“I'm very pleased with the quality of the sofa. However, the delivery service is not good as the boxes are too big to get through a normal door therefore you have to sign a waver for any damage. Also, no service to take away your old sofa which left us sawing up our sofa and endless trips to the tip.”

“The people who front the company that I dealt with were great - the manager of the shop in Norfolk I ordered from and the delivery guys. All brilliant and helpful. But oh dear OakFurnitureland the company! The colour of the Kemble range is nothing like the website pictures. I took "Putty" to mean off white like window putty and that's how it looks in the pictures. So when I went in to the shop I didn't actually ask to see the furniture. I thought I knew what I wanted and ordered confidently. Big mistake. I don't have off white wardrobes. I have grey wardrobes and it's quite a deep grey. But I understand I would lose 30% of the price I paid if I try to return them for this reason and in any case, it would be such a performance trying to get them out of the house again I can't face it. So I will live with my grout grey should-have-been-putty-off-white wardrobes and put it down to experience. But my main problem and the reason I will not use this company again is the packaging. Please don't bother to come back with a defence about the need to protect the furniture. I already know all that. But there must be a better way to do it than the enormous amount of polystyrene used. I filled and I mean filled to bursting, 4 WHEELIE bin bags with the little bits of polystyrene alone plus I had 2 car loads of sheets and blocks of the stuff and cardboard and I drive a 4 x 4 !! The amount was immense and all that polystyrene can't be recycled. It will go into landfill and there it will stay for decades. I'm appalled. There are no excuses OakFurnitureland. This is your responsibility. You must invest money in finding greener alternatives and quickly. And don't pass that cost on to the customer please.”

“Have not been able to use furniture yet - will do so from Saturday. Looks good. Your pricing policy is annoying as the only price is the perpetual "sale" price which is expensive and the non-sale price is ludicrous. You should provide a service, like others in your market, to deliver, install. unpack and remove packaging. I am, luckily, reasonably fit for my age, but took 2 hours to assemble and 1 hour to cut up boxes for acceptance at our local amenity site. The stipulation of keeping the boxes to return faulty items really unreasonable. I chose a "free" gift of a clock which you sell for around £150 and the quality of the movement and the clock hands is extremely poor.”

“Very good customer service on purchase via website, sales team called to discuss options for delivery. Delivered on day booked, contacted by Drivers half hour before delivery, brought upstairs to flat. Excellent Advise given on how to unwrap the products by the driver. Products wrapped and packed extremely well. Wardrobe and bedside cabinet looks fantastic in situ, Excellent quality.”
