Never use this company. A company should live and die by customer service, but this company will give you no service at all. The flowergirl dress I received was nothing like the photograph; poor quality material, poor stitching and huge in comparison to the advertised age it was intended for. I requested a refund. They said it was 'made to measure'. That was the only time they raised a smile during this process. Absolute lies... knocked up in a sweatshop more like. Avoid, avoid, avoid

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered the dress which looked fabulous in the photo on the website, and at the purchase price being asked for the dress seemed a bargain. The dress arrived today and what a disappointment! The quality of the material is poor, shiny and thin. The finish of the garment is at best amateur. The procedure or returns looks difficult and shipping would be costly.

When were you going to mention the extortionate CUSTOMS TAXes that are shoved on each package to UK customers then?. Liars, cheats, do not care about you, will steal from you and have no intention of refunding. Con artists, I am going out of my way to ruin them. We have enough internet con artists as it is, this is just another new one on the block. Not for long, not if I can help it.

You forgot to mention, as you Yanks always do, because you lie and cheat, is there is a big fat CUSTOMS TAX for all UK paying customers. AVOID this website like the plague UK customers, they slap on these huge customs taxes and expect you to pay it on the doorstep when the item or items arrive. To add insult to injury, this con artist online based retailer seem to think that if you do not accept the item or items and pay the customs taxes and the item is automatically returned back to them in the US, that they do not have to refund you. So lets get this straight. 1. No mention of any customs tax on their website. Yet they lie with promotions at the top of their website in order to get you to purchase their items. 2. They flout the law and rules protecting internet customers. They apparently do not have to refund you if they item is automatically sent back. So you are in a 50/50 situation, where by if you do not pay the customs tax, items returned, you get no refund, or you pay the customs tax, then at your own expense have to send the itme back. No F you LightInTheBox, who the F do you think you are. I am going to make it a priority to lose you as many customers as you can, all because you lie on your website.

We have bought a dress for a wedding on the 8th of the month, with priority line shipping ("4-7business days"). We still have not recieved it after the wedding at the end of the month. Despite I paid an extra sum of money, for the """"faster""" delivery. You also can't file a normal complaint. The do the turn to a different division trick. So you cant get to someone whom could actually help you with your problems or claims.

I ordered three pairs of ballroom dance shoes - wrong size sent. I paid by Pay Pal and despite asking for a refund, have been waiting since May. They ignore my requests. I would never use this company again and have advised friends to do the same.

lightinthebox has no customer service--just someone monitoring this site---kicking cans down the road. This company takes customer service to a new low. They put up a firewall to customer service, by using sweet, but vague distractions. They give will give you a fake address for returns. Here is the address I got through my Paypal inquiry: Paypal will not give you the address on the first ask (or the 2nd or 3rd) so I had to get it from Paypal. I was told to have no discussion with lightinthebox and to buy tracking, proof of delivery and insurance. The address they gave me is the one below. ---------Paypal address for lightinthebox (don't try it)-- -""" Light in the Box Limited Guangdong Dongguan, China, contact Wei guodi (Guanddon Dongguan China) Address: No. 60, Xinyuan Road, Songbailang Management District, Dalang Town, Dongguan City Guandong Province, China CHA KWO LING, HONG KONG ISLAND HK.""" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Imagine trying to put that on the standard shipping label. There is only a short line for the name, street, city, state & country. Which is which on this address? The package came back like the dead cat from "Pet Sematary" but it was three months later. No such address. I was out an extra hundred dollars in postage. Others on this site have had worse experiences, with lightinthebox supposedly accepting packages but refusing to acknowledge them. . Lightinthebox acts like a victim in all this. They blame the Post Office, the customer or another department. If something is the wrong size, it is automatically the customer's fault, even though their size chart is off by a mile. Quality is consistent with Communist sweat shops. Oh wait, China is a communist country. Their problems go beyond an order number (which they can't even look up anyway) and they stack order numbers by having you order more things with a discount code and then they cancel that order and allow the rewards to expire before you find out the order was cancelled. You can see how one problem with one order becomes several problems snowballing all at once. I have received well over 200 emails telling me they do not accept order numbers. Here's just one of them: -----------------------------message from lightinthebox----------------------- """Your recent email to Lightinthebox could not be associated with a specific ticket. We regret to inform you that we CANNOT link your reply to a specific ticket.""" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------They do not acknowledge or use order numbers. My good nature and patience are being exploited. My refund is overdue by several months. Roadblocks and spikes on the road are a way of life when dealing with lightinthebox. Last I checked, they have blocked my emails, so all conversations are one way only. Of course the chat option on their website doesn't work (anyone surprised?) and they have no phone number. (again, is anyone surprised?) I furnish my ticket number and order number every time I contact them, but it does not good, because they close my open tickets so that there my problem goes to purgatory with no access. The ticket always says resolved and though they will tell you to open it, it will not open and even they can't open it.. From there, there is no place to go. They have asked for product numbers, order numbers, email numbers, and that's where your problem goes for burial. Below is one of many patent ansers you get from them. They ae vague answers designed to lead nowhere fast. These emails to resolve problems become more vague and less frequent over time. They hope you will forget about them if you have to jump through so many hoops. When I ask for a refund, or even reinstatement of my rewards, they don't respond with anything that makes sense. At first they talk about the prospect of a 10% discount code to be used on a larger order in lieu of other compensation. If you say yes, you are done. If you say no, you are done. It is a game of delay and kick the can down the road and blame some other department. Here it is verbatim. -------------------------------message from lightinthebox--------------------- """I'm so sorry that I didn't give a solution to your problem. I take full responsibility for my actions and deeply regret the inconvenience that it must have caused you. I apologize for my unguided actions. In the future, I will be sure to ask several questions from my customers to fully understand the situation before offering a solution. I hope you can forgive me and that we can continue to work together if you have any more support needs. Note; I forward again your case to the responsible party I waiting for an answer. Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Best,Yuneydi""" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, back to the real world. I answered this and they never again answered me. I am known as having the patience of Job (from the bible), and that may be why I have continued to overlook problems for so long. But one problem becomes ten if you keep ordering because the orignial probelm gets loaded into the next order and it becomes too complicated for lightinthebox to keep up with their lies. It is a snowball affect that sucks everything good out of you as you try to navigate their maze with trap doors and pitfalls everywhere. . My advice is to cut your losses of time and money. here seems to be no end to their shenanigans. Notice how the monitor of this site always uses the expression of "firstly". You can be sure what he really means is there will always be more delays. Their tactic is to keep the consversation going at very slow speed as the fat lady starts checking her microphone.

