“I have loved my food bag over lockdown, the variety of recipes is fantastic and I've cooked meals I wouldn't have otherwise, also the vegetarian menu is awesome”

“I would like to thank the team from My Food Bag , Fresh Start Challenge for helping me to reset my relationship with food. Portion control has been a major bonus of the food bag deliveries. Plus I have tried foods I would never have tried that have given me lower carb choices that are better for my health. I can only say thank you, I have had a really disastrous 5 years after a relationship breakdown. I feel like I'm coming out the other side finally. I don't feel like I'm dieting, I feel like I'm living my best life 😍”

“We get what we pay for and we are happy with it. Bargain Box is closer to what we'd normally cook, is cheaper, and has less packaging waste than Hello Fresh but we get fewer menu choices and we often get less to eat.”

“We get My Choice Bag - I love the options of recipes I can choose from and it means our meals are more varied and a bit more interesting than what I could come up with each week. The quality of the produce and meat is fantastic and the delivery process seamless. Thoroughly recommend MFB!”

“I've tried most of the dinner meal kits up for offer in NZ and My Food Bag is most definitely my favourite. The most common trend with the other meal kits I found was similar ingredients being recycled into 'new recipes'. It was easy for the meals to feel repetitive. I haven't once yet thought that with My Food Bag. Every week feels like there are new recipes, many I am eager to try and excited to cook. And overall I feel the quality and convenience match the price. Lastly would like to mentioned their customer service team are very personable, friendly and fantastic to communicate with.”

“I am disappointed in the service I received, my box of groceries never turned up, when I called they told me it had been delivered to A or B and to check with them, I then had to walk to the neighbours down a long driveway only to see that it hadn’t been delivered there. I was expecting the food that night so the person I spoke to after I got angry said she will try the courier back. I never heard back, nothing was delivered the next day either so I had to call up again, they still have no idea where my delivery went too and said I can have my money back. This is terrible customer service, I was offered no compensation just that my refund can take 5 days, this was my dinners for the week for my children, we had not done shopping and I am at work all week. Really disappointed, I get deliveries every week and to be offered nothing is really bad customer service.”

“We love my food bag! Lots of variation, great tasting, easy recipes and perfect customer service. High quality, fresh ingredients that are sourced locally wherever practical. All the hidden veges put in some of the recipes are great, making the food kid/fussy person friendly. The love and care that has been put into shaping this company is evident, and makes it fantastic.”

“Love the convenience and tasty meals - great that as two people, we often have ingredients left over to use for the rest of week (garlic, spices etc). Only complaint is when we've had meals with flatbreads (e.g. tacos, pita bread) they tend to go stale and brittle very quickly. Overall really great to have and very affordable.”

“We've loved Bargain Box for our family. Tasty meals, and lots of variety to choose from each week. The recipes are easy to follow, and you know in advance what pantry staples are needed so you don't get caught short. Our only gripe is that the recipes tend to take longer than the time indicated on the cards.”

“Bargain box is the best thing I've ever done in regards to food. I wish it was around years ago. I'm a single mother of 4 (all grown up now with my 17-year-old son about to fly the nest) full-time worker, managing a small farm and an art gallery for mental health in the community. Food and meal prep was always a challenge often resulting in meals that weren't that nutritious or tasty. Since Ive been getting bargain box it has revolutionised my meal times, diet and family time around the kitchen. BEST THING IVE EVER DONE. No more waste, everything is available preventing multiple trips to the local dairy often resulting in blowing the budget. I would recommend bargain box to anyone who has a busy life and struggles with what to have and the time to cook, even the teenagers love cooking these meals, its simple and tastes really good with variety.”
