Shocking experience with this company. Ordered 2 North Face jackets online and was charged following successful checkout. Then I receive an email several days later saying one of the items was in fact not in stock, so I was being refunded. In this day and age how hard is it for an eCommerce store to stay on top of inventory and to flag items as out of stock so that buyers are not misled, and duped into paying for products. To top it off I then emailed customer support and here I am, 5 day later, still waiting for a response. Completely hacked off after the whole experience and I won't be throwing any more cash their way.

If only I’d looked at the reviews in here before I placed an order. Ordered a DofE recommended sleep bag and three packet meals for a DofE expedition all seemed great, order taken, money collected from me, over£80, thought it was on its way. Three days later email to say only one packet of food was available. Now no point getting only packet of food plus delivery charge so I cancelled the lot. Spoke to agent they said website hadn’t been updated, it still showed sleeping bag etc was available. Was told I would get refunded. Few days later one food charged at £4 plus’s £3 delivery arrived, useless. The only reason I ordered 3 was buy 3 and third was free so it was way more expense to have one sent to me with delivery. So on the phone I went, eventually assistant agreed to waive this and was told don’t return it. When credit card bill came I had been refunded sleeping bag, one food and delivery but was £20 out of pocket. So another email, days later they will refund only £16 stating I had taken delivery on one food. It is rediculous there are email trails, telephone conversations etc but they can’t resolve it. If I hadn’t of checked my statement I wouldn’t have known any different. I even offered to return the food to the store! Only consolation was I found the same sleeping bag on a specialist site, cheaper! Never using Millets again. Online customer service a joke!

Placed an order on Saturday with DPD premium delivery which promised delivery by Monday. No sign of my delivery and first tried the chat bot on the website which said my order did not exist. Even though i copied and pasted the reference from the my orders section! Had to call them to be told they had no idea why my order had not been despatched but it would be despatched for delivery Tuesday. Received an email at 2:49 am to say that my order had been despatched but tracking was not available. Also received another email to say that 4 of the items were not in stock and had been refunded. Checked on the website and there is indeed a tracking ref but for UK mail evening delivery not DPD. Still no indication of when it will be delivered though just that the carrier has it. Absolutely useless.

Items not delivered. Millets tracker says they sent them to UKMail, UKMail says they didn't receive them. Unable to get any response from any platform having tried email, facebook, phone (which automated system cuts you off). One of the worst customer service system I've ever known. Similar complaints, from many others, going back months and yet still they ignore the problem. Definitely will NEVER order online again. Avoid.

Being disabled, I struggled to the Southport store to buy a North Face Trevail down filled jacket. These were advertised as being in stock at that store for £157.50. Guess what, they were NOT in stock and what's worse, they couldn't even order one for me as the "don't do that one I'm afraid". Pathetic, I'll spend my money elsewhere and stuff them.

Advertising items not available. Ordered three items. All supposed to be in stock. Promised 48 hour delivery. When items were despatched, three working days later it turns out only 2 of the 3 were actually in stock. If I had known this at the time I would not have ordered the items with them. I now have to reorder the other item elsewhere and pay a second delivery charge. Their eBay site also lists the item as being available on a Buy it Now. Items were then not delivered in time scale promised. Because of this I was promised a refund of the delivery charge I paid back to my bank account within 5 days. Guess what? Yep, no refund yet! There must be better outdoor goods suppliers! Buy from them not Millets.

Order for 6 presents placed on 17/12/18, nothing arrived, phone them on 22nd and told nothing has left the warehouse, one item is not available. Nothing arrives and 16 emails are exchanged with Millets.I phoned Millets today and get hung up on 3 times, finally get through to an agent who attempts to resolve the situation but no supervisor is available for me to talk to. I've never had a worse customer experience, not much more I can say.

Awful. When I track the order it says order in the warehouse, 6 days after I placed it. Online bot doesn’t recognise order number. Phone the helpline, get sent round in circles saying the helpline is really busy. Told to enquire through Facebook or twitter, then cut off. Absolutely terrible, should have ordered through Amazon.

BEWARE - ordered a Berghaus jacket online over a week ago for in store delivery & the item has not even been dispatchedb. Unable to track the item online & their customer service department was totally unhelpful & is now not responding to emails. Have had to open a case with PayPal to recover my payment. Absolutely disgraceful service & won’t be buying anything from them again.