PLEASE READ ALL THE INTSTRUCTIONS AS SOME ITEMs CANNOT BE RETURNED AND THIS IS NOT CLEARLY STATED I would strongly advise those considering purchasing a the Pansuit to fully read the instructions for return. The Pansuit/Jumpsuit CANNOT BE RETURNED. This is NOT CLEARLY stated before purchasing. When I attempted to return the item, I was advised it was a 'made to measure' order which is was not as I did not provide me measurements. I was then advised it was a 'made to order' item as they do not stock these so there is NO OPPORTUNITY FOR A REFUND. I am now left with an item that cannot be used and was expensive. I will not be using the company again and I am seeking advice regarding this.

When the styles & price looks too good, well I wish I`d remembered that when I ordered £231 of mens & womens tops & apair of "MENS NAPPA LEATHER SHOES". 80% OF CLOTHES ARRIVED IN DIFFERENT SIZES TO THOSE ORDERED (RESULT 75% WAY TOO SMALL) Mens shoes may have been called "NAPPA" But were "NAPPA PLASTIC" !!!! When a customer tries to contact L I T B company You get "service temp unavailable" then eventually invited to fill in a "TICKET" where you would fill in details AND INCLUDE PHOTO`S of each garment explaining problem, when tried to contact again to ask how taking photo`s of garments you can`t get on would help resolve issues. No answer then just "service unavailable" again. YOU ARE EXPECTED TO PACK AND PAY YOUR OWN "SHIPPING COSTS TO THIS BEIJING FACTORY" !!! P.S. T-SHIRT & WOMENS TOPS FEEL & FIT LIKE A CONDOM. L E A V E W E L L A L O N E. PPS. `NOT WORTH FILLING IN DELIVERY FACTS ON THIS REVIEW BECAUSE MOST ITEMS DIDN`T FIT , THEY LIED THAT THE SHOES WERE LEATHER & THEY WERE PLASTIC, AND DIDN`T WANT TO REPLY IN THE 30 DAY (INCLUDING RETURN SHIPPING) PERIOD. THEIVES, CON MERCHANTS OR JUST IN THEIR NATURE ??? LEAVE WELL ALONE.

Takes forever to get product, and just received an email from them stating there was a problem with mt latest order and that I had to provide them with pictures of my credit card and ID. I suspect this company is a fraud, as I've placed numerous orders and haven't received anything in months. Stay the hell away from these people.

Do not buy from this site! Read reviews on Trustpilot and reviews.co.uk before dealing with them! When I looked, sadly after I had bought items, there were 52% good reviews but 27% bad reviews. We all know good reviews can be fake, but bad reviews tend to be genuine. Nearly all bad reviews contained similar complaints to my own. i.e. wrong size, shoddy quality, and brushed off by “customer services” because they can get away with it. In particular 1 item I bought was definitely small, but there was no label to state what size it was meant to be. Also the hemming was of terrible quality. It was delivered in a Jiffy bag, creased and screwed up as though it had just been shoved in. When I complained they said I was wrong about the size (no mention of any label missing) and went on to say that they classed it as an accessory, and there was no policy for returning and refunding for accessories. What? In the UK the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 covers any goods not as advertised, of poor quality and not fit for purpose but because it is a Chinese company, they can get away with it.
