Worst travel company I have ever come across... I have had a very dark and depressing few years, with a lot of family stresses including health being a real negative factor. With my mum. Fighting cancer, going through chemo and my dad battling diabetes, having both his legs chopped off. I booked a holiday in April with love holidays and in August they went and cancelled the whole holiday. I contacted them and said why did you do this? They said they are sorry and that I should use the website and book it again?? I went online and I saw the holiday but it was £1200 more expensive and the luxury swim up room was no longer available. I had booked individually with my 5 of my friends and I was the instigater for the holiday but I got done bad. They said they can not do anything else for me. Not even offer me a discount. But then could book me a standard room in the hotel at a more expensive rate than I paid for the swim up. I explained my concerns above and how the holiday is needed for my mental well being and it was ignored. I am gutted I have booked multiple holidays with them. I would never use them again even if I had to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Now I know that sometimes it's the individual who ruins a companies reputation but in this case its a collective experience from multiple agents that has ruined my whole year and sent me back to my dark days.... I Hope they use this particular experience and better them selves. Its not nice feeling the way I am because of a company that's supposed to make you love holidays!

Please don’t use them! Booked a weekend break in Milan primarily because of flight time from Liverpool. Was paying in instalments. Four weeks later flight was changed to five hours later on return. Couldn’t get back to work on time. Tried to contact them but only on sms to foreign call centre. Told was airlines fault. Then got email from Ryan air to say refund given for flights. This is mysteriously sent to love holidays and not to me. Trying to contact again but again not their fault. Alternative flights are no good as it’s a weekend break so I have the option of cancelling but costing me£180 for the privaledge. I booked the break as a package because of the great flights but this has changed and they can’t provide this so why can’t I get my money back. Absolute rubbish and they aren’t even in ABTA now. Not surprising. Don’t trust them and do not use.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. The holiday was a disaster from start to finish. LoveHolidays make it impossible for you to seek help or make a complaint. Myself and my partner are extremely unhappy with our experience over the last week. We booked this holiday in April, five months prior to the departure date. The holiday was a disaster from start to finish. To begin with, upon arriving to the hotel at 1/2am we were greeted by front desk (not a warm welcome at all). We gave our names for the booking to the man at front desk who then walked off without saying a word and another man appeared instead. He smiled and said ‘we have a problem for you’, so I thought he was joking due to the big grin on his face. He then proceeded to tell us that we had no room in the hotel we booked five months earlier. They had made a mistake on their end and we would not have a room until the following day. This was confusing due to the fact that other people on the same flight had a room without issue. He took our passports and copied them. Told us to sign form then pointed to a man and gestured for us to follow him for ‘spare room’. We naturally assumed this meant a spare room in the hotel until ours became available. We followed this man outside the hotel and told to get in a car, no logo for the hotel, with grain in the boot. He did not say one word to us and began driving away from the hotel. When we asked where he was taking us he said ‘sorry’ then mumbled in Turkish. We genuinely thought we were being trafficked. We arrived at the Phoenix Sun Hotel and approached front desk to not even be greeted. The man eventually said ‘Passport’ and stuck out his hand. He eventually told us a room number and nothing else so we began walking to find the room to be shouted at and told to stay put. Eventually someone came out to show us to our room. The room was not clean, the sheet wasn’t anywhere near big enough to fit the mattress, the toilet was filthy. We had been no information whatsoever regarding if we could have breakfast in the