“ery poor and unprofessional approach to work. I had my car serviced from them last year at Ripple Road East London. Been going to main dealer before that. next day i started hear a banging noise from front, very annoying noise specially when car was stationary. turned out to be air filter box, which they removed badly and then could not fix it back properly and it was making loud vibration sounds. went back to them and after checking their mechanic said to me its a wear and tear, it happens, i told him i have been going to main deader for this car for 4 years, it was not a wear n tear there why here, he eventually tried to fix it with a double side tape but within 2 days noise started again. I had to go the main dealer to get that fixed. Also, the cover sheet thats under the bonnet, a bif black cover sheet, they removed it obviously to change the oil etc, but did not fix it back properly, few days after the service when i went to another garage to get new tyres, there i noticed half of the sheet was hanging because they did not put all the screw back. i requested that garage person to put screws in there. but because they were not meant for that sheet, the sheet is half broken now. overall it has been very poor experience and i am sure I will not be going to kwik fit for any of my motor needs. They should actually change their name to Kwikly Destoyed. dont save your money save your car. go somewhere else.”
“Had car booked in for service at Bromsgrove tomorrow, got a call the day before that they could no honour the booking. Offered an alternative week, that was not workable due to my work commitments. Rang service centre to get a refund as prepaid. On phone for half an hour no response. Went into centre and asked if they could swap the booking to another centre. They said no they couldn't. Rang other centre, very helpful, booking changed, no issue.”
“Amazing service on Saturday when my brake fluid level light came on. They saw the car as soon as I arrived, checked the level which was low and refilled it.
AMAZING SERVICE.
HIGHLY recommended and they were incredibly helpful.”
“Fab service this week from KwikFit Bromley. Steering went in my car and I called expecting them to say bring the car in a few days / next week etc etc but instead they said bring it in straight away - even though it was 15 minutes to closing. Josh - got on the job straight away - found the problem and stayed late to finish the job - which was extremely appreciated. Many thanks”
“After previous poor service delivery at Kwik-Fit Brentwood I decided to avoid Kwik-Fit where I can. But when my daughter's car had a puncture on a Sunday and Kwik-Fit being open I thought I give it try again and see how it would go this time.
So I brought the tire over and I asked them to repair the tire.
After inspection they tell me the tire cannot be repaired, I have to buy a new one (around £120). I knew for certain the tire could be repaired, so I declined and left.
The next day I brought it to my regular mechanic (PA Autos Billericay, excellent service, good price!) and he fixed it for £12.
Do I need say more?”
“I would like to show my appreciation for whetstone Kwik fit for the amazing service they gave me the other evening. I had hobbled to their branch on literally the rim of my wheel, it was about 4 pm and they were chockablock. I was desperate, I had a funeral the next day in Eastbourne and I was driving myself and a few other people down there. I can only say the service given by Kim and head mechanic Steve was above and beyond and I am sincerely grateful for their fantastic service.”
“Great service as always. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Been fab throughout covid safety measures in place great to see. Excellent 5 🌟 star service as always. Great guys always polite and make you feel welcome even if they are real busy.”
“Kwik-fit Daybrook Nottingham. Did not show proof of change of oil as this caused the timing chain to fail on motorway covering only 1000 miles from the time of enhanced service including oil change. The garage that repaired the car findout that there was no engine oil at the time and no leakages from the engine.
Complained to operations Manager for Daybrook Kwik-fit and was very dismissive defending staff and not willing to take responsibility telling me that my car was an old car (2011 Mercedes Benz). I paid £512 and went through this within 6Months from the time of service.”
“Kwik Fit Southsea. Had my daughters car booked in for a 3pm MoT today and went for a walk for an hour. We received a call on our landline which we didn’t pick up as clearly we were out walking. Got back to the centre to be told that the car had failed due to an engine management light being on. We have had the car a year and it has only done 39k miles and never had an issue with it at all. I asked what we could do and was told that they could put it on their diagnostic for a cost of £35. I said ok as clearly we needed to get the MoT done. Whilst waiting my daughter said are you sure it’s not the LIM Light which is the speed limiter? We are told no it was the EML engine management light. We asked him to show us so we walked to the car and he put the ignition on and my daughter switched off the LIM button and funny old thing the light went out. The guy then said on a BMW the light is an engine warning? This car is a Mazda 2 so what relevance that had? The MoT tester came over and looked into the car and the guy showed him exactly what we had told him and he proceeded to show him the button ‘labelled LIM on the steering wheel’. The tester acknowledged to his colleague that he had made a mistake, but hadn’t realised I was by now standing by them. We were told that we had to now wait for the tester to finish off another MOT. We duly waited for 45 minutes, after which the tester came out of the office and handed us a ‘pass’ certificate.
