“Booked a parcel through Irish Parcels through GLS to go to London from Galway. All I got was empty promises. It was to be collected since Tuesday and despite numerous phone calls and emails it’s still not collected. I’m absolutely fuming. If I was told honestly I could have changed couriers. Why say you will do something if you don’t mean it. It was paid for online. Gutted. Disappointed. Let down. By the way I still want it delivered. ADAP”

“I have used Irish Parcels a few times now. I always compare prices and invariably they are much cheaper. This week a parcel to London was less than half the price with them.Great value and was picked up from my door and delivered to London on time.”

“The previous week I used Parcels direct, by mistake, to deliver two packages. After umpteen phone calls and 8 days later the package was delivered----in smithereens. This time however with Irish Parcels my package was picked up promptly and delivered on time. Thank you Irish Parcels and a job well done---I know who I will be using in the future.”

“My parcel STILL hasn't been collected let alone delivered!! Even though the tracker shows it has!?! Customer service are working on it but courier is useless -GLS!”

“I was very happy that my parcel reached my brother on time. However it was stressful waiting in the house all day as collection was from 9am to 5pm. At 4.50pm the parcel had not been collected and I was told there was no guarantee that it would be collected on that day, as the drivers were very busy Thankfully the parcel was collected at 5.10pm. But as I said it was an extremely long day waiting for the collection.”

“I recently made 3 orders with IP, 2 were collected and delivered 100%, excellent service. However as my 3rd order is to be collected from a school before 2:30pm when it closed this seems an impossible task for IP!! I'm sure you could arrange this pick up during the hours of 9 & 2:30pm. IPS38890”

Thank you very much for your feedback. Collections are from 9am to 6pm as advised when booking, sometimes we are able to arrange shorter collection times if requested in advance, before booking. We can advise on which courier would be best suited for this service. Have a great Christmas!

“Warning do not use this company to send your parcels. Parcel stolen and no refund given even with the insurance: bad customer service. I will not use them ever again. Better to pay more and use Anpost to send parcels.”

“Horrible company! Trust me to never use Irish Parcels. Its an absolute SCAM! I paid a lot of money for a shipment after being told it was ok first of to leave it in a parcel shop to be told later in day its not. Parcel is lost and paid for shipping label and that 50 euro insurance also not getting back!”

Hi Carolyn Byrne, thank you for your feedback. I understand you have been in touch with customer service who have issued you a full refund. You booked a GLS service that was due to be collected from your address, however, you left your parcel at a local shop for collection. We would not advise you to do this unless that was the collection address booked and you had the shops permission. You can only drop off at GLS depots with Irish Parcels. You would need to collect the item from the local shop that you left your item at, we are unable to do this, we do not have any of the shops details and is not a service we offer. I hope you understand.

“This year we are extremely happy with the collection & very prompt delivery of both parcels - one to Kincardine, Scotland & the other to Manchester, England. The Scottish parcel was delivered in just over the 48 hours & the Manchester one in a few hours more. Had bad experience with Scottish parcel last year when recipient didn't get her Xmas Cake & pudding until well into January, despite being sent in plenty of time. Wasn't delivered to the recipient's home & no notification of same through her door. Took days to establish that it had been abandoned at a PO miles away from recipient's home - not even her local PO & when that established, the PO wouldn't even look for same as she had no slip/paperwork to show. Add to that the fact that she s a disabled person who walks with 2 crutches. To say the least, we were all very disappointed then. Happier this year all round.”