morning, where we were going in the morning, if we would be picked up and taken to the correct hotel. Nothing at all. When we woke up we went straight back to reception to request to be taken to the correct hotel. They said ‘10am’. We attempted to get some breakfast which was short-lived given the poor choice. We then had to ask front desk 4 times to contact our hotel and arrange for us to be taken back to our correct hotel. We were rudely shrugged off 3 times until the front desk man decided he would call Riva Bodrum. At 10:45, 45 minutes late, we were picked up by Riva Bodrum. Once we arrived to our hotel, we were shown to our room which was not as advertised at all, pictures speak for themselves. However due to the absolute nightmare that had already taken place and taken up much of our first day, we chose to let it go and try and get on with our holiday. The hotel was not as clean as it should have been. Fast forward to the final day which caused the most stress I have ever felt on a ‘holiday’. We contacted front desk to find out what time our PRIVATE TRANSFER, that we paid extra money for, would be collecting us. We were told to check a paper on the counter for our names on a list. To really go with the theme of the holiday, our names were not on the list. Front desk were helpful as ever and said ‘if your name is not on the list you have no transfer’. I went back to my room to get my booking details from my room and returned to front desk. He looked blankly at the phone and called over a colleague who then said ‘ohhh right yes, this company is very very complicated. We have many many problems with these. They do eventually show up but they do not contact us as a hotel to tell us when they will collect guests’. As you can imagine, we found very little comfort or help in this comment. The man told us we needed to go to a website called holiday taxis (even though the transfer company was supposedly called Golden Taxis) to fill out a form, which then returns a pre-populated paragraph stating they are to only be contacted by phone or live chat. There is no live chat function on the website and the phone call wouldn’t connect. The man then told us what you actually have to do is WhatsApp the number, which only someone with inside knowledge would know. So this is what we did, the WhatsApp returns an automatic response too stating it is an emergency contact centre and you must use the website. Going back to the website says again, you must use live chat (which does not exist). We received a response on WhatsApp asking for the passenger name then they confirmed pick up time was 20:45 for our 23:30 flight back to Bristol. All the while we were going back and forth trying to sort out this utter mess we paid extra for, ironically to avoid stress, a rep laughed at our stress and said ‘why try and sort this yourself when you can just ask a rep?’. After I had sorted this out myself I went to advise the rep we didn’t need his help anymore as he still hadn’t gotten any information to help. We had to check out of our room and keep ourselves busy for the day as the flight was in the night. When it came to 20:30 we spoke to two women outside who had been waiting for their transfer since 8pm and who had decided to call a taxi and pay for it themselves because they feared missing their flight (the same flight as ours). We then began feeling concerned as 20:45pm seemed to be cutting it fine for a 23:30 flight, gates close at 23:00 and the journey from the hotel was 45 minutes. It came to 20:45 and no news from the transfer. I what sapped to ask for an update to which they said ‘checking status of driver’. I continued to message until 21:05 to be totally ignored. We had to book a taxi which we had to pay for and we barely made it to the gate in time to board. I spent the last part of our holiday crying in a taxi thinking we would be stuck in the nightmare that seemed to never end which was this holiday. I could not be more disappointed in the service I have received from Loveholidays, I will never use you as a holiday provider again. Every aspect LoveHolidays have been involved with in this holiday has been a shambles. I have tried to ask for support in how to make a complaint to be responded to in a nonsensical sentence. LoveHolidays' policy not to allow customers to make a complaint until 48 hours after they have returned home is quite frankly wrong. The 'post travel query box' only allows 300 characters which is also utterly wrong.

