Car was just as i left it, however it just felt weird. I paid online prior, I got to the carpark, pressed the button for a ticket, then left 3 days without inputting my registration or details anywhere! So I could have just not paid it felt. However my car was fine and there is probably a method behind what I could see anyway. Recommeneded!

Use the parking at newcastle airport regularly. Its straightforward and the online booking is simple. Biggest issue is the OCR cameras not recognising your reg plate at least 30% of the time you have to reverse from the barrier and go into the office to get your ticket validated.

Long wait for coach back to car park after making call

On exit the barrier did not open. An attendant arrived reasonably quickly to let me out but it was disappointing that this did not work automatically

On my return I inserted the ticket into the machine and was shocked to be asked to pay over £97 for a service already paid for. I contacted the office via the intercom and had to visit the office with my parking confirmation reference. I was then able to return to my car, insert the ticket again and exit the car park. I hope the service will be better next time Regards J Featherstone

The usual problem on our return, unable to exit the car park with our ticket. Tried two machines, both wanted £85 and one ate the ticket. Had to reverse the car back to the office, not easy when there are cars behind all waiting to exit the car park (unsuccessfully). Clearly the number plate recognition system does not work and causes mayhem. Not what you need in the dark with a 60 mile drive ahead in the freezing cold. We have always used this car park but I think we may have to consider a different one in future.

Everything went to plan until after our holiday, put the ticket into the machine (which was prepaid on-line) to be informed that the ticket was invalid and was demanding £85. Tried three times without any luck, there were other customers having the same problem at the same time causing a queue. We had to go into the control office where our information was checked and issued another ticket without any explanation or apology.

Entry & Exit signs within the parking sections could be improved. Bus pickup point on return should be outside the arrivals door not at other end of the check-in hall.

Entry is OK although the signage could be improved a little. You should however be able to find your car park OK. On departure (morning 0800ish) there were a number of shuttle buses on the move taking people from the car park to the terminal. We missed two (couldn't get cases out of the car in time) so had to walk to the terminal - quite a walk but do-able. On returning around 2030hrs no shuttle buses were visible so we walked again. Our biggest moan is on exiting the car park it is impossible to see the slot for the ticket (if leaving in the dark). The slot has a small weather shield above which blocks out any light whatsoever. A simple LED light would make all the difference

The frequency of shuttle buses is not up to the standard of other regional airports.

Not a good experience, having pre booked my reservation on line, as usual on trying to exit the car park I came up against the ticket machine telling me I had overstayed my ticket time (I was actually 10 minutes earlier than I had pre booked for !), I then press the button to talk to some one who takes a age to try and find my reservation number I was asked for it 3 times, then to be told "you have to put your ticket in the machine before it will open" !, this I had done as the machine told me my ticket had expired. Eventually I was let out after a 10 minute delay. This is the 3rd time in a row that this has happened to me and always I have pre booked my stay. Please sort out the ticket or number plate recognition system as it is very frustrating. I now expect my ticket not to work on exit and I am always right.

On our return both my and the party I had travelled with had had our tyres let down. It was late evening and went unnoticed for miles.

Normally I have found the Meet & Greet service excellent but the last two times I have been disappointed. Despite telephoning as requested to let them know when I would arrive, there has been nobody there to meet and greet. I have had to telephone again when I have arrived to get someone to come to the car park. Its been me who did the meet and greet rather than the other way around. Having said that the wait wasn't long but it shouldnt have been necessary.

Long stay parking, the area closest to the airport always seems to be closed making the walk twice as long to the car to the far car park

Generally all good and I will use again. A couple of minor points which you may want to consider: 1) clearer instructions regarding the process. e.g. expect to retrieve a ticket from the ticket machine on arrival, however this was not required as the number plate recognition system opened the exit gate on departure. It would have been helpful if this has been communicated via the booking confirmation. 2) We had to wait 10-15 minutes for a bus to take us to the terminal. I would have expected a shorter wait time. A little stressful when traveling with small children. Other than that reasonable value for money regards S

Not sure why I was not offered the short stay car park as I was only away 3 days ? Instead I ended up at the furthest corner and end up walking as this was the quickest way than waiting for the bus on a Monday morning.

On arrival at the airport the parking is clearly signposted although some electronic signage displaying which areas have available parking would be very beneficial. We seemed to be directed as far as possible away from the airport, when there were hundreds of empty spaces which were nearer. When we got back from holiday we walked to the car as the bus was no where to be seen.

Arrived at 06:00 on cold and frosty Saturday morning, spaces nearest to airport not in use. Parked some distance away from exit, courtesy buses non-existent, although could see a few parked up but they were not in operation.

parking for my first time was confusing to see where I am going ( needing more signs to direct us to a right place and when coming bsack where exactly to be dropped by bus to be as close as possible to our car in order to stop dragging our suit cases 1 so generally more signs needing knowing how to be dropped by bus as close as possible to our cars .

parking is fine finding it is also fine paying for the stay is fine, BUT, the number recognition system is hopeless, this is the 5th time I have used the parking system here at Newcastle and 4 times out of 5 the barrier has remained down when trying to leave. I have a ticket I have pre paid for my stay and when I come to leave the machine takes my ticket and asks for payment, I then have to leave my car at the barrier and go to the office to sort it out, leaving a very angry que waiting for me to move my car. All else is fine, sort this one and it will be 100%. It did work once, so what is wrong
