well, so i bought pretty normal amount of lots to be able to give honest review, at the start things seemed nice, i left one review somewhere of one star because of their customer service and charges and delivery time, although was about to change to 3 starts as things are not that bad, i got couple cheap items not up to expectations but it was alright not loss anyway, until my most expensive item arrived TV stand, totally wrong item, i paid for a nice tv stand with fireplace in the middle which cost exactly same unit around 500 i paid 70 with fees + 80 delivery which is costly but well still cheap for what i bought, arrives today, just a simple TV console worth 99£ on the internet!!!! OMG im so so frustrated to not listen to other reviews and thinking eh maybe its okay, worse part i waited for one month for it to arrive!!! and its wrong it gonna take another month for them to get back if and if its gonna happen, and then another month or who knows how long to send me right unit

Customer service non existant, looks like they check what you write and if its a complaint or something to be resolved they just leave it and dont answer, received only only received part of the lots bid the same day, DPD has nothing for me which means is still in their warehouse, i actually think when they see something sold cheaper than expected they just dont send it to you and say its gone or something happened and make it very hard to get the money back because there is no customer service, please people save your nerves and money for something else, believe its not worth it, but if your try be careful and make bids when you research well of the item you buy and bid half price of the cheapest option you found on internet so there are no regrets, although once i have resolved everything im not bidding here no more these couple £ of saving or extra income does not pay for the nerves you have to put and never know whats about to arrive and whats not.

Appalling service. Didn't take my payment for delivery. I have an email from my bank saying it was down to the merchant. I chased up the delivery after a week a and was told I couldn't before two weeks. If I'd been able to do it before I'd have arranged to collect it. The item is still in Nottingham but they've told me it's being dumped tomorrow. To say I'm upset is an understatement. I have wept over this as I've lost almost £300. DON'T buy from this company. They don't care about their customers at all.

f I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT buy from this company. I bid on two separate items. One I wanted to collect and the other I wanted delivering. Upon paying, I was told I could not do this as they only send one invoice. It does not state this anywhere on their site. They cut me off several times when I attempted to speak to them and the staff are extremely rude.I ended up having both delivered for an extortionate amount and that service was a joke too. The items came scratched due to poor packaging. They are swindlers and highwaymen. You have been warned!

they sell defective item and refuse to refund They hide behind T/C. It is impossible not to see the damage on the products, but they put the product in auctions. It is impossible to see the fault of the product from the photos with low image quality. Also, what they write as the real price of the product is often wrong information. Do not lose your hard earned money to them.

I have bought several items - all have had something wrong - the most expensive mistake was a job lot of 4 curved pc monitors. When they arrived 3 were badly cracked. There was another lot advertising cracked screens which made me think these would be OK because they had not said these were cracked - I contacted them to say I thought they had sent the wrong lot. They sent photos of the screens showing the damage - saying If I had been to see them (they had public viewing for 2 hrs before the auction closed) I would have see the damage. So they knew that they were selling a pile of junk, but didn't mention it in their listing. Beware of that when you read any of their listings. My advice think twice about buying from John Pye.

Bought items on 6/7th September , invoice received on the 7th sept to be paid by the 8th of September (less than 24hours) , package arrived the following week , on the 17th I had an electrican come and put in the ring wired doorbell pro with chime, so drilled holes in my bricks outside to put up , only for the doorbell not to give a WiFi signal to connect to my network , chime on the other hand did connect but was already connected to someone else account so couldn’t be used unless that person disconnected it On the 17th of SEPTEMBER I emailed about the faulty item and wasn’t until the 20th I was told you had to log on to their website to return said item, luckily it was a warranty auction as if not then no return would be possible, purchased on auction as a fully functioning item turns out was false advertising and took a further 2 weeks on back and forth emails to finally arrange a home collection for a return , however that return had to go to another site so they could send it back to the original site (I’m in Northern Ireland) Dpd don’t collect on weekends (yanno when most people are off and not at home) so was told a collection time with 5 minutes notice so had to cancel that one and arrange a day of for the following week to be collected but first of all I had to arrange for the electrican to come back disconnect everything he did and put my original doorbell back Collection FINALLY happened on the 12th of OCTOBER , made it to the galgorm site on the 14th which then forwarded it on to th so Leicester site and that arrived on the 17th of October On the 18th of October (today) I contacted the original person (rachelle Caulton) who informed me it only arrived today , which I sent dpd tracking info which it was yesterday but turns out she meant on her desk (not my problem) , who then informed me the price for electricians both visits will not be covered by them for their false advertising on their website along with the refund will not be processed for a further 2 days which will also take up to 3 further days to reach my account - which we know could be 3 “working days” that is the 25th of October - approx FOURTY EIGHT days after I made the purchase and have wasted my time trying to return and get my refund So I would advise anybody to be careful purchasing anything from this auction as they will not pay for any services you have had to cover for buying false advertised items that belong to other people