Ordered a £50 gift card with a 'next day' special delivery shipment method on Monday morning. Tuesday, receive an email from Millets to advise that DPD will deliver on Wednesday. Come Wednesday, no delivery. Rang DPD and they advised that Millets failed to send them the order. Rang Millets, advised they don't know what happened, however order hasn't been shipped. As a result, we were unable to gift our colleague a present for a send-off. Millets is a total failure. Called their CS and spoke to a manager who said they can't do anything other than to apologise. No compensation, nothing. Ruined our experience as a huge Pharma company and we shall most definitely never use Millets ever again!

I had an issue with billing, and emailed customer care immediately, after a week with no reply, I resent my email, a week further on, I phoned, spent 30 minutes on the phone being told incorrect advice, and that the manager would ring when he started his shift - he didn’t and he sent me a factually incorrect email - to which - guess what..... no response to my reply. Can not complain about the gear, but the customer service is some of the worst I have come across. Deeply disappointed and pretty irate as m6 problem is still not resolved!

Shocking service. I ordered a tent and some other camping gear 8 days ago, their website states delivery within 5 days. I’ve had no updates on the status of my order, when you try and contact anyone you can’t. Call customer service and you get told by automated service that they are currently busy and hangs up. Email and all you get is an automated email reply. Doesn’t look like I’ll be going camping this week after all. Should have gone elsewhere. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I had a horrible experience with Millets. I purchased a pair of Brasher hiking boots at Millets in Peterborough last Summer. I bought them expecting they will serve me for a long time as they were supposed to be designed for the rough conditions of the mountain trails. I was so wrong. Unfortunately a number of shoelace holders popped out in one of the shoes reducing the leg support and making the pair unfit for its purpose. Not to mention currently shoes are visually unpleasant because of it. I was very disappointed with the response I have received from Millets customer care as they claim they have to examine the shoe in person and neither video nor pictures is enough to see that a shoe is almost without sholace holders - everytime I go out one of the remaining sholace holders just fails. I have never had such an issue with shoes before! I am unable to deliver my faulty shoes to the store, because I am outside of the UK. Another suggested option is so unconvenient and uneseccary, which is to send my shoes to Millets via post and pay the cost initially myself (1) one can examine the shoe from good quality pictures and video (2) Millets did not ensure they sell quality shoes in the first place and now I have to spend my time to fix their error.

Horrendous customer service - Yesterday I went to the Millets in York’s city centre regarding a pair of damaged Peter Storm waterproof leather hiking boots I purchased six months ago (still under warranty). I was treated with horrible customer service from Laura, the clerk behind the counter. Two months after purchase the shoes were letting in a bit of water and I had to replace the shoelaces. I dealt with these issues until last week a three-inch section of the shoe separated from the sole around the toe. I brought the shoes in and, without considering the possibility of a faulty product, Laura deemed the damaged a result of my negligence. She said it was “common sense” to clean your boots after each use, which, according to her, entails rinsing off mud, scrubbing the boots (and SOLES) with a TOOTHBRUSH, drying them, then stuffing with newspaper until needed again. I was not informed the boots required such extensive care, and if I were, I would not have purchased them. I might add that I am an avid active hiker, despite my “neglect” other boots have long out lived this pair. Despite the manager being brought in to the conversation, they refused to offer any consolation for the poor quality goods sold in their store. Calling into question my "common sense" is unprofessional, insulting, and offensive. Selling products that require such care also require a disclaimer before purchase (not just promoting their warranty. Despite shopping at Millets often, I will be taking my business elsewhere on account of this terrible service.

garbage. absolutely worst online shopping experience i have had in 20 years of online shopping. and pretty close to worst customer "service". shipped wrong item - barely close to what i ordered. and i am left to go to cost and expense of sending back and then to hope and pray they still have correct item in stock. bought replacement for near twice the price to get away from these people if you value your time and money, shop somewhere else. you won't be satisfied.

Simply the worst experience. Bought 2 fleeces online - one had a fair sized hole where the fabric looked simply vaporised away - damaged right out of the package. provided photo proof, and am now expected to schlep to a store (unsurprisingly there are only a handful across the country) to see an "expert" who will judge if the hole was there when shipped (how??). If I don't fancy a day out travelling to Millets, then I pay tracked postage so it can be shipped to a Millets "expert" to perhaps refund me. The worst customer service for many years. Folks - don't shop here!