I am disgusted i had booked a holiday to go on 24th September 2022 and 6 hours before my flight it got cancelled. We were offered a refund but that for me is not acceptable so near to departure. They did not even refund us the insurance we had taken out with them either. I will be taking this further as i have taken time of work and was all packed ready today. Will never love holidays again or wizz air

Thieves! Scammers! Everything they were involved in went to pot! Shocking support and help. Their best department is accounts with taking your money. Not great at repaying it though.

Booked a private villa with private pool. Very excited, on arrival find that we are in a bungalow apartment on a complex? Loveholidays no help at all, despite screenshots of the entire booking process (As we always do!) they insist we did not book the private villa (Paid for it though?) There is a reason they are no longer members of ABTA - book at your own risk.

Blaming myself firstly for not reading reviews on the hotel loveholidays sent me to but boy were my eyes open once I looked at trip advisor. Loveholidays are still sending ppl here knowing full well how dirty and disgusting the Aegean Park Hotel Marmaris is. Contacted loveholidays very unhelpful customer service is diabolical. We were charged £40 to change rooms out of a stinking sweaty box room which stinks of sewage. This place has not been cleaned in a long long time trust me. Beds filthy rooms filthy. Electrics hanging off walls. Absolute death trap. Ceiling in shower leaking through lights. Food disgusting half cooked. Same food out morning noon and night. Never wipe tables. Toilet smell is unbelievably bad. All inc is a joke we couldn’t eat a thing it was so dirty. My daughter cried every day. Receptionist very rude and also overcharged us for the room change and refused us a receipt until the manager (who refused to even speak to us) approved it. Loveholidays contacted the hotel who denied the whole monstrosity and loveholidays basically went with their side of story was offered £50 refund for the room change and was told if I accept that would be case closed as far as they were concerned. Indeed it is not. I’ve contacted a legal representative as I have pics of everything, phone numbers of other ppl and will take this further. Rep turns up at midday on day I was checking out to see me. What good is that I’m ready to leave now. Terrible terrible holiday from start to finish. Local shop owners and vendors are well aware of this hotels bad reputation but loveholidays continue to send unsuspecting holiday makers here. It’s just not on we are just coming out of a worldwide pandemic but yet these ppl clean nothing. I’m being ignored now by loveholidays but hey ho I’ll take it down the legal route instead. SHAME ON YOU LOVEHOLIDAYS. Taking peoples money and then doing nothing when there’s a problem. I would say 95% of folk there were not happy. Nobody cares as they already have your money. I’ll never use this company again

Like talking to ghost, unable to contact them other than chat, booking was booked wrong and had to pay £300 to rectify...never using this Loveholidays again, no customer care or compassion, just interested in taking the money off you.

The prices of holidays are cheaper then other online travel agents, but.... you will pay big price after if you choose them. Customer servise is just horrible. Impossible to get through to them. Also, when you connect to them , they very unhelpful and rude. Problem we had: 1. We couldn't get the conformation of the trip for around 2 weeks. And they wasn't responding in the chat. You have to be like 50-70s in the queue minimum. But if you close the window, chat will disappear. So you have to start again 2. My friends have upgrated the room and paid more. They got the same standart room. They didnt get compensation even they talked to advisers. The hotel didn't have those rooms at all. So they were selling something that doesnt exist. 4. I paid for the transfer. And it just haven't come to pick me up. I was there very early. The receptionist was watching for my transfer. No one turned up. They had to get signuture at reception. No one turned up. The hotel called the 3 times to explain that they have cameras and no one turned up. They just blocked the hotel number! I sent them a complain , still waiting for the respond for 2 month now.

Further to my last review three weeks ago I have gone to small claims court . Love holidays were given 14days to respond they have now asked for a further 14 days. I have all the evidence even a letter from the hotel to say that they failed to pay so my booking was canceled .i tried to speak to their investors livingbridge who would not comment .for six months I have tried to be reasonable .love holiday should not be in business they should be investigated ..BE WARNED they are in trouble ,,,,,,,,

We paid for full board , but there was nothing was edible to eat , so wasted £400 for nothing & spent £400 eating out for breakfast & tea. also we paid nearly £200 extra to upgrade to a double room so our 15/16 yr old daughter had her own privacy. When we arrived we were told there are no double rooms , which meant we had to share a tiny room with 3 single beds side by side , not what you want when travelling with partner & daughter. Will never book with love holidays again after this. If you have a problem there is know direct contact number , the numbers shown just ring & ring until a message says please email …I’m back from holiday now & I still haven’t had any reply about a refund for the upgraded room that we never had. Also the room was full of ants crawling over us all night , it Ruined our holiday & caused more stress than ever , I will never book with love holidays again it was one of the worst experiences of going on holiday in my entire lifetime , FALSE ADVERTISING AND UNBEARABLE BAD COMMUNICATION.