Avoid! I would give 0 stars if I could, I understand purchasing items that have a mark or aren’t in perfect condition but they are literally putting items that should be in the skip into boxes and selling it. We wasted over £100 on a Barbie House for our daughter that is just pieces of broken plastic.

THIS WAS FANTASTIC. I paid $3.50 for a 80" flatscreen tv. Turned up same day, and they threw in a free sofa. I will be doing all my future shopping on this amazing website.

If there's no guarantee or picture of it working don't bother, it's most likely broken. It's possible to get a deal but as often as that happens you will get utter rubbish. Check it before hand or don't bother. If you take a punt, do so with the thought that it is probably useless. For TV and Monitor, some of the better JP auction houses show you a picture so you can see it's not working. If you don't get that and you can't test it honestly save your money. Also be aware that you should add 50% costs on to your bid and lots of people bid things up very near to or over the cost once you add that and you also won't have new purchase warrantee

If you get scammed by this company John Pye & Sons Ltd contact actionfraud.police.uk #do not hesitate, they need to respond to them actions/false advertisements Company rules are not clear and every time varies depending on the end personnel. Example delivery is 3 category Parcel Delivery, Pallet Delivery and Home Delivery. a trick is you will pay for every job lot separate if is palet or home delivery price of £55inc. VAT. This what happen to me. I got win 3 lots total weight of 55KG and delivery counting according to them advertisement should be £78 for it and they try to charge me £120 because is same auction but few different auction lots. And advertisements do not mention this also if you are not careful you will be scammed like this with additional fees. Luckie for me I looked properly at the invoice.

Just don't. if your really lucky they will "mislay" your stuff, so at least its a little bit less to carry to the dump. If you really hate your children, buy them their Christmas presents here. most will be broken, or missing bits, just think of the look of disappointment on their little faces at Christmas. Be careful with electrical items. how they haven't killed anybody yet amazes me. How can they get away with selling dangerous electrics ? where are trading standards when you need them ?

Please be very wary before bidding for expensive items on the site. I bid for an expensive watch that was boxed and had cellophane on the strap and appeared new. I obviously and naturally assumed it worked. I live in South Wales this auction was in Derby and was a postal delivery only. When the watch arrived it did not work. I took it to a watch repairer for advice and was told it has an irreparable fault and is in fact totally useless!. I contacted John Pye who said I have recourse as I should have viewed it in Derby (hundreds of miles from where I live). Even if I had viewed it there was cellophane on the strap so I couldn't have seen whether it worked or not anyway!. I have totally wasted my money on a misrepresented item that is not fit for purpose and is in fact total rubbish. In these particularly hard financial times it is disgusting that John Pye will not reimburse me for an item that was meant to be a present for my 86 year old Dad. Appalling!

I DONT EVEN WANT TO GIVE THEM A 1 STAR. They advertised a double mattress with double mattress sizing and gave me a king size and won’t fix the problem.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! sold me an outdoor sofa set. It was flat packed in the box. Got home and got it out there was 3 items missing the main part of the sofa and 2 other parts!!! £130 and a trip to the tip down the drain can’t even use any of it!!! Should have been sold as parts not a ‘sofa set’ DISGUSTING

I bought an item of furniture for over £200 plus shipping. It was broken almost in two when it was picked up by the delivery team with a large almost full thickness crack in the item - seen in the photo attached. The auction house refused to accept any responsibility and said i should have viewed the item in person to check its condition. I live over 100 miles away and stupidly assumed they wouldn't sell broken items of furniture.