I did ask that if over the phone we had said to go ahead with the diagnostic they would have probably said that they reset the fault code. There obviously wasn’t a fault at all although this now does show on the .gov.uk website that the vehicle had an MIL fault. So hence very happy that we first had to wait around for 45 minutes unnecessarily and also that the tester clearly didn’t know what LIM light means on a Mazda.”
“Popped into local branch at Ruislip Manor after finding a screw in the tyre, the staff were very helpful and friendly and repaired the tyre within half an hour, will definitely be back.”
“My daughter called in to Kwik fit on Westgate Road in Newcastle to have a a puncture repair or fit a new tyre. She had to get to North Shields to pick up her 3 Yr old son from nursery a journey of about 10 miles. The customer service agent refused to help stating a staff shortage of staff and basically chased her. She was a business client driving a vehicle which should not have been on the road. No help in any way shape or form and according to my daughter he had a disgusting attitude. I can now back that up after speaking to this particular branch on the phone. Totally unacceptable attitude and would never go near this branch again. Apology required as a minimum.”
“Booked KwikFit mobile online to replace two tyres early this morning. Note that I could have used a local option, National tyres or Halfords who were also offering slots next day. In the booking process I was offered a choice of available slots. I chose and needed next day. Paid my £320 over and subsequently received my confirmation email - all good. No. Less than an hour later I received an email saying they couldn’t make the slot they’d committed to (the only reason why I went with KwikFit in the first place). The email stated they could fit two days after my confirmed slot at the earliest (but it wasn’t clear that they would actually be turning up). I called KwikFit. Took an hour to get through. They didn’t seem to think taking my money and confirming that it would take 5 days to refund it was an inconvenience and they couldn’t understand why waiting an extra three days for tyres was an inconvenience either. I was promised they would try and see if they could do something (offer me an improved appointment option) and I would receive a call within 30 minutes. 6.5 hours later no call (no missed call or email) I called AGAIN to chase. I assume they have finished for the day. So I don’t know what this company is intending to do with their failed commitment for my £320. I will have to find another £320 to get a competent business to help sort my tyre needs out while I wait for a refund. This is not the first time KwikFit have done this to me. I gave KwikFit the benefit of the doubt but never again.”
“Kwik Fit Kendal. I would give minus figures if I could! Absolute CHAOS - cars everywhere - blocking the main road - no one really knew what was going on! Booked in for MOT (and a prior appointment to fix two necessary things I knew it needed). Was told they had no record of the booking! Because they didn't have time to sort the problem, MOT couldn't take place. Appointment was at 10.30 and I was only told at 2pm that nothing could be done! I don't live in Kendal. A wasted day! DO NOT be fooled by low prices. The stress of it won't be with it! Am still awaiting a refund which I'm sure I'll have to chase up!”
“Nightmare company to deal with who have wasted my time, been unprofessional, unreliable and made continous problems for me instead of resolving them over the last 18 months. Do not use Kwik Fits services. I have been given 2 faulty batteries by them within 18 months. I have had to have 2 emergency call outs to restart my car. The very batteries they have fitted I was informed were incorrect and ill fitted and would not pass anMOT failure according to several external car mechanics. Centre Managers do not call you back. Customer Services do not call you back. Customer services assure you they have spoken with Centre Managers, yet when you arrive they tell you no such conversation has taken place. What a joke. I have had bad experiences in 2 centres in London and 1 in Oxford. There is a 15 minute average wait at every centre which always seems to be under staffed and without reception cover. Also Customer Services put you on hold for 15 minutes. This is not just one Centre it is an organisational incompetency and unprofessionalism. I will not be stepping foot in their doors ever again.”
“Took my car for MOT and they failure the mot because the DPF was cat into 2 to be cleaned with dpf cleaner and jet wash , the DPF have a zigzag shape that is why it was split into 2 too be properly cleaned
Job was perfectly done, DPF became just like new
So what is the purpose of a DPF , it’s to catch smoke, so they could see what there was no smoke coming out of the exhaust that means that the DPF is there but they still failed the MOT
And they take far too long to do a mot like 1 hours , they are too slow and useless , won’t recommend to anyone”