DISGUSTING HOTEL VERIFIED BY LOVE HOLIDAYS AS 4 STAR. I have now arrived home in the UK. I need this moving to senior management right now. As I am now filing for a full refund. You put me in a supposedly 4 star hotel. The HTOP. ROYAL SUN HOTEL in Santa Susanna. This is not a 4 star hotel, I would not let a stray dog sleep in that hotel, or its rooms. The sheer ignorance from the hotel, and the audacity to think, and even imply that it was acceptable for me and my young child to sleep in them conditions was completely disgusting. The room smelled of mold, amonia, damp, and urine could also be smelled. The air con did not work at all, nor did half the hotel in fact. We had to keep window open constantly. The noise from outside, and the heat, I had no sleep for nearly 48 hours. I ended up putting the mattress on the floor, but did no good. I spent the rest of the holiday catching up on sleep. You and your incompetence ruined our holiday. Water was pouring in from the above swimming pool into the reception area, the all inclusive started at 10 am, and finished at 11pm. If you needed a drink before or after them times you was charged. The dinning room had no aircon at all, no windows, the heat was unbearable, you just sat there and sweat. It was horrendous. This holiday took me over 4 months to save for, and pay for. Might I also add I am disabled and on benefits. This was no easy task to save that money, as I went with out food at home some months. I even telephoned the hotel some two weeks before the trip, and explained to the hotel staff this was the very first holiday abroad with my only child. I hold you LOVEHOLIDAYS fully accountable for selling this holiday to me. I even telephoned your overseas number at 4a.m in the morning. I arrived at the hotel just gone 11.30 the perilous evening. I asked if a Love holidays agent could come and view the hotel and rooms, and flatly refused to do so. the room was filthy, the bath was cracked and just filled in with putty. The smell of mould was overpowering. The picture of pipe work with mould and rotting food was the last straw. How bloody dare you put me and my child into an establishment like that. Trust me when I say this, if I not given a full refund, I will smear you all over watch dog. Because I am absolutely disgusted. I am now seeking a full refund. The flights, the transfers, the seat allocations. This has cost me nearly £1500 to sleep in a place not fit for a dog, I have seen cleaner dog boarding kennels. I have been in accommodation in Rhyl for £25.00 a night better than this place. I have pictures to back this up as well. Shame I cannot upload here. They ask to allow for 56 days to investigate, but banks are restricted on the amount of time between time of sale and a dispute for money back claims. I however am not waiting for there investigation, as I have proof what they sold me was a steaming pile of s#%*e as I have pictures, and lots of them. But look at my avatar above, that's one of the pictures from the hotel room. I have now started a dispute with my bank directly. Atoll are useless, and love holidays was kicked out of ABTA, or removed. Not good. BOYCOTT NOW. There reply below just now, sums up what they are about. GOD DAM JOKE. DO NOT USE THEM EVER!!!! Not impressed at all. I was due to fly out to Greece with a friend of mine. However, due to unforeseen circumstances of my Grandmother passing suddenly before we leave, I was unable to attend. I explained this to loveholidays, and said I understand you cannot change the flights but are you able to change the booking name at the hotel to my friend's name (who I was supposed to go with) - as she was going to be going with her boyfriend now. The operator I spoke to was very rude and they said they could not do it and I would have to cancel the whole holiday and rebook. To be quite honest I didn't understand what the big deal was? All they had to do was confirm to the hotel a change of name. NOTHING ELSE CHANGED, there would still be 2 people in the room, everyone would still get their money, I just couldnt attend and had to change the name on the hotel booking. I am utterly shocked and will not be using loveholidays at all. No compassion for the people they deal with.

Booking efficient, I paid for a transfer from airport to hotel, they did not turn up and did not answer the phonenumber I was supplied with . I had to Arrange my own transfer. I have being requesting a refund for the non turn up of transfer I have not recieved my refund for the transfer todate. Communication is very poor from loveholidasys regarding this matter I have 2 other holidays booked with the company in coming months, you think they would be trying to sort this matter asap to show good customer service This is very disappointing

Booked a holiday nearly a year ago. Flight was cancelled which was not loveholidays fault. They told me to contact the airline myself and arrange a refund direct to them, which I did. They have offered an alternative flight but this is very expensive so I have declined and asked for a full refund. I have been advised that they will not return the the flight price and charge me a cancellation fee even though they cannot supply the holiday booked. I have stated I would consider an alternative destination but nothing suggested or offed. All this by “live chat” which is difficult. Awful, awful company. I feel scammed

