Established in October 2000 Lexham Insurance was originally formed as a specialist broker handling Moped, Scooter and Motorcycle Insurance. The operation has rapidly expanded and now handles polices for tens of thousands of riders and drivers in the UK and Northern Ireland.

“I have received road assistance after breaking down on the ramp for the M25. The people on the phone have been helpfull. Just the recovery took a bit too long (4 hours waiting). Luckily there was a pub nearby! They could not fix the bike on the spot, it took 5 hours work in the garage the day after.”

“Good service, reasonable insurance as a result. The process took a little longer than I would have liked, but I guess much of the talk is regulated and they have to say it. I got a follow up call, which was nice, but I got the distinct impression it was really designed to sell me something, which wasn't quite as nice.”

“The time taken to deal with my emergency was average. It would have been helpful not to have been put on hold whilst a carrier was organised to pick up my broken bike and myself. Also it wasn't clear that I could only be transported 25 miles, although that was explained to me in detail the following day, and I understand the rationale. Operators were polite, but " have a nice day" at the end of the conversation when I had been knocked off my bike was inappropriate!”

“Your insurance fits my needs but the agreement terms and conditions were written in language that made me feel that i had entered into and agreement with the mafia, being told to return signed letter within a certain time frame or risk and administration fee of £26, s etc. You guys want to get more customer friendly. Once this policy comes to and end i will not be renewing. Just hope that you guys stick to your end of the agreement.”
