Not east to find staff not helpful in the rain

Having paid to use the short stay car park for ten days with the convenience of "easy" access to the terminal I found vacant spaces were at a premium and difficult to find. I entered the car park at approx 12pm 6th June. I eventually found a space in the car park in the section nearest to the access egress road leading from/to the drop off area. Leaving the car with my wife, both of us pulling two 22kg cases we headed up towards the terminal building only to find our way blocked a) by cars park next to the pedestrian pathway with no room to pass between the cars b) a fence along the path with no access gate. The only alternative was to retrace our steps back down a line of parked cars to the bottom of the line and then turn and make our way back towards the terminal. There are no signs within the section we parked indicating how to leave on foot to gain "easy" access to the terminal.

On vacating the car park my ticket wasn't reckonised so was stuck at the barrier, after pressing the help button I was questioned by the operative if I had payed to stop in the car park which I had booked and pre paid a premium price for , having a line off other cars behind me not able to get out off the the car park left me to be very flustered and a very sad end to my car park experience

We parked our car in Overfill Area 3 on the morning of 5th June at 0330 hours and walked to the bus no. 14 for pick up by the airport courtesy bus. The bus shelter was full - about 20 people waiting - and it was raining heavily. It took 20 mins for the bus to arrive and we had to ring twice before the bus picked us up. Everyone was very angry.

3 planes arrived together and in your wisdom annouced the same carasol for all flights even though 2 were at a standstill. The luggage that was placed on first was for passengers that hadnt cleared passport control so their luggage blocked up the carasol. Parked in long stay car park on returning to vehicle even though the driver saw that i had stood up for the next stop he continued driving because i did not press the bell. Very rude comments were made to myself - which i did not appreciate. I do not pay for a service for then to get insulted by your employees.

Straightforward parking in the short stay hindered by NO TROLLEYS available! Resulting in two journeys back and forth with a baby in tow! Really Newcastle airport?

Yet again there were barriers up and "full" signs at parks with spaces and "spaces" signs at full parks. It took us 15 minutes to find a space. As usual there was no bus anywhere in sight for either journey. It was also expensive

we use this parking every time we go away and it is always easy to use with no problems. Only thing this time which is what we were disappointed about was we have twins so my husband dropped us off in short stay and then picked us up, while he went and parked the car. Both times we were charged £3 (total of £6) both times to do this. We would expect once paid for long stay you should get picking up and dropping off included in the price not to be charged extra when you have already paid for parking!

Every Time I use the car parking at the airport the operating system does not recognise my registration number hence I have to go to the office for the staff to check my documentation and allow me to leave, you system needs updating. The staff are always very helpful.

I booked the long stay area, but on arrival the long stay was signposted as been full and coned off. I could see many empty spaces in there but sign said FULL. Why? I was sign directed to park in the overspill area number 2. I am a disabled badge holder and did not see any provision for disabled parking in overspill. Buses did not come so had to walk 10 mins to terminal dragging luggage. Must be the worst on site airport parking in UK. I have a holiday booked in June and contemplating other arrangements.

Had to wait too long for the bus. The driver could not have been more UNHELPFUL. Why can't they announce when a stop is coming up the area it covers. You need drivers with a different attitude - not good.

Car park charge is disgusting... use it weekly no loyalty pricing.. security is understaffed so 30 mins at times..

1st. Plane arrived on time from Tenerife but airport didn't realise!!! Pilot apologised but sat for 15 to 20 mins until someone realised and brought the air bridge to the side of the plane. 2nd. Put ticket in machine to lift barrier but machine said ticket was not valid. Had to reverse away from machine, go to office to confirm ticket was valid and arrange exit. A number of other people with the same problem. In the early hours of the morning the last thing you want is to be delayed especially by incompetence.

looked like there was lots of parking but couldn't get on to it, no regular bus so walked to airport and back like most people

It was raining heavily when we landed, it was dark and the bus windows were very steamed up so nobody could see the shelter numbers in the car park. Despite being asked to shout out the numbers so passengers could identify their stops the driver refused.

On arrival parking was easy with plenty of space between cars, on return there was scuffs & scratches on drivers door & rear near side panel

I telephoned the operator and booked our two family cars onto the short stay car park for one week. On our return one car was able to exit whilst the other was not. On pressing the help button the officer informed me that the car was only booked in for one day and that I should go back to the pay machine and settle the outstanding amount. I declined and went to the control office to explain that I had booked two cars using the same flight details, and paid the same amount for each car, and that it must be an administration error. Eventually he realized that I was correct and allowed me to exit but the delay caused me to be late for a family function I was supposed to attend - the very reason I did not book the long stay as I did not have time to wait for the transfer bus. The next day when washing my car I found a dent in my door caused by someone opening their door onto mine which I knew had happened at the airport because I had also washed the car the day before the holiday. Very unhappy!
