Terrible service. I have ordered 2 crates and been given one as a gift and I can tell you the reviews that says "dollar store items" are completely accurate. The shirts are cheap and fade in one wash, the items are not what you expect at all. 1. The wizarding crates are suppose to be house themed, they are not. I ordered a Ravenclaw crate and received a Slythryn crate... Because it was a "dark arts" themed crate. No warning that there wouldn't be a single Ravenclaw item. Why even have us choose our house and make a big deal about all the crates being "your houses theme!"? Bull.... 2. Crate #2 (the gift) was cheap, ALL of the items I wouldn't have paid $1 for, the 4 items that were in the crate that is! Mixed in with all the lovely advertising stuff. More advertisements than actual items. The ads were better quality than any of the items. The last didn't show up. I requested a refund and the support team informed me that they had a new payment system and couldn't process my refund, after waiting 5 DAYS BETWEEN EMAILS (there is no way to speak to a real person) TWO MONTHS TOTAL. They did offer to send the crate after all (late), or give me a credit on my account for more of the cheap crud. Useless! I just want my money back! Do NOT buy from LootCrate. It is by far the worst service I have ever encountered. A scam. Overpriced dollar store items, NO good exclusives, FALSE ADVERTISING about what's in the crates, ATROCIOUS customer service. I cannot honestly say one good thing about this company. BEWARE

I ordered several great deals on "Cyber Monday" (11/27) which according to their website would ship in 3 to 5 days. As of 12/18, my order is still in confirmed status. I contacted customer support via email (which is the only way to contact them), and was told my order "should" arrive by Christmas, but to reach out again if it didn't. So disappointed ...

Our subscriptions are usually received by the 19th of the month. We are still waiting for November’s boxes and it is 12/17 already. I have been told at least 3 different reasons for the delay and dates that it would be to my son’s by that have come and gone with no boxes. This is ridiculous! Horrible customer service.

Horrible. I ordered a crate in June and they claimed they would have it shipped by the end of October. It still has not come and they keep pushing back the shipment dates! It was mid-November now it seems that the crate will come in December. Very disappointing. This will be the last time I order from this company.

Submitted order during August. Month later no update, contacted support and told ticketing system was down and would have to wait 10 days. 10 days later, warehouse issues and order would be dispatched soon. 4 weeks later, dispatch notification. Several days later checked dispatch notification and order cancelled without explanation. Contacted support, told since order had not been dispatched yet had been cancelled and that I should reorder at twice the price. Support refuse to explain why and queries bounced between two people, both claiming I need to speak to other. Terrible company, terrible support.

order placed on 7/23 and was charged right away. Site said shipping takes up to 14 days. Nope more than 2 months later after being lied to many times, they sent partial of order missing at least 2 Anime crates and a few more items. I waited for them to ship the rest and was told if they are out of stock, I will be contacted by them. Now 3 months, still missing crates and more. They replied with a tracking of the partial order and wont do anything about my two expensive crates from the order.....they only shipped me small items. I have filed with the BBB hoping they will send me the rest of my order but I am not holding out for that based on other's experiences.

It's been three months and I've yet to receive the rest of my order. They don't return emails and there is no phone number to reach them at. I've already paid for the items, even already paid the duty charges even. I with they'd just send the items or refund me the cost plus the duty i paid.

Bought 3 months of boxes for my bf's birthday as a trial. Out of 3 boxes in a 3 month subscription one box was damaged, one was late, none of the tracking e-mails were sent unless I asked why I hadn't received them and one box never turned up at which point they made ME call around looking for the thing. In the end it took me two months and a ridiculous amount of e-mails to get a refund. Overall the customer service was poor, sometimes they replied to my messages about completely different issues so they obviously don't read them very carefully. Furthermore they didn't tell me they would be charging me for a further 3 months, I actually checked the welcome e-mail they sent me as I saved it and it's nowhere on there. In fact they didn't even send me an invoice for the money I paid in the first place. I did get this back fairly quickly though, I'm wondering if they knew they shouldn't have tbh. Overall it was a TERRIBLE experience. I've honestly never dealt with such a terrible company before. Avoid like the plague.

I ordered multiple items back on 7/21/17. When I emailed them 3 weeks later I was told that the warehouse was really backed up but the order would be shipped by the end of August. Gave them the benefit of doubt and let it be till the 12th of September. Emailed them on the 12th and was told they would look into the issue.... No response back and I am on the verge of disputing the charges with my bank for no product received! Should have read the reviews before I placed the order.

