Do yourselves a favor and never in your life use this crappy company, I promise you will never find a worse service anywhere. My husband served his time, got his license back and they still didn't want to remove the device. The document issued by the MVC was sent where they authorized the removal of the device and even so they refused to accept it, they charged for one more month of service and threatened that if they removed it they could demand to have to reinstall it because the document was not valid. The calls are on average 1 to 2 hours of waiting, for people with the worst customer service attitude in the world to answer (in this case called Sarita). It seems like a charity service, even though it is the most expensive thing you can pay. Seriously save yourself a headache and look for another company, this is a scam.

The company is a scam. I had two installations on two different cars. I had two rebate coupons but they would only give me credit for one. I also got an error code sync. I called customer service and after waiting 20 minutes for a person they told me how to fix it. It happened again so I just fixed it myself. Then I got a violation 40 message. I was told I wasn’t supposed to undo the battery without having a Intoxalock rep on the phone! They wanted to charge me $75 for lockout plus the $25 from Xtreme to recalibrate!! Whenever I call there it is always a 20 minute wait on the phone to speak with someone. The call center is in India not that that has anything to do with it. Look to a different IID if you can.

The installation shop that installed the device put it in with a violation already on the device. After having the car towed back to the shop due to not having it repaired in time, they cleared the violation and the next day I received another missed retest while not in the car. I went back to the shop, they cleared the code again but I had to pay $40. The same day after having it cleared, I parked the car and didn’t drive due to it being the weekend and not working. I checked the car Sunday night and I now have another code 3 violation for missed retest. I haven’t even driven more than 10 miles which is how far it was from the installation shop to my home. So within 10 days I’ve already had 3 violations. I know how to use the device and I’ve had nothing but trouble and have to pay $75 to intoxalok plus $40 to the repair shop to clear the code. Obviously there is something wrong with the device or installation but I’m being gaslighted into thinking it’s my fault because the device can “be a pain in the ass” according to the installation shop.

The devices are big and bulky like the were created in the early 1900s. They drain your battery all year long, so you must put alternative devices to ensure battery stays charged or make sure you drive daily. Customer service is not up to par let alone just reaching someone. On top of all that, the devices are faulty. There is always an issue with the devices not working or not being able to start the car because of the device. This could be due bad wiring, bad devices, lack of communication between the devices, etc. These devices cause more harm on your car than regular wear and tear. They issue false positives tests, so be careful what you eat or drink before blowing in the device. Did I mention the ridiculous lockout fees they refuse to reverse most of the time? They charge about $100+ monthly to use on top of the bi-monthly calibrations you must get to keep you device working semi-properly. Which use to cost around $15-$20, now cost $40-$100 depending on where you go. There is no cap on what shops can charge you for calibrations, removals or installs. Some shops are charging up $500+ for removals and installs. This company is a rip off and so is the state that allows them to operate. The need to be stopped and lawsuits need to be set in place immediately.

I was eligible to have my Intoxilock removed nearly a month ago. They billed me another month and will not respond to any request for removal, I spent 90 minutes on hold yesterday and there was no customer service response. Today I will have my credit card company decline to pay any future charges. I am not legally obligated to have the device in my car but am told that I can not legally remove it. About the 4.5 rating on the Intoxilock site. They admit that they choose the responses they choose to show and that all people with their "opinions" published were paid to write their opinions.

The device was installed in my car in June of 2024. Since it has been getting colder outside here in New York, my car battery dies daily. We cannot plug a trickle charger, or any kind of charger into it overnight, as it will be stolen. We have had lockouts for battery dying, camera compliance because probation told us to move the camera, and another lock out for literally no reason. Yesterday, I went home on my lunch break, and when I tried to leave my house to go back to work, the device had a message on it saying, "Car unable to start device not serviced in time." The device was just serviced on December 18th, and my next calibration date isn't until February. So I called intoxaloc, who is never any help, and asked why my car was locked out. The girl on the phone told me she couldn't tell me and that I'd have to get my device serviced and call them back. Earlier today though I called and a male told me there is no lockout message on their end. They double charge us, customer service is awful and gives no real answers, their staff is very rude. Good luck with their talking in circles without providing any kind of assistance.

