“Bought a RC helicopter from JCPenney it was defective so I returned it. They have had it for 9 days now per the return delivery confirmation. They are refusing to refund my money. JCPenney shipped defective products and refusing to refund my money. Buyer beware!!”
“I think it’s rotten that you ship out merchandise that is defective, then when you have a delivery confirmation that you have received the merchandise back you sit on my money for 3 weeks.
Looks like I’ll spend all weekend on the internet reviewing JCP.

“I called customer service to ask if they can cancel my order that was pick up because of the coronavirus outbreak. She did not did anything to help me at all. I have never had any problems with return or cancel items since im calling to CUSTOMER SERVICE. Its the most ridiculous thing ever, making me call the store which was closed. My problem not solve. I would never order from them ever.”
“I ordered a quilt 3-5-20. Got e-mail would receive between 3-11 and 3-13. Check 3-12am still same info. Checked 3-12 pm new e-mail said would receive 3-18-20. Called cust svc 3-13. !st rep said could do nothing till mon. 3-16. Asked for supvr she said will couldn't cancel order but would refund money. Would take 3 to 5 business days. If recvd order to either call back and they would recharge me if I wanted to keep(sure the thought here was I would recv and decide to keep)or if still wanted to cancel call and they would send label to return at no charge to me. I should not have to spend all this time on phone or take item to ups store to be returned. Has jcp just been honest up front about how long it would take I would not have ordered. I see other customers have had this same problem. Shame on you. Wonder why you are going out of business?”
“They don't deserve any stars!!! Worst customer service experience ever! I ordered a very expensive dinnerware set and a set of glasses. Both arrived broken. In the process of trying to get them replaced one of their customer service reps became very rude and even hung up on me. I was going to reorder despite the fact I was risking them arriving damaged Again but after the poor customer service, I will order them somewhere else. I DONT recommend jc penny online for products or services!”

“Keep on hiring foreigners that do not have full function of ENGLISH ! You lost me as a long time customer of over 40 years ! From back to your catalog days... You service is disgusting now. Is this company that hard up to not give a damn about the service their customers get ? Many times the phone will ring forever or you are put on hold automatically and no one ever comes on. “I ordered And paid for 2 panels online and I received 1 panel and someone else’s sheer. I call customer service to get the panel I paid for and to let them know I will be returning the sheer I didn’t purchase. Customer service tells me she can send me the panel I need but she will have to recharge me for it and I will need to go into a store and explain what happened and get a refund. REALLY!!”
“I am super disappointed with my order from jcpenny matress delivery . I purchased 2k worth of merchandise and did not get the delivery as promised I received my package in two separate orders and paid for one . I spoke to kay, Patricia and 2 other people on the help line . All they can do is write a delivery note . I am extremely upset at the quality of my delivery , customer service and sales team for not stating that they will not be shipped in the same order . I spend one whole day waiting on my package and received half in the morning and half late evening, now they are saying I have to wait about a week for them to send someone to build my matress together . I will never purchase from jcpenny again and will be returning my order immediately”
“Buyers BEWARE!!!! JCPenney raises their prices to actually be higher during the biggest sales. for example: when an item is 30% off the total is$600 and when the EXACT same item is 70% off the price is over $900. I called corporate offices to ask why and was told “it’s standard retail practice.”
So seems to me they are happy to rip off their customers and consider that “Standard””
“When I went to JCPenney i bought a gift card in order to recieve a coupon. They insisted that I would get it by the date, but when i came back they said they couldn't! We went to store 2 times the customer service people said manager is not available so she took our phone number to call us but we never get a call from the manager. Very very bad experience with this gift card.”
“Order an online item. Received confirmed the order was in stock and then 2 days later received confirmation it was shipped via UPS and would be delivered in 3to 5 business days. Now 10 days later just received notice the item will not be delivered for another 4 days. No wonder JCP is closings stores when they cannot even get their online business correct. Stick to Amazon at least they delivered items within 3 days and even with the holidays”
“30 days before Christmas I ordered a curio cabinet as a Christmas gift. Recieved an email a few days later that I would receive a call by Dec. 7th to set up a delivery date. Heard nothing so I called on Dec. 9th they stated it shipped i should get a call any day. Again nothing. Called a week later again nothing and refused to check where it may be, I asked to cancel and reorder so that I may possibly get it for Christmas but they refused. I inquired a week later still couldn't find it. Finally on Christmas Eve i recieved an email stating my order was lost and that they would credit my card. Very Dissapointed that they were not willing to resolve this in a timely manner!!!”

“I ordered 4 items over a week ago shipped to store (which they now also charge for). On the same day I ordered from several stores across the country including personalized gifts mostly free shipping and have received all of the except JCPenney. The last of many explanations I received from them is that our shipping time does not include weekends. How ridiculous. Two weeks ago this was one of my favorite stores. Regretfully I will walk away from them now favoring more customer loyalty based businesses. I’m sure they won’t mind or they wouldn’t be having these issues.”

And they say they want to keep customers happy? No way, lost this one! I have to go shopping now for 6 items.”
