“I have 3 kids and was getting tired of meal planning and going to the supermarket. Bargain Box has made my life a lot easier in that regard. The kids are able to help prepare the meals and we all love the variety. The flavours are kid friendly and each incorporates veges.”

“Everything is very good but vegetables not fresh most of the time. We got pack today and both green beans are already brown… not good at all. Spinach most of the time not good so we need to use half of the bag… more care please with vege especially greens . For that I would give you only one star Thanks”

“We are enjoying all the different flavours and the really good variety of vegetables. For dietary reasons, I would like it if all your spice mixes did not include dried onion and garlic powder. Perhaps the onion and garlic powder could be supplied separately or low fodmap onion and garlic could be used instead.”

“We were customers of HelloFresh for a long time and moved to My Food Bag when HF kept getting our orders wrong. We like the fact that there is more variety in MFB - but the winning factor was that when you forget to order, MFB sends you choices similar to previous ones. HF sends you the reject recipes - and often they are inedible from our perspectives. The only thing about MFB is there is often way too much by way of vege portions as opposed to protein, and the sauces are almost always too much. We leave them out of the recipe. Cheers”

“I got our first box after becoming a single mother. It was such a relief not to worry about a meal plan for a few days a week. The kids are loving (most) of the meals and I have enjoyed everything we have made this far. The only downside is the amount of veggies we seem to waste as there are a few we don't eat/can't get the kids to eat but I try to repurpose them where I can!”

“We enjoy the convenience and simplicity of these meals. The food is great quality and healthy. At times it would be great to have a bit more variety in terms of cooking methods and ingredients but by skipping some weeks and choosing from the options we manage to mix it up a bit.”

“Our whānau meal times are made easy with Bargain Box! Everyone can follow the easy, step-by-step recipes, if an item is forgotten by the packing team customer support is always there with a refund. I love getting to choose between several recipes each week to include new flavours and ingredients to keep our dinners full of flavour and variety. We always have left overs and love how much easier Bargain Box makes the meals in our lives!”

“We love My Foodbag: Freshstart. No worrying about what to cook. They are nutritious and delicious. The other great thing is they are really filling, even though they are 450 calories or less.”

“Very happy with Bargain Box. It’s helped me to learn how to more confidentially prep food and has reduced our time at the supermarket which is important during COVID. It’s helped us be healthier and also reduced the stress of weeknight cooking. Only gripes are sometimes the ingredients don’t arrive in the best condition, would appreciate more delivery time options and more diverse recipes. But overall thanks!”

“I really like the recipes. Even though I have been cooking for a long time and would be considered a good cook, I am learning lots of new tricks that has really improved my knowledge. I have often in the past told my husband to make the decisions on what we eat because the hardest part is the choice so it is great to know that I can choose from a week of meals and all the ingredients will be there.”

“I would normally have given five stars but this week the spinach was SLIMY and we had to wash and re bag it as soon as it arrived! Also the past few weeks the tomatos have not been fresh,they have been old and over ripe.(Had to use my own) I have just sung my food bag praises to family members, so I hope that there is an improvment. Otherwise very happy with my food bag.”
