Below is a e-mail I sent to the Airport parking customer services on 03/07/2017 it is now 13/07/2017 and have I had no reply off them, quite honestly again I don't think this is a good service Yesterday July 2nd arrived back to Newcastle airport after a short break collected my car and proceeded to the far right hand side barrier in the short stay carpark and my ticket was rejected several times , and only to find the call button on the barrier machine was not working, so I moved the car back and proceeded up to the main pay machines to see if I needed to revalidate my ticket in one of the pay machines, only to find one of the two machines out of order so now we have four barriers and two pay machines and at least two of then out of order this is not good enough when the airport is operating 365 days in a year. So I go back to my car and move it over to barrier number 1 left hand side and this time the call button is now working and I get through and the lady let me out. Quite honestly I don’t this is a good service . Waiting your response W Donkin

I have already contacted you concerning my ongoing irritation with your cameras not regonising my number plates every time I park, necessitating my having to ask to be released.

It could do with parts of the carpark and paths resurfacing. Also the kerbs should be dropped, if you walk to and from airport the paths are very poor, the parking boxes could do with repainting.

Paid extra for medium stay but it was full upon arrival so had to park in the long stay (further away from terminal) car park overgrown with weeds and not paved. Not worth the money. Newcastle Airport must be raking in the cash judging by the number of cars in the car park. Please invest in the upkeep of car park!

Not bad just for an international airport it is pretty basic. Not a lot of shopping places no clothes shops like at Manchester and Heathrow. So not bad but boring

On booking long stay car park I then was offered short stay for extra cost, all details were correct on the confirmation form. On arrival back to airport from holiday, ticket entered and message from machine" that we had gone over time" words to that effect, contacted office and after heated conversation, it was found that the registration number of the car on the paperwork had been imputed incorrectly, 30 min delay and argument on landing, same thing happened 2 years ago in the long stay car park

We booked our parking online with no problem at all , came to the airport and parked the car and again all fine. Problem we had was when we came to leave the car park the barrier did not recognize our registration and wouldn't let us out - I pressed the button to ask for help and the man I spoke to wasnt very helpful I gave him my reference number three times and he got the wrong booking twice giving another persons name. He was saying no no we dont have a booking for you - I gave the registration and all my details and he then found it lifted the barrier ( not a sorry for inconvenience or anything ) I know it was late and everyone is tired but a little politeness goes a long way .

The ticket didn't work at the exit gate, and I had to get the reference number from a piece of paper in my boot.

I use the long stay parking quite a few times during the year and on the way out the ticket never seems to open the barrier and i have to go into the office to sort out. The other week i used the short stay car park for 4 days and again when i got the to barrier and inserted the ticket the barrier would not open and said that i had gone over my time and had to pay more money at a machine, even though the ticket was well inside the expiry time, i called the buzzer and was told this often happens, not good with cars waiting behind me.

on returning to newcastle airport and boarding the bus the doors closed twice catching my leg causing no problem at the time, but light bruising next day, but my problem was the action of the driver who just blamed a problem on the door shutting when he put the hand break on and then found it funny that 2 young girls behind me were laughing about it my welfare was of no concern to him.

It's a collective experience from using the long stay over several trips, we have always missed the bus finding it quicker to walk than wait for another! Last time we did catch it on the way to our trip and by the time it had done the overflow car park we could have walked it much quicker. The busses could be smaller and more frequent or the empty car park spaces nearer the terminal should be reopened allowing those who can walk to do so without spoiling the experience.

They system said I had out stayed my time. Yet I had paid for another 6 hours. Had to call For help. Who let me out... I would not have minded if it wasn't 3am

Having paid to use the short stay car park for ten days with the convenience of "easy" access to the terminal I found vacant spaces were at a premium and difficult to find. I entered the car park at approx 12pm 6th June. I eventually found a space in the car park in the section nearest to the access egress road leading from/to the drop off area. Leaving the car with my wife, both of us pulling two 22kg cases we headed up towards the terminal building only to find our way blocked a) by cars park next to the pedestrian pathway with no room to pass between the cars b) a fence along the path with no access gate. The only alternative was to retrace our steps back down a line of parked cars to the bottom of the line and then turn and make our way back towards the terminal. There are no signs within the section we parked indicating how to leave on foot to gain "easy" access to the terminal.

On vacating the car park my ticket wasn't reckonised so was stuck at the barrier, after pressing the help button I was questioned by the operative if I had payed to stop in the car park which I had booked and pre paid a premium price for , having a line off other cars behind me not able to get out off the the car park left me to be very flustered and a very sad end to my car park experience

We parked our car in Overfill Area 3 on the morning of 5th June at 0330 hours and walked to the bus no. 14 for pick up by the airport courtesy bus. The bus shelter was full - about 20 people waiting - and it was raining heavily. It took 20 mins for the bus to arrive and we had to ring twice before the bus picked us up. Everyone was very angry.

3 planes arrived together and in your wisdom annouced the same carasol for all flights even though 2 were at a standstill. The luggage that was placed on first was for passengers that hadnt cleared passport control so their luggage blocked up the carasol. Parked in long stay car park on returning to vehicle even though the driver saw that i had stood up for the next stop he continued driving because i did not press the bell. Very rude comments were made to myself - which i did not appreciate. I do not pay for a service for then to get insulted by your employees.
