Agreed to pay £1 for an answer. Was then only offered a service to speak to advisor for a further fee. I declined and did not pursue. I have now noticed I have been charged £30 on my credit card. This is apparently an ongoing £30 a month membership!!! It was not mentioned anywhere clearly about this £30 charge or an ongoing subscription. I have cancelled the membership. This was clearly misleading and mid-selling and wish to be refunded the £30.

If I try to leave less than 8 stars feedback it shows an error “coupon not valid” via the same link, clicking 9 or 10 it will accept the feedback.

As many have said I wanted to ask 1 question this took about 10 minutes to answer. At no point did I agree a subscription yet my bank alerted me to a £50 transaction from just answer. Luckily they are investigating and I’m hoping the account has been closed and cancelled. How sad that you go to a company for legal advice and it ends up they are the ones that are scamming you!

My experience is as all the others below. I paid £1 to ask a question about my telephone, the answer to which did not really help. On checking bank statements I realised I had paid Just Answer for two months at approximately £35 per month for no further benefit. I was not aware I had joined up to anything but a free trial. Customer services were not prepared to refund. A huge warning to other would be users of this website. DO NOT USE IT! This is virtually fraud.

Few days ago I spoke to the doctor that I had to pay a fee of £5.00 just looked at my bank statement now and saw that they have charged me additional £38.00 pounds for a membership fee . When I got to their website I never agreed to the membership I agreed to talk to the doctor over messages for £5.00 . Be careful dont be fooled by hidden membership that u dont even sighn up to . Absolutely raging.

I paid what I thought was a one off £10 for a question and I've only just realised by looking at my statements in detail that they've taken £45 every month! They had signed me up to a monthly subscription, this was in no way clear when I paid my original £10 and I received no email confirmation that I was on a subscription. When I complained they only refunded me £45 out of £180! In my opinion they are a deceitful and misleading website and, judging by the amount of people complaining about this same problem, they must do it knowingly. STAY WELL AWAY!

I thought I was getting an answer for £1, which I did, I’ve just noticed on my bank statement another payment taken for £4, I went into Pending Transactions & found they’ve taken another £35 & have signed me up as a member! I was never made aware of this at any point, I am so angry! Obviously I have cancelled this “membership”. AVOID! AVOID!

I wanted to book a call with a Vet who had initially responded to my query about my dog. I was asked a number of questions, to which I provided answers. Then complete silence from the vet responding. I was desperate for a response, so booked an online call with the vet, only to be told the vet could not take calls. They still charged me £10 for this though - even though no call was available for this particular vet. So, no answers or help provided, and charged £10 for a call that never took place. Just cancelled membership - appalling service.

They request £1 to subscribe on a promise refund after your subscription however a few days later they try to take £30 out of my account for a fee although you read the small print it says about the fee however it doesn't say about the subscription once they reverse your £1 you must cancel the subscription also after paying and putting my answer I then got notified that there's no internet connection after 20 minutes logging back on it requested another payment load of lies scammers and rubbish

I cancelled my membership with just answer.co.uk on both the 19th, then again on 23rd December 2023. Even still you tried to take 29 euro. I. Checked my membership and it said it was cancelled but I note again today you seem to have reactivated my membership and on 31st December are charging me 29 euro. I cannot believe this,as I have cancelled now three times and got confirmation of the cancellation!!

Your payment is showing as 'reversed' on our end. This means that we were able to cancel the transaction before the funds left your account. When this happens the charge will just disappear from your account because it was never finalized. This company is a scam. They just want your money. They took £30 payment without my knowledge. The bank alerted me and blocked payment. I cancelled my so called subscription . They acknowledged the cancellation but then a week later took another £30. I have requested cancellation yet again and have asked for a refund. They say that they have cancelled but have not refunded my money. I note that this company is in America

My question, for which I paid £1, was answered but I was disappointed to find you took £35 from my account 3 days later without warning. Turns out this is the first of a monthly subscription. I have now cancelled but you say I can’t have the £35 back. I would advice others not to use your services unless they are attentive enough to make sure they cancel immediately

Thought I was being charged just $5 for one question and I ended up being charged $46 and now they are saying it's no refundable. I just need my money back so that I can pay for a consultation with a lawyer.

I asked a question in October - did not get a helpful answer and since then have been charged £30 per month! I definitely did not agree to this. I’ve cancelled the membership I didn’t even know I had but would like to have £90 returned to me. I consider this theft.

I agree with the other comments in this respect. They use the initial introductory payment covering 3 days, in my case so £5, to extract card details and then take monthly amounts, in my case £50 per month, without agreement. When I contacted them I was informed that I had been advised accordingly, which is not correct. In addition I was charged a further £38 by the lawyer who provided the advise. They have cancelled my membership but will only refund the December amount, not October and November. I have currently paid £193 in relation to advice concerning an issue that involved £100. I intend to take this matter further to recover this sum.
