I ordered an item for a Christmas present on 5 December...plenty of time. Never received item. Never received response from seller. On the 17th I was getting worried it hadn't arrived...OnBuy will NOT help sort out any problems, they tell you to contact PayPal and chase the money down yourself. PayPal takes 2 weeks before they give you a response regarding getting your money back. In the meantime, I'm having a last minute panic trying to find a Christmas gift to replace the one that was supposed to arrive!”

“Bought a 3 tonne trolley Jack. To lift a range rover p38. On using it , the dam thing crumpled, luckily my son hadn't gone under the car. Cheap metal, dont buy. Contacted seller, eventually offered me a small refund and I could keep the Jack. no way do I want to keep the jack i would like full refund. It's taken that long trying to get a reply, when i applied for the paypal 180 days protection, it was to late by about 10 days. So back to contacting seller, after more messages i accepted 35.00 refund, then they said PayPal wont allow refund to go though, so i keep messaging, finally get a reply it's now been too long for refund, but i can have a replacement dangerous Jack. So i agree to this (i just want something to take out of their pockets, it's going to scrap man if it ever turns up). Dont know how they sleep at night knowing they could kill someone.”

After it gave varied results at a wide range when I complained and was told eventually that I could return it which I did through the post office at my expense. Weeks later still no refund, contacted OnBuy heard nothing, weeks later still nothing so complained on line to customers services because there is no phone number, got a reply saying they will be in contact and now it’s over 6 months still not resolved.
I will never buy anything from this company again but I m not letting this go.

Worst online shopping experience ever. I bought 2 (Light gray) Linen Fabric Accent Armchair Chair Sofa Cafe Seats.
Very poor craftsmanship. Holes are drilled on wrong places. Some holes are half drilled and screw can not pass through. Back cushion is bigger in size than the lower one so can not fit in between chair arms. Hence, can not be assembled. Useless pieces of wood for me. I have also attached the pictures so defects can be seen clearly. I wanted to return the chairs and when contacted the seller and showed the pictures, instead of accepting the return and refund, they started silly offers. First they asked me to accept £5! I paid £119.98 for those 2 chairs. Every morning I receive a message in which they increase the refund amount. (It's gone up to £40 now :) . I am just asking them to take their chairs back and refund my money. But they keep doing silly offers. I contacted Onbuy, there customer service agent did not bothered to read my message and sent me a copy paste reply to wait 72 hours for the seller to contact you. I am in contact with the seller since 27th August. Now I am going to try my luck with PayPal to get refund. Otherwise I will make a complaint to Financial Ombudsman / consumer court. Fortunately got enough time and money to take this to Happy Ending! Moral of the story "Avoid them"”
