I use Lexham for 2 reasons, 1 - I have to have insurance by law and 2 - I made the mistake ofbuying a cheap chinese electric moped and lexham is the ONLY insurance company in the whole of the UK who recognise the make and model so I have Hobson's choice, if I want to use the bike I have to pay way over the odds for the most basic TPFT insurance and just suck it up and stop whining.

Cheap and cheerful. There are many drawbacks, the systems won't allow them to use information from your old policy to renew if your existing policy expires. Customer service is hit and miss. It is the cheapest cover for motorcycles by far, and it feels like it. I dread the idea of having to claim.

The service was really kind, but even if it were possible to communicate in my language, the process would be easier and quicker since I speak Portuguese, a European language.

I received a renewal letter from Lexham which was followed up by numerous reminders both in the post and online all duplicated. When the time came to renew I wanted to speak to someone but was advised that it was a busy time and there could be a long wait. Subsequently I went online and booked a call-back which was acknowledged on screen. I never received the call back either on the specified day or the following two days. I then tried phoning again but received the same advice that all operators were busy. I then went on line and booked another call-back which was acknowledged. Once again I didn't receive a call back and have still not received one days later. I have since renewed on line which was straight forward but I was expecting an instant email acknowledgement but to no avail. I now have to assume that I am insured.

Helpful staff but time on hold is ridiculous way to long first day was 1 hour 40 mins on hold no answer.second day 1 hour 25 mins no answer and then again we'll over 1 hour on hold not good enough

Whilst the insurance premium for my bike from Lexham was significantly lower than the others received, I think you get what you pay for. Having done a full online quote with them and submitted my details, I could not start my policy without phoning them. At which point they insisted on taking my full details again despite having them visible on their screen. An hour later, with all the details captured (again), they gave a price for my policy... which was £102.79 more expensive than tbe online quote. When I challenged this, they said that was an online price and the fact that I phoned meant it would increase. This was despite the fact that their website clearly states that online and phone prices are the same. After a chat with a manager, they eventually started my policy with the original, cheaper price! The whole deal left a sour taste in my mouth.

1st year with them was £1400 and with the years no claim bonus it still went up to £1700. My insurance is now worth more then my vehicle

I had a problem setting up my card when I first started with them, and then I had a whole year of mensual payments being taken. Now and after a year I can no longer pay monthly, which is a annoying. Customer service is ok.
