Luckily I was able to go away before the coronavirus! However... I rang them 3 days into my holiday to complain after speaking with reception At the accommodation, I had several issues with the hotel that I passed on! Today I received an email after emailing them again 47 days after my original call to ask what was happening, to receive an email back saying my case was closed as I didn’t speak to reception at the hotel! I was there every morning for the first 3 days then I called love holidays. So they have now closed the case with no offer of any refund. Nothing. This was and is the worst holiday I have ever experienced They are the worst company I have ever dealt with, avoid avoid avoid.

I had a reservation with them that has been canceled and in the only communication I have received from them so far they only give me the option dates. It is true that the reservation was not originally refundable if it were canceled by me. However, the reservation was canceled by the hotel itself, due to the restrictions imposed by its gibben due to the Covid 19. They are therefore obliged to return it. I am also aware that the hotel in question is returning the reservation in cases like mine. I booked myself at the same hotel for another leg of my trip, through another agency, and it has been returned to me. Love holidays is committing a serious irregularity, offering me no alternative but to change the dates of my trip, protected by the difficulties they put in contacting them directly. This behavior is close to and it damages the uk brand. Never contract with this company. They are thiefs. I request the maximum diffusion

I booked my hotel with my my meagre savings and being self employed I now have no income until June 2020. I explained this to love holidays just before they took out their final payment. They actually cancelled my holiday and then took out the final payment. It was for hotel only booking with them. I contacted the hotel before they shut and they claimed that love holidays don’t pay them until the hotel stay is over. I would have happily paid a cancellation fee for to help contribute towards their costs but even that was refused. They took their money anyway

@DO NOT USE TOTAL CON. Booked a week in April for me and my disabled son and everything was fine then Corona happened. I was meant to travel in 16th and tried to cancel weeks before. I tried emailing and live chat which is a joke. They also said they wouldn't take any balance left as holiday had been cancelled. Then low and behold they go into my bank account and take my last 300. They will take your money in a heart beat but you can't contact them surely shutting down all your phone lines is illegal. Now me and my family could use the money as we're not working now due to the crisis but can't get it back from love holidays. The only good thing to come out of this is love holidays will fail and go bust and if I need to loose my money then for this it's week worth it good night love holidays please put the light out before you leave theifing scumbags

We booked a 4 night stay in Feb 2020 travelling to Marakesh for some winter sun. We booked all-inclusive and travelled from Gatwick. The Riad we had booked was advertised as 5 star all-inclusive and called the Amiran Spa. Upon arrival were quite disappointed with the overall state of the place and were also advised that no alcoholic drinks were included plus the provision of food was very limited. This was more like a 3 star bead and breakfast. So we spent a lot more eating out and having to pay for drinks.Upon return to the UK, we complained to Love holidays and even opened a dispute through "Resolver" and ABTA - both of which came to nothing as LoveHolidays just "stone walled" and did not respond. Never again with Love Holidays!!

Love hoildays your customer service is dreadful. You can not even reply to my emails. Live chat is a joke. And you seem to refund people as you please. Feel free to contact me. These questions are not relevant as I have not had a refund. And I can’t get anyone to reply.

The airline contacted me to say my flight has been cancelled due to the coronavirus. Loveholidays have not been in contact. On the loveholidays website they say to let them know if your flight is cancelled. I tried on 'manage my account' but the options are not what I want or need. They only offer a useless refund credit note or change dates of holiday. Absolutely no mention of a refund. I have emailed loveholidays three times but not had a response. I have tried calling them. No luck. The chat live is never available. I am owed over three thousand pounds for a family of four holiday to spain. I will not let them keep my money. They have broken the contract. Not me. I made the mistake of paying in full. Never again. And never again will I use Loveholidays. Other companies are giving refunds - so the law has not changed. Come on Loveholidays.....Give people their money back. You are breaking the law. Just remember when we can travel again (and who knows when that will be) you will lose a lot of customers due to the way you have handled this coronavirus situation.

absolutely crazy that In a time where the whole world is basically shutdown and struggling for money that when you can’t go on holiday this company charge you a £75 fee plus £15 transaction fee , so basically at no fault of my own I just lost £90. Have tried calling to speak to someone for past 10 days and had no answer when holding for 45mins. Thank you love holiday for nothing Rory kitchen

Was due to fly on Sunday 19th. I thought I would get a curtesy call regarding the cancellation of our holiday-Ryanair have already offered a full refund - I kept checking their web site and on the 17th they had a link for a Credit Note voucher - no offer of a cash refund. I will be requesting a refund in due course, glad I wasn’t abroad with this company as not convinced they would be there for you in a crisis.

