The pre paid parking is predictable. It is essential to keep your details at hand when leaving as the meters never seem to recognise your ticket and you will need to press the help button and have your ref number at hand to allow the operator to raise the barrier. So far I have pre paid parking 4 times and 3 times the meters failed to recognise the ticket. This is a shame as the rest of Newcastle airport is excellent. I always give top marks for the security which is both quick and the staff diligent

Had to rebook flights from Heathrow to Newcastle. Three hours late. Payment of £9 plus to get out of car park. Unha

Four flights landed more or less the same time, in atrocious weather we waited 30 mins in the rain as there was no room in the shelter there was only one bus running which was disgraceful,two bus floats came and went before we managed to get on, found lighting in the parking areas to be very poor and exits not clearly marked making access and egress difficult, after this experience taking over one hour to get from airport to leaving car park guarenteed I would look for alternative parking in the future regards James dick

Had to pay again to exit car park even though I had pre paid in advance. Tried to exit 10 minutes before exit time stated on my acknowledgement form only for the machine to refuse my ticket saying I had exceeded my time.

When I returned to collect my car, a letter 'N' has been deeply etched in the paintwork on the rear bumper. I reported this immediately and a photograph was taken by the attendant and I completed an incident report. So far I have had no feedback from anyone.

The parking area which I had paid £29.90 for 2 nights stay was in disgraceful state of repair. It was full of grit & mud which were trod Intl my new car. About time you put the customer first not last as usual

The last time we used the long term carport, all the car parks were empty but closed and everyone was crammed into the overflow.

When I inserted a ticket in the gate machine to exit I was charged 367 pounds. I had pre-settled.

The car park is badly signposted. expensive and a long way from the terminal, even though there are completely empty car parks closer. Security staff are dour and unwelcoming. The lounge is soulless now and the only purpose seems to be to sell things to the passenger who is forced to run the gauntlet of expensive 'duty free' shops. The coffee shop is awful with paper cups and lukewarm coffee, no healthy options and very little for breakfast even at 6 am. As far as I can see this is the only place to buy coffee. I used to love Newcastle Airport but it is now the same soulless shopping mall as every other regional airport.

not explained enough, no info emailed on arrival and what to do. No parking attentand and when we came back ticket said expired. Even though paid for the whole wkend. Haarlem trying to get out again.

New 'overspill' car park is awful. Bad design, poor signage, long long walk and never a bus passed me! Atrocious service as usual from Newcastle airport.

We were not to happy at 9.30 on a freezing November night after leaving a 26deg Cyprus to a 1deg car park only to find the shortstay barrier would not let us out. After putting the card into the machine the read out said we had overstayed our time [we hadn't] and to go and pay what we owed at the kiosk. How do you do that with no ticket? Had to reverse the car out and park up again into the terminal with the invoice to be told we had to go to the office in the longstay.Went there to be told should have pressed the button on the machine [could not see button in the dark]went back pressed button got out. Taxi in future.

I booked a space in short stay carpark I could not locate the entrance and stopped on the road to check the directions found a spot to make a safe u turn and parked the car. On returning from my holiday I received a £100 fine for parking on the road? I will not be using Newcastle airport in the future.

I booked my car in for meet and greet parking and a valet. You didn't clean it because it was "too dirty" and you told me to contact you to get my money back. I have sent three emails, only one of which has been responded to, asking for my booking reference, and you still haven't given my money back or had the courtesy to respond to my complaint.

Overpriced car parking. If I need to get to my gate, I do not need an IKEA style trek through a scent shop. If I need breakfast, I need a self service counter, not a wait in a queue to be escorted to a table. A bacon egg and beans airport breakfast should not take 20 mins to arrive.

When I entered my prepaid ticket to exit the car park the machine asked me for £167. I had to contact someone to open the barrier.
