“Generally very good, but can be irritating if item is out of stock and no attempt made to offer substitution ie bananas Elastic bands on egg boxes has really reduced breakages Sometimes bags really crammed with heavy items ie milk and juice Although I have been told that packaging is guaranteed would still prefer raw meat and poultry to be packed separately”

We'll always attempt to give you a suitable alternative if we can't fulfil your order exactly, it may be a case that we couldn't find one at the time of picking the order. It's also concerning to hear that your shopping bags have been over packed, this must be extremely frustrating & we'd like to reassure that this should not be the case. Thank you for emailing us Jane, we're very sorry for the concern you had with the raw meat not being packed separately. As mentioned in the email we have sent you, we have investigated the heat-sealing process for raw meat and fish products, and have found that it has been extensively developed, improving the safety and resilience of the packaging. We are now confident that it provides an acceptable barrier from other foodstuffs, and therefore we can safely pack these products within the same carrier bag as ready-to-eat products. We hope we've been able to address your concerns with this in our email we've sent, but if you would like us to help any further please do get back in touch with us.

“I have been using Ocado for 8 years. Their service is punctual and reliable (during this time there has been only two problem deliveries due to the computers in the centre.). The goods are of a high standard and the non-Waitrose selection is increasing and of good quality and value. Their customer service is excellent and of the same standard as John Lewis. I'm very happy to recommend Ocado to everyone.”

“We find the delivery men always polite which is important and makes a difference. We would prefer more of the fruit from UK. The quality of the lettuce is not usually very good with live and dead insects and decay. The chicken is not always packed separately which we have mentioned before and feel is very important should not be in with fridge items.The bread only lasts two or three days .and the orgOtherwise we find ocado a very good delivery service with a good easy to use website and choice of food”

“Quick, easy, great delivery options. Happy, polite, helpful delivery people. No quibble refunds if products don't meet standards. Good offers. Using the search option on the website 100% easier and quicker than literally searching through aisles at a supermarket for some unusual spice or packet. I love Ocado.”

“Amazing online supermarket with a great selection of food and non-food items, all competitively priced. Any problems with deliveries have always been dealt with swiftly and efficiently. “Brilliant range of products Ocado always ahead of the game! I suffer from an immune problem and have a specific diet. If I want to get hold of something unusual like nut butter, coconut flour or dairy free wheat free products Ocado always seems to stock it. I even wanted grass fed free range beef the other day and was impressed they had it on their web site along with Laverstoke Park Farm buffalo! You rarely fail me Ocado I would not shop anywhere else and you deliver right onto my kitchen table with a smile! Your membership pass is worth every penny, I can have as many deliveries a week as I want at no extra charge!”

“Great selection of goods from budget to luxury, non grocery goods for gifts snd home, perfect user-friendly website, amazingly responsive and prompt customer service, friendly punctual drivers, if delayed or early drivers phone, delivery timing updates are on the website page or app (hardly happens), comprehensive well illustrated information for items especially ingredients and nutrition, search filters the best. I could go on and on ...! The only suggestion I have is to introduce more appropriate packing as sometimes items are a bit squashed or things like bread put under orange juice. I have been a dedicated customer for nearly 10 yrs and will continue. I never shop in supermarkets as I have mobility problems.”

“Have been using ocado for past 18 months and consistently impressed with the service, and the quality of produce, ( my reason for changing from other online supermarket was that their fresh produce arrived in a poor state and had to be thrown away). Love the smart pass, which means I have more frequent , but less costly shops, I use the app in my iPad as an ongoing shopping list and place order when over £40. Drivers are always helpful, polite, and if they want to come early they ask if it is convenient, rather than just telling you they are.”

“I would recommend Ocado to anyone who is tired of driving to an out of town supermarket, parking, loading the trolly and probably buying more than you need, then unloading at the checkout and packing into bags. After all that you have to get it back to the car, load it into the car, unload the car when you get home and unpack the bags to put things away. With Ocado all you have to do is place your order online and this can be made easy for you by having regular items in your shopping already in your online basket when you log on. When the shopping arrives at your door, the driver will bring it right into your kitchen if you wish. All you have to do is put your shopping away. My shopping has rarely been late and then I was informed of a justifiable reason. The pain of shopping at Christmas is very much eased too. The occasional damaged item is swiftly refunded. I have no complaints.”

“I have relied on Ocado for my main grocery shopping for about 10 years. I tried all the competitors at the start, and although my earliest experience of Ocado and a missing bag of goods was not brilliant, any more recent mishap has been handled extremely well. The delivery people have consistantly been good, with many been extremely helpful. I am impressed with the ever expanding range of goods, including things generally for the home. The latter cuts down on the amount of packaging that a certain online prime retailer usually includes! I will miss Ocado when I move to the North East later this year, the competitors do not offer the long use by dates, range of products etc.”

“Have tried others, they are cheaper, but for quality & reliability, Ocado are streets ahead . Their drivers are curtious & helpful. Among their many atributes, if they find any product cheaper elswhere, then they will credit you the difference. Yes. Give them a go, you wont be sorry.”
