“Very easy company to work with, wanted a 15kg parcel sent from Ireland to the UK, tried UPS direct first and got buried in red tape and customs forms, gave up on that route. Went through Irish Parcels ( who use the same UPS service ) and the complete procedure was a breeze, no hassle, no red tape, just an efficient service. Collected on the day stated and delivered to the UK in just 2 days. Great telephone communications ( with someone in Ireland not the far flung corners of the world ) would use again :-)”

“Got a box of tiles collected and was to be delivered within 2 days. Not only was it not delivered but the tiles were damaged and we had received not information about it until we started making calls. Amateur behaviour and won’t be recommending.”

Hi Noel, thank you for your review and for using Irish Parcels. Irish Parcels is a courier comparison site and does not physically handle your items and did not damage your package. We can see you chose DPD as your courier option in this instance and we do apologise for any issues you may have had with this shipment. We cannot see any calls or emails to Irish Parcels and your review is the first time we have been alerted to any problems, did you call the courier directly about this instead? Tiles are extremely fragile items and should never be sent through any automated courier network as these will travel with other heavy and large items, down conveyor belts and chutes. A courier network is not suitable for fragile items such as tiles. Our team at Irish Parcels are always more than happy to help and this has been reported to our team who will be in touch with you regarding this. “This was my second time to order a collection via UPS to mainland Europe. My parcel was picked up on the designated day and got regular scans all the way to its destination. Very convenient to use and perfect for shipping devices with lithium batteries as they travel via ground service.”

“I used Irish parcels this week for the first time. I wanted to a 22kg package from Wicklow to Mayo. An post told me that there maximum weight was 20kg and a quick Google search brought me to Irish parcels.ie. I found the whole process incredibly simple and easy to use! I thought the price was very reasonable and the parcel was collected from my front door in Wicklow and delivered to Mayo at 9am the following morning. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using again.”

Hi Giovanni, thank you for your review. We can see you sent 7 items from Ireland to Italy with one of these being reported as being damaged. The chosen courier in this instance was UPS as Irish Parcels do not physically handle your items and Irish Parcels did not damage this. The remaining items arrived safely and on time. It is very rare for any items to suffer any damaged as long as they are well packaged and protected for transit inside a couriers network. We are sorry for any damage to your TV as they will travel with other heavy and large items through the network which is largely automated. This will involve being transported on conveyor belts as well as going down chutes as they are sorted. Fragile items such as this can be sent however we do advise all customers to package and protect their items with this in mine. If you need anything else, please let us know. “I shipped a brand new Philips coffee machine worth €500, including insurance. Unfortunately, UPS lost my package — which can happen. At first, I wasn’t too worried since I had taken out insurance. Their communication was decent (which is why I still gave 2 stars), but it took them 2–3 weeks before they officially confirmed the package was lost. The real problem came with the insurance. I was told I had to file a claim within 6 days of their first email stating the package might be lost. They did mention this in that email, but I overlooked it — my mistake. Still, I find this rule unreasonable. What’s the point of insurance if you only have 2 days to act, long before the loss is even confirmed? In my case, UPS continued investigating for weeks, yet the deadline for my claim had already expired. That simply doesn’t feel fair. For anyone shipping high-value products, I CANNOT recommend this company under these conditions.”

We can see that your shipment was collected on the 23rd of May with an estimated delivery date of the 29th of May. While the collection went ahead as expected, unfortunately the tracking stopped after this point. You first contacted our team on the 4th of June, at which time we explained the claims process, including the requirement to submit a claims form within 14 days of collection (in this case, by the 6th of June). While we continued searches for your item after this date, we did not receive a completed form during that period, despite sending it to you. Submitting this form is essential, as it allows us to escalate and properly investigate situations like this on your behalf. Even if the form had reached us shortly after the deadline, we would have done our best to move forward with a claim. However, as of today (25th August), we still have not received a completed form from you, which means we were unable to progress further. We are truly sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience caused.