Dear customer service team, I will describe a situation which happened to me regarding my booking and it was very disappointing and disrespectful with a customer. I had a booking for a trip to Palma de Mallorca - Spain, I'd be going on 10/09 from London-Luton and returning on 14/10 to the same airport. I was going by myself and my husband, we've been waiting for this holiday for a long time because we had a very busy year so far. Booking LOV3586184U Although, we don't expect that unforeseen happens, and on 01/09/2010 my husband had to go through an emergency operation in which he removed an abscess from his chest. We still thought our trip was going to happen because we were 9 days far away from it, but after the operation he's been told he should go to his GP for a few days in a row to change the bandages and clean the wound because he didn't have any stitches and the wound was completely opened, so he was booked until the 9th of september, however, as soon as we were approaching the date the wound wouldn't seemed to be healing so one of the nurses advised him on 08/09 not to go to Spain because he would have to continue his visits to the GP daily for the next 2 or 3 weeks so I started to run to see how could we move our travel further in 3 weeks, ideally in the first week of October. I contacted Loveholidays on the same day to request only a simple changing of dates,I wouldn't cancel, only moving my hotel reservation and transfer for 3 weeks ahead due to my husband's circumstances , I've read the contract, I knew about the 5 days before the travel but I was not expecting to have an issue in the last minute so I explained all the situation, I offered to send all the documents regarding his surgery and I was expecting at least a little bit of consideration, empathy and kindness but nothing was done to help me and I was informed I would lose all the money I spent in this travel. I know the rules, I know the company's policies, I am not a first time traveler but It was not my choice to change the plans at the last minute, and it was not our fault as well. What's the cost for a big company like yours to make a little bit of an effort to help a customer to change the dates or to cancel my trip and give me a voucher or whatever, I didn't need my money back because I'm still going to travel, I always wanted to visit Mallorca. It's a total disrespect. And for a customer who was concerned about all the plans, and all the money already spent, it's a lot to lose. It was unfair. The operator gave me any choice, only said I would not be able to change or to get the refund. Practically, I've been told I put around £1000 straight to the bin. Now I ask you, was it fair? Could we have imagined this was going to happen? I am only asking for more respect with your customers and to make exceptions when it is needed. And I'll do whatever it takes for my experience to reach as many people as possible so everyone can be aware of how insensitive and non-empathetic the travel agencies can be. yours sincerely, Cristiane Peroni Ribeiro

I booked a holiday to Greece our flight got changed by Ryanair which was booked through love holidays. Love holiday proceeded to tell us we could not change our hotel dates, they did not help us find an alternative, they were not able to reimburse us for the 3 days we would no longer be at the hotel due to our flight changes. What started off a cheap holiday has ended up costing us a fortune. No point in booking through love holiday might as well book it all separately yourself as no support at all and a nightmare to get through to speak to anyone!

I booked my holiday this year with Love holidays as I have previously. Our holiday was to Santa Susanna and our flight was with Tui. On the 16 th of August we received an email to tell us that our flight from Birmingham had been unfortunately changed to Manchester!! We had to get a taxi to Manchester airport due to health reasons also being disabled. The cost of the return taxi was £340!!! Whereas Birmingham being nearer to where we lived would if cost £110 return. We were given no reason to it changing. We thought maybe the flight had been cancelled but found out it hadn’t been!! I have contacted TUI and they are saying that it iLove Holidays responsibility and we should write to them. I’m very annoyed as it’s an expense we didn’t need as well as a longer journey. I will not be using Love holidays again and I wouldn’t recommend them .

Hell!!! Booked a holiday for a week in Turkey. The pictures we saw turned out to be another hotel. Hotel Faro. We booked Munamar but the photos were if Faro. FALSE ADVERTISING!! SCAM!! We booked a 2 bed we got a room for myself partner and 2 children. No bedding. We froze at night as air con in but without boiling. Dirty rooms. Old and so badly in need of updating! Claimed to be a 4star was never a 4 star more like a 1 star. Nobody would help us. Love holidays ignored our emails. Everytime we try to speak to a person we get a bot. All inclusive food was cold and the same slop daily. Food covered in flies. No kids food. Advertised kids club there wasn't one. The pool was filthy. Literally the holiday from hell and the worst of it is they false advertised the holiday. We want a refund and of course they don't want to play ball!!!