"Ordering was confusing, it's for a monthly service that offers multiple plan options. One being a one month subscription. This subscription does not end after one month, it continues indefinitely, and is not very clear it will send you recurring charges until the conformation email after you have already made a purchase. Cancelling the subscription is a process that requires to confirm that you are sure multiple times and tries to force you to keep your subscription. The customer feedback survey they offer is broken and does not allow you to submit customer feedback. When I got my tracking number my package did not arrive when it said it would. My package was transferred through two delivery companies, I was not provided a tracking number for the second company and had to track down my own package to see what happened to it. At that time I was informed that my package would be arriving four days later than the tracking number that loot crate provided me. I was unhappy with all of the above and attempted to contact loot crate for a resolution. Loot crate does not have a customer service phone number, online chat or mailing address. The only way to contact them in through a fill-in form that sends them an email which takes hours to get a reply. Their "customer service" was horrific. Honestly if someone just apologized for the inconvenience I would have been fine. Instead customer service blamed me for not reading everything carefully enough, they said that my package was still going to arrive before the deadline on their website so it didn't matter that my package didn't arrive when the tracking number said it would or that I was not provided an accurate tracking number for the second part of my shipping. My complaints about their broken customer service feedback survey was never even replied to or acknowledged. Then customer service scolded me for tracking down my package saying that I was never told to look for my own package, in response to my complaint about having to track down my own package after it was not delivered as expected. Their responses were wrong and incomplete indicating that my messages were skimmed and not really read. When I asked to speak to a supervisor about the customer service. The supervisor ignored my questions about their customer service and indicated she was no longer interested in helping me. To be honest I would have let the stuff that happened go if customer service was decent but they made it so much worse. This company is a joke no wonder it’s failing."

Well I ordered $30 of stuff from the vault where the disclaimer says to allow up to 14 business days for shipping... Over a month later, I've been offered a refund minus a 20 percent restocking fee, and a 30 percent discount off my NEXT order, when I've inquired about my (still) unfulfilled order. They assure me they are understaffed and working overtime to fulfill backed up orders, but can't offer me anything, including an ETA. I'm pretty sure this is a scam to collect restocking fees for profit. Buyer beware.

What went wrong? What went right I ask myself? Nothing. Not one thing was handled properly by this company. Ordered my product at THE END OF JUNE! I ordered once with Loot Crate before and had no issues and it was the perfect gift for a Rick and Morty fan who's birthday was July. Well, lo and behold, no shipping information was sent. Chased it up in August and they said issues with shirts. Sorry for the delay. Expect shipping by 15th August. That came and went, then it was "expect shipping by the end of the week." Well of course that came and went, then it was "expect shipping information from the 8th to the 31st of September". You've gotta be kidding me? Pretty sure my friend thinks I'm lying I even ordered him a present so many months ago because this customer service is such a joke it's almost like I'm weaving the most elaborate lie I could muster. Thats not all: they gave me a $5 refund when they missed the 15th August date, and apparently sent out an email offering $10 for Loot Vault as compensation. Well that email was never sent to me, merely copied and pasted in a cusomer service email with the code omitted. I actually laughed at how poorly they have thought it all through. I sent an email back saying I would like proper compensation that would not require me to deal with this company again. Why would I want another $10 to spend on their site again? I probably wouldn't see the damn order until December 2020 by the way they send out items. All customer service is ran from international countries with broken English which makes the whole company seem less legitimate by the second. Anyway to top it all off, I suddenly get a full refund from PayPal! Great I thought. Except they have literally told me (after I asked for compensation for the delay not Loot Vault credits) "We have ran out of July items. Sorry. Here's a refund". You're kidding me? You are actually joking right? So you take my money, keep me waiting for two months to tell me you ran out? The full email I recieved is below. They have completely wasted two months of my time. It is shocking. I was gob smacked that they are actually still in business. How they can take people's money and then just tell then two months after that they have simply ran out is beyond me. Do not use this company. Hi Natalie, We do apologize for the inconvenience. It seems like the crate was not shipped out due to a warehouse error. Unfortunately, we already ran out of any July Crate/Items. I have refunded you for the crate. Please allow 2-5 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. You may use this code for a $10 Loot vault credit. Once again, we apologize for what have happened. James C. Loot Crate - Customer Support (Ps I have been told three different stories as to why my crate was never shipped - first they had ran out of T-Shirts, second was just "an issue" and lastly it was a "warehouse error". If you're going to lie to me at least make it consistent.)

