“I love all the meals and recipes so far! Have never had a meal that I didn’t like and it’s great value for money. Makes it easy and stops us from getting so many takeouts. The only thing that bothers me a little is the amount of single use plastic. Mainly with the ice bags I don’t know what to do with them after so have a freezer full of ice bags as can’t bear to put them in trash!”

“I love the convenience and fresh produce that my food bag provides. I would have given a five but there has been a few too many times key ingredients were missing. This however has always been acknowledged and compensated by the great customer service team dealing with your social team.”

“If you have a new baby or a young child or a very busy period of life for whatever reason, myfoodbag is so convenient. Hours saved planning menus, writing shopping lists, and shopping, no time wasted wondering what's for dinner, anyone can cook a meal following their instructions, might even work for teens learning to cook. Much less waste too, everything gets used up and leftovers are all eaten for lunch. We find that 1-2 meals a week on average are really really tasty, a couple are usually decent and no more than one if any we find average. We are gluten dairy and soy free getting a gluten free bag, all recipes so far were easy to modify to be dairy and soy free. Recommend”

“I get the plant based bag. I’m pleased there is this option but please give me more plants - more nutritious greens. I always buy my own spinach or kale to top of the vegetables. I would love a vegan/vegetarian option in the healthier low cal version. The meals are delicious but high calorie.”

“My food bag plant based has been great for us, lots of variety and we love that you can keep the recipes for another time. Our only complaint is that there is never leftovers for lunch and also that there isn’t an option for a 5 or 6 night bag. We had one issue with missing items but the customer service was awesome and so friendly!”

“The fresh food and products arrive in great condition, and the box and product packaging is well thought out for ecology and food safety. The my veggie food bag recipes are delicious, innovative,varrying and creative. A lot of effort has been made to ensure they are fairly quick and easy to prepare. There are always a lot of tasty seasonings. The only recommendation I have,is that often the final recipe instruction on presentation,or bringing the various parts of the meal together, is thin on the "how to" explanation for serving .”

“We have been trying Fresh Start for several weeks. We are enjoyingthe lighter eating with no temptation to pig out - as there isnt anything else in the house. The meats, veg & sauces seem to be of a better quality/flavour than standard food bag. It certainly is a great investment into better living, not just putting food on a plate.”

“My food bag has changed our lives. Meal times are now enjoyable and we get excited about how things will taste. All the little condiments and extras make things seem much more gourmet. My little ones are also trying new foods and are enjoying it. My only negatives are that you don’t deliver rurally so I need to pick this up from a colleagues house each week. I would also love to see a low carb/keto type box someday.”

“I think that overall I really love my Fresh Start food bag, but I love it more in summer than I did in winter (because salads in winter are not the best). I wish there was more variety for the low cal meals, because even if they aren’t all supposed to be salads, they do feel like salads when you eat them each night - if that makes sense. More variety in that way would be great. Cause otherwise it’s like having a lunch box where it’s all just sandwiches. Very good for lunch, but there’s other options for lunch. If you get my example... but overall I think that there’s been very few recipes I haven’t really enjoyed.”

“Best thing that’s ever happened getting ingredients and recipes couriered every Monday, the ingredients are fresh, most recipes are delicious and Meat is free range, only 4 star because there’s too much rice for the GF option”

“I’ve been getting the my family 5 nights for 4 which is great value and the meals are really nice. I love the convenience and variety, the produce is great quality too. I love the vegetarian meals. I’d personally love to have an option where half the meals have meat and half are vegetarian.”

“I like that there is an ease to the whole process, and it is relatively straightforward. Sometimes recipes have a higher degree of difficulty, which is a bit hard to balance with life, but other than that its great that its always something new and exciting, meaning I eat a well-balanced diet with a lot of variety. Especially foods and flavours I usually would not try, but am always pleasantly surprised with!”

“My orders are for Fresh Start. I like most of the recipes. They are healthy and expose me to different foods that I would probably not eat. The recipes are easy to follow, just need to add more seasoning to that. There are couple of things I would change though, which is why the overall status is Good. - packaging. There was an increase in price, however I do not see the difference in packaging. More sustainable/recyclable packaging would be great. There is no need to package cauliflower in the foil for example. - I do not eat red meat, which recipes seem to have 1 or 2 per week. My husband is happy but I need to keep finding substitutes. Having an option to choose amongst recipes would be great. - I would want to have more vegetarian recipes too. There is no need to have 4/5 meat meals a week Overall it is pretty good and I am happy to continue with it.”

“Overall good. Only a couple of recipes I haven’t liked. Notice most meat is fried. What about roasting, grilling etc. was upset to learn that because I cancelled it for one week while on holiday 27/12 to 2/1 I was now ineligible for the 8 week prize. I think this is unfair for over the Christmas period.”
