Parcel to be collected by GLS booked on you website to be collected on Monday. Driver turned up Wednesday afternoon. Service was cancelled and sent by fedex.

They picked up the package as instructed from the person I was purchasing it of and then emailed me to tell me to collect it in Carlow (I'm in Dundalk) as it was too heavy. If it was too heavy then don't pick it up. When I called up about it the man wasn't 1 bit helpful. I then had to arrange for it to be picked up from the courier depot.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for any issues you experienced with your shipment. I can see that the shipment was cancelled due to the item not being packaged correctly. Due to this, our courier was unable to fulfil the delivery and the item needed to be collected directly from the depot. I can see that our customer support team emailed you to advise this. I cannot see that you spoke with our customer support team via telephone with regards to this, as such, we can only apologise on behalf of the courier if you spoke with an advisor and found them to be unhelpful. Again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Great value and service, particularly as your stuff goes from door to door. It's much better value and a lot less hassle than trying to take extra suitcases on a flight at the start of term

The delivery got completely destroyed. It was insured and not on the list of exemption, yet Irish parcels did refuse to reimburse for the damage. This is not just poor but on the border to criminal behaviour....

Thank you for feedback. We are very sorry if there was any damage to the items you sent with Irish Parcels. We are the booking agent for your shipment and we work with the courier on your behalf. Damage is extremely rare on any of our couriers services and we sincerely regret that this happened in your case, as this is not the type of experience we wish for any of our customers to have. Unfortunately, the item sent was a non-compensation item. This is specified in our Terms and Conditions. We advise that these items are sent entirely at your own risk. Despite this, we did still try to pursue a claim with our courier for compensation on your behalf, as all claims are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. However, this was rejected by our courier and unfortunately this decision is beyond our control. I can see that, as a result of this, you were offered a form of compensation from Irish Parcels 7 months ago, however, we did not receive any response to this. I hope you can understand we were in the middle trying our best for you, but as you willingly shipped a non-compensation item there was nothing further we could do. I would like to apologise again for the inconvenience that has been caused and can assure you that this is a very rare occurrence. Irish Parcels ships thousands of items without any problems and I am very sorry that your item was not one of them.

I booked a collection on Wednesday 16/08, got a great price and was told the courier would arrive the next day Thursday 17/08 between 9am and 6pm. I waited indoors all day only for the courier to not turn up. I sent a request using your 'contact us' form to cancel my order and sent the item off myself early the next morning. At 12.45pm on Friday 18/08 the courier arrived to pick up my item. I called and explained the situation to your customer service rep, who was extremely professional and helpful, and told me that your 'contact us' form does not accept emails from yahoo email accounts so my cancellation was not received. I had to then resend it directly to an email address that was provided. The cancellation and refund was processed extremely quickly. I wasted my time booking a collection, staying in all day and then ended up having to post the item myself and call up to see why my booking had not been cancelled. I understand that the courier company is probably at fault for the delayed/missed collection and I cannot fault your customer service which is the only reason I give 3 stars.

Issues such as these are extremely rare, however, we do recognise that some factors beyond our control may occasionally cause collections to fail as our service is estimated. We are so sorry about this. As this failed, our courier partner rescheduled this collection free-of-charge for the following working day. As we did not receive your cancellation email, this is why the driver still turned up to collect. We also apologise for this - due to Yahoo's security settings on their email provider, this can occasionally cause compatibility issues with our 'contact us' form. We will certainly take this feedback on board and continue to improve our services. Again, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused in this case. If you have any further questions, please do let us know and we will be more than happy to help.

The online chat service is very good, the courier missed my item on the scheduled day and the chat assistant rescheduled the collection for the following morning very quickly and easily! Also the courier collected my item and wrapped it as I couldn't organise to have it packaged from where I was.