This company is absolutely ridiculous. Talk to five different representatives about a calibration issue. They don’t even know what’s going on. On top of it, it is extremely difficult to understand. Half of the representatives was on hold for over an hour trying to speak to a supervisor. Finally, I hung up. Only reason I’m giving them one star is because you have to.

Terrible service! It's all cheers before you sign up, then nobody will help. They made an appointment with out my request and then charged for it. I've called four times this month and nothing has been resolved. No professionalism! No competence!

Utterly the most terrible customer service I have ever experienced. They make constant promises and have no accountability. You end up waiting on hold for over an hour and they continuously save for over 2 years they are working on the problem yet it is never fixed. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy

They will charge you outrageously for anything and everything they can. Very hard to speak to a representative. Spent 1.5 hours on hold (multiple times). They are scammers. Do not use this breathalyzer company!!

The single worst company I've dealt ever with. Before you just chalk it up to me being upset that I got a dui... I know I made a BIG mistake and I require it to drive (1 year and im almost done) and I will never do it again, but this company is terrible. There is NO customer support. Also, I am on my 4th replacement device!!! It is on me every time a device stops working. The place I take it to said that they can't even count the number of INTOXICILOCK devices that they have had to order for replacements. They told me that they now keep an entire box just so they can keep people driving! Do not use this company. Consider this a fair warning. Use INTERLOCK instead or anything other than INTOXICILOCK. All they are are salesman with BAD customer support.

This is terrible. I just got this installed last week on 12/14/24 and Marrissa Reynolds completely ghosted me. The installation people at Car Toys overcharged me when she quoted me a rate of $145 plus tax for installation. They charged me over $220. I’m panicking because the automated system keeps telling me I haven’t signed a lease so my account isn’t available to troubleshoot. It also says my lease will be over in 2028 and there is no way I’m signing a lease for that long because I don’t think I will be with this company with treatment like this! I already regret going with this company I should have read the reviews. No one is answering you can’t get a hold of a live person. I don’t understand why they are doing this to me. This is completely unprofessional and unwarranted. I need someone to contact me directly and not try to provide me with a number for me to call like I see in the previous terrible reviews. I need someone from Intoxalock to reach out to me like yesterday. They are saying my account is overdue and I have no idea why. No one will give me any answers. This is the worst service ever. I want this thing out of my vehicle if someone can’t respond to me asap. I’ve emailed Marrissa Reynolds 4 times now and nothing not even a kickback email to tell me she is out of the office for the holidays. So in my mind, she is ghosting me.

Please know that there are other companies you can use. Intoxalock is almost double the price of others. They charged me a $30.00 application fee(which they told me was refundable). Other companies checked what I needed for no charge. I have contacted them numerous times over a 4 month period, by phone and by email. No one has returned any of my messages, and I have yet to be refunded. Scammers!!!

7 day install nightmare My car has been at Hamilton auto shop 1032 First St. Novato, CA for a total of 7 days since 12/6/24 & still it needs a jump start when it sits overnight w a new Odessey AMG 600 CCA battery. Brandon (Intoxalock mediator) has called my shop and myself for the last 4 days, sending out parts to the shop overnight and getting their tech to talk in Spanish, w the shop's tech. Still Leo (the manager) claims they are losing money & wants to uninstall the IID and refund me my money; so much for certified service center ? What about my time without a car and a NEW $326.00 battery that now needs to be replaced? Brandon has tried;however, the shops should be held accountable for not providing a proper Intoxalock installation, especially will they advertised 3 hour install with certified technicians. The first install had small gauge speaker wire for a ground and wires where connected by soldering them together and wrapping them with electrical tape. I pointed it out to Leo, so the next time my car wouldn't start, Leo had their "REAL" San Rafeal Intoxalock tech do a proper installation w Intoxalock logos on ALL heavy gauge electrical wire connections and 3/8" x 18" plastic shield wrap along the firewall that protected the enclosed a group of heavy gauge wires. The 1st. amateur install messed something up, my car constantly need a jump start. Intoxalock needs to find another service center with ASE technicians, that know how to find a "parasitic leak" with a OHM METER ! BASIC AUTO ELECTRIONCS 101
