“* The quality of the meat (especially) is outstanding. * We have been introduced to some wonderful spices / flavours which we would never otherwise have experienced. * Quantity of serving size is sometimes a little too much for us ….but nothing is wasted. The leftovers have been turned into some really delicious soups for lunches. * We are also shareholders and my husband’s comment is one of regret that the share price performance does not match the quality of the food.”

“Bargain box 📦 has change our whanau life for the better we enjoy it and look forward to it weekly, other than missing a few recipes or having some of the veggies and eggs broken in delivery box it's been ideal and even better when they have rewards for getting so many boxes.”

“We absolutely love receiving our food bag each week. The produce is always fresh, it’s healthy food and we are not wasting anything like we were in the past when organising our own dinners. We look forward to a variety of meals and think they are very delicious. Thank you for making it so easy and enjoyable!”

“The food has been generally really good, it's a nice change from our usual evening meals. We have really enjoyed the range of healthy meals and fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, we have has missing ingredients in almost half the boxes we have received. Some of the missing ingredients have been key for the recipe (e.g. pastry for sausage rolls) meaning we can't make the meal as we live out of town and usually notice when preparing ingredients to make the meal. When submitting a complaint about this, the compensation was around the price of single ingredient, as opposed to the entire meal. It has happened in at least half our boxes so this has been really disappointing. Besides the missing ingredients, we have enjoyed the fresh ingredients, as well as the variety of recipes, plus the delivery system have been handy for busy lives.”

“My husband and I (just one older couple) are loving our My Food Bag meals. We are enjoying so much more variety and innovative presentation than we are able to think up each week by ourselves. And the meals are always healthy with a good range of fresh veges and interesting condiments. Delicious 😋”

“We have had weekly deliveries of 4 meals per week since February - its been a great way to try out the vegan options - simple, flavorsome, filling and plenty left over for lunch! The best bit is that our children (15 and 12) have enjoyed being in the kitchen helping us out.”

“I have used 2 other similar companies before I tried My Food Bag and I can confirm that My Food Bag is superior in quality, customer service and price. I can’t fault it. Also, my weekly food bill has gone down since starting My Food Bag when it was rocketing up before I started.”

“I have 3 kids and was getting tired of meal planning and going to the supermarket. Bargain Box has made my life a lot easier in that regard. The kids are able to help prepare the meals and we all love the variety. The flavours are kid friendly and each incorporates veges.”

“Overall my experience of Bargain Box is average. The convenience and variety of the food is good. The portion sizes are also good. However, at times, some of the fresh produce has arrived bruised or squashed. On one occasion I opened a packet of sealed rice and discovered insects inside. I reached out to customer services to advise of this discovery… and 3 days later, they offered me a $30 refund for the meal. Considering that I had to throw away all the packets of rice with the same batch number (3 meals worth) I would hardly say that this is adequate compensation.”
