“I ordered a hinged bath / shower screen. The screen was delivered within a couple of days, I was really pleased with the quality of the product at an exceptional price. I will definitely use Matalan again next time I need something for my bathroom”

“Called the customer services before placing my order, and they promptly and clearly answered a couple of questions. My heated towel rail was delivered in just a couple of days, well packaged and undamaged. It was easy to fit, with clear instructions and looks absolutely beautiful in my bathroom. “Really competitive prices on Hudson Reed. Just wish their catalogue was even bigger. Dispatch and communications are excellent. the courier they used was awful and arrived a day late which was terrible. The customer service people at Matalan were very good trying to sort them out. If that was better then five stars”

“Great service, ordered and had my product within 2 days and got prompt responses from the company and regular updates about the delivery. Overall, an impeccable service at a great price. If only other companies worked this way. Would definitely recommend them.”

“Prices are reasonable. Deliveries are made on the day given. One of the items I ordered was not available and it took Matalan Direct a few more days than I would have liked for them to tell they did not have it. Initially told the item would be delivered separately and on a later date. Then told they don't have it! Could have told me immediately that they did not have it and I would have made alternative arrangement. I had to get the builder in twice for this.”

Hi Emmanuel, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to learn of the problems that you have experienced with your order. When the order was placed we had received conflicting information regarding the stock levels that we currently held. In each case that we chased our warehouse team to ensure that this product was delivered as soon as possible we were informed that the product was due to be picked and dispatched that. Unfortunately as the warehouse could not locate the product, it was deemed to be out of stock. We update our stock levels on a regular basis throughout the day to ensure that out of stock products are not available to be purchased. It seems that this process did not work as intended and I apologise for this inconvenience that this had caused. “ordered goods on Friday, was promised 'overnight service' - i.e expected delivery Tuesday latest, which was important as was in middle of project. goods did not arrive, and on Thursday I was told 'they were signed for on Wednesday'. They were taken back to delivery depot, and no one was advised. Very poor. cancelled order and arranged to buy elsewhere. Very poor customer care experience.”

Hi Moshe, Sorry to learn of the problems that you have experienced with your order. The order that you placed on the 24th April was dispatched from our supplier on the 27th April, and scheduled for delivery on the 28th April. We aim to have our orders dispatched within 48 hours, and aim for delivery to take place between 3 – 5 working days. At the moment we are do not offer an ‘overnight service’. When your order was received at our local couriers depot, they discovered that the shower enclosure that you had ordered had been damaged. Rather than deliver a damaged order the couriers arranged for this to be sent back to our suppliers and a replacement would be arranged. This was sent back to our suppliers on the 29th April. We are constantly striving for improved communication between our logistical partners and ourselves, in this case we were not informed of any damage until our customer service team contacted our suppliers. Once we were aware of the damaged product we were able to get a replacement organised and would always aim for this to be received as soon as possible. We are constantly seeking ways of improving the services that we offer our customers, and from this will be raising some points within our team and with our partners. “Received sound advice over the phone before ordering online- very helpful. One item missing and one item damaged when order arrived, however very quickly resolved and new goods arrived next day. Superb advice and service. I'd recommend Matalan to anyone.”
