Since I have written an extensive complaint, I'm amused I've been asked to write a review too. It's hard to give a good review to a company that doesn't turn up, lies about whether they did turn up or not, and then arrive to collect the parcel on a different day, AFTER the order has been cancelled.

It is very rare that items are not collected on the expected date, however we recognise that issues with collections and deliveries can occasionally occur, as the service is not guaranteed, and unfortunately this is not always within our control. Ordered a parcel pickup for thursday last week for which i paid. Now its tuesday the following week, and they still havent picked it up. The order was for a GLS pick up and when i mailed customer service they told me DHL would pick it up. I am not sure if they know what they are doing and frankly i am considering paying someone else to get the job done.

To avoid such situations, we always advise customers to contact us immediately if the shipment is not collected on the expected day. I can see that you were speaking with Melissa from our team, who contacted GLS as soon as possible to get this resolved. We're very sorry for any confusion caused. I can see from the tracking information that the item was collected successfully on the 12th and is currently in transit to the destination. Hi. I was initially delighted to come across Irish Parcels.ie. It seemed like a great service, door-to-door, reasonable rates and better speed of delivery and value than anyone else I had come across online or by phone. I selected the Express option along with maximum Insurance protection as I had a critically urgent delivery need to the UK but I must say I was dismayed when, over the following days, I received a mail and a phone call from my distressed UK client, wondering why I hadn't fulfilled my delivery promise - she, in turn, had people chasing her. She also said that from her online follow-up, it appeared that the parcel had not even been collected yet - this was the day AFTER which delivery had been promised in the contract! I also got online and phoned the company. At this point my faith in Irish Parcels.ie began to be restored with a very professional response and further follow-up by the phone representative, who explained the background (delayed plane departure from Dublin) and indicated some kind of compensation would be made if I emailed in my complaint. So, here I am-looking forward to some kind of appropriate response. Assuming same, and taking everything into consideration, I will certainly use Irish Parcels.ie again; I believe that the effort to respond to an issue that in fairness was outside of its control will have been well handled, if an appropriate gesture can be made. Hope to use the company again in the future.

Thank you for your feedback, Paraic. We are very sorry that your shipment was delayed due to the aircraft delay. This is something that is extremely rare. Although Irish Parcels couriers have a 97% on time delivery success rate, the service is unfortunately not guaranteed, only estimated. This is also stated in our Terms and Conditions. A really easy online quoting and ordering system,printable customs documents...which wad great as I had no idea about them in the first place! and real time tracking.. I have sent 3 items with them and all have been delivered safe and sound and in one case 3 days ahead of estimate.. Would definitely use them again and recommend the service highly.

Very happy with the delivery service, it would be great if the booking time could be extended to 11am instead of 10am for same day collection as it is not always possible to have the booking done in time by 10

Background: Moving all household equipment from Ireland to Germany (incl. bicycle). Positive: - The website as an easy to understand User Interface - good pricing - helpful support responding quickly - with Paul a good trouble management - tracking of parcel worked really well Negative: - special char "+" was stripped out of e-mail-address without notice, leaving me without the needed verification mail - help-desk replaced e-mail with another one, but accidentally added space in front of it, so again no login possible - to use the discount on top-up, I wanted to load exactly the needed amount. website allowed cent-amounts, but finally rounded the payment down, so I ended up with a lack of 33 cent on my order. Credit-card payment allowed no amounts below 1 Euro, so no way to pay. Top-Up starts from 10 Euro, so I had to top up those 10 Euro to get the order going. - on this payment, the left-over 9,67 Euro disappeared from the account - while one parcel with TNT worked perfectly, GLS basically broke all well packed glass-made kitchen utensils reliably with 100% (not covered by any insurance) - after email-support, the 9,67 Euro were supposed to be booked back onto my credit card. They haven't arrived yet up to today. Summary: The people behind the company have potential and are nice to work with The system is buggy in cases not being 100% standard Would I use the service in the current technical state again? Possibly, in some constellations.

Thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry you experienced these issues with your order. The top-up balance issue was caused due to two top-up payments being used to pay for one order. If you do not have enough top-up there is a 'save for later' option, you can click this to add more top-up, and come back to the order. We're also very sorry if any items sent on the service were damaged, damage is an extremely rare occurrence. Glass-made items are on our non-compensation list and if you are to send them, this is at your own risk, as they are not covered. We advise all customers to look at our non-compensation and prohibited items list to ensure that their items can be sent safely. Again, we're very sorry about this. Very good site and very efficient. Payment options are a bonus and there is no long drawn out process to getting your labels. Overall it is one of the best sites I have dealt with. Delighted I found it.

Could be very good if I wouldnt have to pay VAT, because I purchase service from an Irish company as a foreign company. I loose money. Other than that service is very good.
