Established in October 2000 Lexham Insurance was originally formed as a specialist broker handling Moped, Scooter and Motorcycle Insurance. The operation has rapidly expanded and now handles polices for tens of thousands of riders and drivers in the UK and Northern Ireland.

“When you ring Lexham you get through to a real person straight away. None of this hold nonsense. They offer an online chat system which again is answered very quickly by a real person so as far as customer service goes they are pretty good. However the main negative for me is the high and none negotiable prices for Learner Motorcyclists.”

“I got a quote for them giving me a price of £250 a year and they told me that quote is valid for a month. 2 weeks later i call up and they say its £335. They said they could not find the previous quote even thoe I had it on email and had emailed them the quite. So basically they change their prices when they feel like t and they chat S*** to customers saying the old quote doeskin exist. Did end up getting insurance as it was the only company that insured my bike but for next week I WILL NOT USE THEM. Been a customer for 2 yrs and will not use them again. Have already put people off them and hope to put the whole world from using these guys.”

“The whole process to get insured was really smooth and the only problem I had was easily corrected via phone. I would rather they have a better website where the customer could manage themselves the policy and any changes required. I had a claim 4 months ago and again the whole process was really smooth and the staff in the claim department was very helpful and efficient. The only drawback is the communication across different departments: while I was dealing with the claim process, someone from their call centre called me regards the policy renewal for the stolen bike and also I've received letters from them about it at the same time. Overall, the have reasonable prices, a good customer service and I would recommend them.”
