wasn't just one sales person but 3 sales assistants all backing each other up .I Am now taking action through the small claims courts
