Car park was fairly full but simple to gain access and egress

The long stay car park was very busy and signage to vacant areas needs to be improved. The biggest problem was that when we arrived back into the airport at 7.00 pm after a delayed flight from Jersey, we had to wait until 8.00 for a shuttle bus to take us back to the car. Surely the shuttle bus needs to run 24/7. The sign on the bus stop outside the terminal indicated that there are no shuttle buses between 4.30 and 8.00. This needs addressing urgently as it could mean that people with mobility issues who could not walk back to their car, could be stranded in the terminal for 3 or more hours. As an airport with ambitions to expand services, this presents a major problem.

Easy to park but rather difficult to find the car again. It would be better if each lane was individually labelled instead of huge areas, especially when it is dark.

The car park was easy to find, but it was very full so finding a space proved difficult in the dark. We did not see one bus that could have taken us to the terminal and there was no signs anywhere directing us to walk there. We got lost. We noticed lots of small fences that blocked alot of the ways to get to where we needed to be, so we ended up having to hump our cases over them. No ideal when we had children and it was raining. The airport itself was very hot, and very very busy. We waited in the jet2 queue and I almost feinted from the heat. Check in was brief and straightforward. We purchased fast pass for security, which we got straight though. I cant comment on the normal security route as I didnt look. We had breakfast and a drink which was nice(and cool), but was busy. We then went to find a coffee and somewhere to sit. It was extremely busy and there were no seats, so we had to sit on the floor. Not ideal when you have back and leg problems. Again, it was extremely hot and busy which I didnt like. The gate was announced at 30 minutes prior to departure, so we headed down there, then as we got halfway down one corridor it was announced there was a gate change so we had to double back on ourselves. But by the time we got to the gate they were loading the passengers so we got straight on the plane. Then it was announced that there was no one to push the plane back and we had missed our time slot, so we had to wait.

I am a bit disappointed with the price increase from last year we use the car parking at least 3 times a year and have seen a big jump of at least £25 extra I try to get a discount code but that only takes £10 off, never mind it is what it is.

The airport is very well organised but expensive. We mainly try to get a hotel and parking deal as it is better value. There are often codes for discounts but they change them very quickly.

The Meet and greet parts were very good, friendly and quick the only problem we had after 14 days away was when we returned home at 05.00hrs my car was not parked near your terminal instead it was right at the bottom the car park stuck away in a corner which made it fairly difficult to get out. We have used your Meet and Greet service several times and have always found on our return our car would be ready for us parked virtually outside the MEET and Greet terminal and for the money, we paid that's the minium that we have come to expect.

No problem, hassle free. But the cost?! Seems to have almost doubled in recent times - only negative hence why not 5 stars. £83 for 7 days…

Our recent experience wasn't good at all. The departure lounge is absolutely chock-a-block and it's a desperate search for somewhere to sit. On return, we had to sit around in baggage reclaim for two hours waiting for our luggage; thankfully in the end a manager unloaded the plane himself, hats off to him. The courtesy bus to the car park was not running. I understand there are staff shortages but it isn't a great experience for the punters.

Insufficient Disabled Parking in long stay and far to far to walk to the terminal

OK for a small-ish airport, but bulging at the seams. Long-stay car parking, in particular, very unsatisfactory and difficult to negotiate.

Both arriving and departing the bus service was very poor we managed to walk to the terminal and no sign of the bus on both occasions. Yes we could of waited but 15 minutes seemed a little to long.

The fact that you no longer have a 24 hour bus service to and from the long stay car park leaves you well behind the majority of British Airports. You say it is only a few minutes to the long stay car park that’s true to the gate at the exit but getting to one’s car can then take considerabley longer. Surely it must occur to you that the vast majority of users of the long stay car park will have luggage and again that causes problems getting to and from the long stay car park.

Couldn’t find a spot in long term parking so eventually parked in some dirt area.

Very easy to use booking service although couldn't change dates after a holiday was changed so had to cancel and rebook, as a result paid more money. Parking straight forward and easy to use. No problems at all. Booked again for later in the year but prices have gone up by about £20! Very expensive to what it used to be.

The car park needs tarmac, the parking areas are all gravel and better organisation of empty parking spaces as very hard to find at times.

Due to the car parks being full (we checked for a while), we had to park in an area of the car park that was gravel and not tarmac which caused a real issue in pulling our cases along behind us. I actually had to carry one case because my wheel was damaged. I would like someone to contact me regarding claiming the cost of a new suitcase. This is not what you expect when you pay £75+ to park.

Great facility upon arrival, straight into lane park up & hand keys in and away you go 2 minutes to airport check in . However on return from our holiday a completely different service. Very early return to Newcastle 3pm as plane late. On arrival to our collect car there was a queue waiting to book cars in and a queque waiting to get keys . Only 2 harrased staff on the desk trying their best & it was a bit chaotic to say the least. Separate desks for dropping off & collection during busy times would be much better..