Company are refusing to give refunds only vouchers despite the fact that parts of the holiday monies related to a taxi transfer and flight that is being refunded to them from Ryan Air never once asked if we needed the money due to financial hardship just said they were allowed to give a voucher and that is what they were doing. Appalling customer service will never be booking with then again and would advise others to avoid them at all costs

I will not write a review describing my opinion of Love Holidays service but merely state facts. I booked a holiday to Dominican Republic Punta Cana for my family and to get married from May 21st- May 29th 2020. I selected pay via direct debit monthly. UK government advised against all but essential travel. That means no carrier or tour operator would consider fulfilling flights even if you still wished to go as it is a term with legal and insurance ramifications. I tried to call Love Holidays. I had around £700 outstanding due to be paid in March/April in two final installments. Each time I called the number was not available. I contacted Love Holidays via Facebook. No response. I called everyday. The number simply was not working. I tried to contact Love Holidays by Live Chat on the website but it appeared nowhere on the website. I lost my bank card (along with a now useless Odeon Cinema Pass) and my subsequent March payment did not go through. Within 24 hours I received a text saying I must pay immediately or risk having my holiday cancelled. Love Holidays called me and told me I must pay immediately or again risk having my holiday canceled with no refund. I said I would pay online as soon as I returned from work. I then said I have some questions about what would be happening with the holiday. The adviser's response was we take payments we don't give assistance. After I complained that I could not contact Love Holidays he offered to transfer me to customer services but instead cut me off. Love Holidays then started to update website and phone message saying customer services on telephone are no longer available. The explanation being Live Chat is faster in dealing with queries (typing messages quicker than verbal communication). Then a message read on their website that Live Chat will disappear when there are too many customers trying to use. As of now, and despite checking every day, I have never been able to access Live Chat. A generic message appeared on website advising you to check with Air Carrier if flight is cancelled, then inform Love Holidays via Manage My Booking that your flight has been cancelled. My Air Carrier will only deal with booking agent as per their policy. I am also concerned that if you select to cancel your own flight rather than the tour operator (ATOL/ABTA protected) cancelling due to not being able to fulfill would have a real impact on rights. The structure of the response management system is a funnel. You cannot ask your rights or your options and instead have radio silence and a simple set of instructions that lead to dead ends with only doorways open that end up transferring responsibility to the customer to cancel their own holiday as opposed to Love Holidays legally cancelling through inability to deliver paid for holiday. I have some additional reservations about their position (stated on social media) that they will first offer a credit note. A credit note would not automatically contain ABTA/ATOL protection and acceptance of a credit note may legally dissolve ABTA/ATOL protection should Love Holidays become insolvent. In addition through investigation I have observed Love Holidays are still advertising heavily on Google Adwords and accepting new bookings for the current no flight window. That coupled with instant request to pay after lost card meant missed payment is food for thought. In summary.................All inbound communication has been cut off (no telephone, email, social media messaging answered or responded to). Live Chat remains the only advised method of contact but is by own admission becomes unavailable should too many use. Funnel system directs customers to cancel own holiday and communicate with Air Carrier impacting their rights as preferred method rather than Love Holidays fulfilling legal duty to inform customers when they cannot fulfill and refund. Instead of issuing refund Love Holidays are offering a credit note (ignore fact it might not entitle you to same holiday as when Co Vid 19 over demand will soar and credit note may only cover part of cost of same/similar holiday) but acceptance of a credit note could remove your protections ABTA/ATOL and part of which would be insurance should Love Holidays become insolvent. I don't know legality of the actions of Love Holidays but the ethics and intent are highly questionable. Customers may face possibility of legal action and/or official complaints to trading standards which is what I am about to instigate now.

I have a holiday booked with Lh on 27th may , I already had an email from Ryanair asking me to change my flight date they said it’s free to exchange but if the flight is dearer then we would have to pay the difference, we declined , we then spoke to lh they said if the holiday is cancelled we won’t lose our money we will get a credit note and if we don’t use it we will get a refund there has been no talk about people not getting refunds they didn’t know what I was talking about , silly people it’s all Over social media how bad they are , we paid on a credit card so hopefully we will get our money back that way , lh also said if we receive money back from Ryanair tell Ryanair to send it to lh then they will refund us , lol That’s not going to happen

Would never book with this company again, disgraceful way to treat customers, they have broken my contract with them and refused to refund but only offer a voucher/future booking even though the UK has clearly advised AGAINST any unnecessary future travel indefinitely!! everyone is scared to book for anything in the future and who knows what the future holds not to mention it has been made clear that a vaccine will not be available for around 1 year and social distancing could be in place for a long time to come!! really Loveholidays!! get your act together, with holding people's money and holding people to ransom will NOT get you future business and I read that if you take a future voucher you are no longer covered by ABTA which would mean if the company goes into Administration you have lost your money anyway. I have tried so many times various ways to try and get someone to deal with my refund but their staff are definitely sticking to a script and if they don't like how the conversation is going they cut you off!! People are losing their jobs and struggling to keep their heads above water not to mention their families and keep them safe and need their refunds now to survive, do the right legal thing, the rules have not changed!! maybe you need to be watching MARTIN LEWIS Loveholidays!!! dishonest, disgraceful, disappointing.

Avoid at all costs. Dishonest and disgraceful company. Fraudulently took a further £1200 from my account 15 days ‘after’ they cancelled my holiday, when I’m legally entitled to a full refund within 14 days. You can now only contact them on live chat, they avoid answering my questions and cut me off. They continually lie about the law and have tried to fob me off, saying I’m not entitled to any money back (even though they will get the flights and accommodation refunded). Do not use them. Ever.
