“going on holiday makes me happy, but car parks need better labelling so we can find car on way back”

“Parked there 3 weeks ago. Very busy with limited spaces so had to park at furthest point from terminal. Very few shuttle buses running so had to walk both to and from terminal building. On way out through barrier it would not recognise valid parking ticket and had to find an attendant. Have used this long stay car park on many occasions but standards slipping.”

“The car park is easy to find, even the long stay is within walking distance of the terminal. However on your return, don't rely on the number plate recognition, it doesn't work and you have to back off the barrier, go to the hut and wait in a queue to get your ticket verified. A lot of hassle when you just want to get your car and go!”

“Was ok close to the terminal but did everything the instructions said but when I tried to leave the ticket was asking for money but staff waa more than helpful.”

“Newcastle Long Stay car park. Booking is easy. Accessing and leaving the car park is trouble free with automatic identification of registration number. Sometimes a little difficult to find a parking space as the car park has many roads off the main road with road closed signs. Would be better to have signs directing cars to the car park areas that are in use on that day. Storing suitcases on the bus isn't easy.”

“ALTHOUGH THE CAR PARK IS CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT, THERE SEEMED TO BE ONLY ONE BUS WORKING ON THE EVENING, WHICH MEANT THERE WAS A FIFTEEN MINUTE WAIT FOT THE BUS.”

“I am afraid it made me very angry. On our arrival home, (cases late off plane). We waited 20 minutes for the bus to take us back to our car. The car was parked in the new car park. The driver drove past our stop. He was rude to my wife when she asked him why he had not stopped. He said we should of pressed the stop button when we neared the stop. It was dark and with no lighting on the bus stop we could not see it, also the windows on the bus were steamed up and it was full of passengers, that made it difficult to see.”

“airport experience good but we were let down by the long term parking bus 4 flights landed within15 mins and a lot of people were waiting for transport to the car park but there was only one bus we had to wait in the cold for our turn to get back to our car this situation for an international airport was unacceptable and the problem needs to be sorted out this happened at 0200 hrs when all we wanted to do was get home”

“I have no complaints about the airport itself, its a nice size, easy to get around. First time I have paid for car parking and the cost was crazy, way to expensive. Cost me just under £40 to park the car for 28hours”