I just wanted to warn people about buying from www.lootcrate.com - they are very shady and unethical, and should not be trusted. They are a USA-based vendor out of California and focus on pop-culture themed goodie boxes. This is not a review of their products, but of their service and business conduct. I placed an order in mid-July. After waiting a month and a half for the items to ship (because they are "busy"), I received two tracking numbers. My orders were ~$17 and ~$12 respectively, plus shipping. I paid in full via PayPal. When I received the tracking number (Canada Post) it indicated the order was shipped COD requesting $17 and $14 for each package on delivery. Given the orders were already paid in full, I was concerned. Upon contacting LC they provided the below responses. Best I can interpret is that they are trying to pass along their additional costs to me. After checking out I should only be responsible for the amount they collect (which should cover all their costs), and potentially duty/taxes by the courier as it enters Canada, which will be paid to and collected by the carrier. This COD fee is quite clearly a cash grab in addition to the invoice amount. If I am not mistaken, this is the equivalent of Best Buy or any other retailer shipping your items after you pay then demanding a COD fee because their product actually cost them more when they imported it this time round. Watch out, these guys are a bunch of crooked scumbags. Here are some updates. They are trying to charge me a COD fee to collect my item as it cost them "additional costs" to get the items. I have never had such a terrible experience in taking well over a month to actually ship the item, then try to charge me additional fees and try to pass it off as "duty" on my end. George N. (Loot Vault) Aug 29, 7:33 AM PDT Hi - The COD charge in question is a VAT fee imposed by customs and the shipping vendor and was not included as part of the charge billed at the time of purchase. This happens occasionally with some Loot Vault items and I do apologize for this confusion and inconvenience. The charge itself is not an issue usually with orders tied to Loot Crate subscriptions; we are able to offer reimbursements for these fees when imposed on a shipment from a subscription because the VAT fee is 'built' into the membership fee billed to you as part of your subscription plan. This is not a part however of the individual purchase price billed on purchases made on the Loot Vault gift site. This is likewise noted on the Loot Vault site under the "How It Works" section. I'm very sorry for the confusion and any inconvenience or frustration it has caused; unfortunately we are not able to control how strict customs agencies will be in any country nor the fees they may impose on incoming shipments. For future orders if you do not wish to pay this fee you can refuse the shipment and it will be returned to us; once received at our warehouse our returns team can issue a refund for the cost of your order back to you. I can assure you we are working every day to improve this process and I have forwarded your comments to our management and shipment teams for additional review and consideration as we continue to develop a resolution for this specific issue with Loot Vault orders. Once again our apologies; please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Thank you. George N. Loot Vault- Customer Support Lootcrate.com/help George N. (Loot Vault) Aug 30, 7:22 AM PDT Hi - I'm sorry to hear this. I assure you my reply was in no way intended to suggest or imply anything other than to provide as much information about this matter as possible. My apologies if my previous message was not received in the manner it was intended. Unfortunately, we do not pay the COD charges up front; the charges are assessed by our Carrier as they pass through customs and then those costs are passed along to you the Looter. My sincerest apologies that this was not made clear on the Loot Vault site. We are always looking to improve the Looter experience, and I will make sure to pass along your feedback to our management, fulfillment and shipment teams respectively. As indicated however this is not a fee imposed by Loot Crate but rather one determined by the shipping vendor making the delivery to you. If you do not wish to pay this fee, as noted you are welcome to refuse the shipment and once received at our warehouse we can issue a refund for the original order to you at that time. Once again my apologies for this misunderstanding; please let me know if I can assist with any other questions or concerns about your order. Thank you. George N. Don't know how this company has more than 1 star - given all the other reviews. Three weeks after I paid for my July Crate as a gift for a friend's birthday and I am still waiting for my shipping information, let alone my actual Crate.

This company was great until this year. Since January 2017 they haven't been able to send anything on time. I had subscriptions for 6 different boxes or Bundles. I received one at least 2 weeks late every month because of some issue in their wear house. I have now cancelled all of them and I've been a customer for 2 years. They still haven't even mailed out the April Loot Wear Risky Business Bundle and it's July. The only people who have received it are the reviewers that get them free. Their customer service is crap. The only thing they can say is oops we are working on it and haven't given your complaint to the warehouse. They don;t care and aren't doing anything to fix it. DO NOT BUY
